  1. Bro. I'd keep it if it fit. I'm a runt now. I don't want it to go to a stanger. Bigger deals for my bros.
  2. BAE ECLiPSE RBAV-SF (by SDS) Size: XL Color: Khaki I bought this a few years ago when I was much more.... girthy. I tried to cinch it down, but I'm just too small now. This is the the BAE upgrade to the Eagle Maritime CIRAS. It was literally top of the market when I bought it. It's been worn a few times as I goofed off in it, but nothing too straining. It looks like new still. This armor carrier is designed to fall off your body in case of an emergency. It is laced together with a coated steel cable system that runs throughout the carrier. Grab the cable with either hand and pull. The cable releases the armor panels. No worrying about deep water or waiting for medics to cut through your gear. I never put plates in it, but it'll hold the largest plates available. It currently has an old/expired (2003) Second Chance "TriFlex" level IIIa (*discontinued) in it. I'll throw in the armor for free if the buyer pays the difference in shipping. This is an extra large model. Just like a T-shirt size. If you wear an XL, this will adjust to your size. This RBAV comes pre-assembled. I'm including a new Maxpedition "Monkey Combat" admin pouch ($35-$40 value). I paid waaaay too much when I bought it. I'll let the whole package go here for $200 w/ free shipping. (+$15 if you want the armor insert too, otherwise I'm rolling up the carrier into a small package). (Internet pic)
  3. I built the rifle with the NEMO bbl. Edge owns the OBR... we're about 3,000 miles apart... Although that doesn't stop us. They are nearly as accurate. I'll give overall reliability and effectiveness to the OBR over something I built. I do a good job, but I wouldn't have to stay at my regular job if I could build like LaRue.
  4. Vet hasn't called with results from the biopsy yet. On the other hand, the wounds look to be drying out. The antibiotics and pain killers seem to be doing their job. He's got his appetite back and a bit of energy. My wife is spoiling him with some high octane canned food. The damned beast eats better than I do.
  5. Only against the law if you're caught. I'd rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6. I've been CCW for almost 20 years... and I'm only 36. Figure that one out. Not saying it's right. Just stating opinion. Do you really think a jury would've convicted someone if they were armed at Sandy Hook or Aurora, and stopped the shooter mid-violence? You only have to convince one.
  6. That's awesome.
  7. I built a 600 yard rifle. An absolute slayer! I went with a 17" custom barrel. Even my Nightforce is BDC'd for 600 yards. Hindsight being 20/20, I would've gone with a FA (Criterion) 16" LW rifle length barrel, instead of my custom carbon fiber barrel. I built an 18.5" rifle that is hitting steel at 1,000 yards, launching 175gr proj's. That's using a NEMO bbl.
  8. Lol. Hahahahaha... So I pick up Greg's OBR to play with his off set KAC sights and ask, "Did you sight these in yet?" My good friend replies, "No. I was drunk when I installed them. I haven't even looked at them yet." I was perplexed by the set up as I shouldered the rifle. I looked and looked, but couldn't figure out how these fancy new sights worked... how was I supposed to line up the rear post with the front peep? Inquisitive, I ask, "are you sure these are installed properly?" Greg boldly responded, "fukc dude, I was so drunk when they came in the mail that I just didn't want to lose them. I just attached them to the rail and threw it back in the safe." We all had a good laugh at the backwards sights, showing very creative ways to use them in their currently installed position.
  9. Woke up this morning. Just another day off. Grabbed a pair of cargo shorts off the floor, and a t-shirt out of my pile of clothes-to-be-folded-but-I'm-too-lazy. Then I reached over to my nightstand, grabbed my PPK/s slid it into my waistband and joined my family in the kitchen for breakfast. Now I'm sitting here, watching my kid play, reading you guys, drinking a coffee... ready for whatever comes to my door at 8:00 in the morning. Make it part of your everyday day routine. It's amazing how people won't leave home without their phones.
  10. You like low profile scopes. If you had a PRS (or similar) the high mount might might be a lot more comfortable.
  11. Very purrdy
  12. When I lived closer to the country, we'd hear about ranchers using rock salt in their Shotguns. Not possible here. We have a couple possible ideas. One, it could be a reaction from something at the groomer. Two, we never rule out cancer. Three, mites are still a possibility but the vet thinks unlikely. Four, dogs can get bad eczema and this may be a real bad case. I live in a small suburb. My dog never leaves the yard and I've been home from work the entire time. I'm hoping this is just allergy related or maybe some nasty heat rash that he irritated. All I know is that the vet bill had completely wiped my "toy" fund out for a while.
  13. That was our first thought too. But they are thinking not. They didn't see any bugs in the hair or in the wounds.
  14. Here's the damage. It looks even worse in person.
  15. They don't think it's an insect. Anything is possible at this point. Allergic reaction? Chemical burn? Cancer? Who knows. We have him on heavy antibiotics and pain killers now. My wife is devastated.
  16. I went out to play with my dog the other day, and I noticed he had some bloody spots in his fur. My first instinct was an animal got in the yard (TactiCat?). He got weaker and nearly stopped eating. I got him to the vet yesterday. Holy shiit things went downhill fast. The tech working on my dog said she cried while shaving him because he was in so much pain. The sores cover his entire torso, all of them open/bleeding. Well, $700 later, and a biopsy on its way to the lab, my dog is home and I still don't know what wrong with him. I had a fishing trip planned this weekend... that's not happening. I thought I was buying a new handgun this week too... that's also not happening.
  17. SS, you can have a .308 barrel bored out to .338 Fed. When I bought my CF wrapped barrel, they offered to bore up to .338 Fed for $100 any time I wanted. Find a decent barrel in the $250-$300 range, then have it bored out. Wait time would likely be only a few days.
  18. Magpul MBUS Gen2... $75-$90 and they work GREAT.
  19. Where are all the pictures???
  20. A suppressed MRAD would be pure sex. That much power... silenced! That'd be like banging a supermodel... bareback. Buy that fucker... and don't pull out!
  21. My wife later tells me she was mortified that I did that. She says, "what if he took that negatively and got upset?" I told her simply, "we wouldn't have been friends in the first place if I couldn't make the joke." Great times commenced... and will commence again!

  23. I agree with the suppressor, but this is a better brake/adapter... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/870752/advanced-armament-co-aac-blackout-muzzle-brake-51-tooth-ratchet-suppressor-mount-762mm-ar-10-lr-308-5-8-24-thread-steel-matte The brake acts as the first two baffles of the suppressor. This increases the lifespan of the can... it's also one hellofa muzzle device!
  24. What's Sig got in the works? Or is this in reference to their brace?
