  1. Yeah, but how cool would it be with 5 of the new M3 LR-25's?!?!
  2. Get the freebies thrown in. Sig mags (not promag) are pricey. Holsters and ammo always help too.
  3. I didn't think it'd last long
  4. I have both. I never tried to retrofit the key before. I always use the full carrier from Adams arms. In fact, I'm making my pistol with the piston system from Adams arms.
  5. Okay just confirmed... The only "milspec" parts are the same ones already used on the LR308. Everything 'new' is proprietary. The barrel nut is proprietary. Externally, it's dimensionally identical to the standard AR15 barrel nut. Internally, it has proprietary threads. The upper receiver IS the same height as the AR15. Rear of the magwell, the G2 is the same measurements as the AR15. Having looked at the new BCG design and reading about their new "stronger" charging handle, I'm thinking the CH is proprietary also. I have a 50% off coupon for anything Remington/DPMS, and I'm very tempted to grab one of these.
  6. SS is right. The one main factor they cannot change, is the length of the .308 cartridge. That forces a size difference at the magwell. I hope the charging handle isn't proprietary. That would be catastrophic to the gun, leaving the Badger Latch as the only remaining option. I really only care about the barrel nut. If they got an AR15 barrel nut to fit, and the upper matches the AR15 height, the handguard options just skyrocketed.
  7. The 96" was the most impressive. It was bought by the previous regime, who allowed a stage 2 kit. It was thunderous loud. The only issue was no ABS. I didn't care at the time because I didn't know good they were. Now that I've had them for so long I couldn't go without. When the 103" came out, the budget was low and the new chief wasn't a fan of a loud bike riding around town. We missed out on a lot of the bells and whistles. It eventually got the V&H pipes, but it was too little too late.
  8. The Harleys were the most comfortable, but only for the first 8 hours. I rode for 12 hour shifts. After 8 hours on the Harley, riding aggressively, you feel every bump in the road. Since you sit like a chair position, all the impacts go straight into your spine. The BMW was a lot more agile and a hair faster... still slow as fukc. Although it was pretty easy to get the front tire up when I wanted. Because your feet are under you in a "riding" position it's a lot easier to absorb impacts with your legs. That let me ride longer. Still, even the 1150 was sloooooooooooow... The other tough part was that our BMWs were maintenance hogs, always in the shop. At $125 per hour of labor, it was killing our budget. It cost $1200 to $2,000 for a clutch replacement, and I needed one of those almost every year. The ST1300 is borderline suicidal fast. We had the option for the Kawasaki Concourse 1400, but agreed one of us would probably die. This Honda will not die either. I've been run over, I burnt the clutch in competition, and it'll still hit 135 on an empty Sunday morning freeway like it's a cruising speed. The Concourse is also a lot fatter in the rear, making lane splitting pretty hazardous. The Honda isn't as impressive looking as the Concourse or even the new BMW 1200, but performance and maintenance win out. A complete Honda clutch job is only $400. The only negative I find on the Honda is that because it's so easy to ride, I forget to stop and drink water. Often going 6-8 hours with nothing to drink. I got dehydrated so often that I had to schedule Starbucks meetings with my partner so that I'm forced to stop riding.
  9. It's the story of my life...
  10. Gawdamn! I counted around $2500 in extras on that rifle.
  11. It obviously can't be 100% milspec... I just never saw a list of what is and what isn't.
  12. Could it be possible that the new G2 models are using AR15 charging handles?
  13. Blue, a LAW Folding Stock Adapter makes a WOOOORLD of difference. Instantly takes 10" off your rifle.
  14. Here's one, for you guys who think bean bags work. This suspect is shot with four bean bags... same police dept! http://www.policeone.com/body-cam/articles/6982642-Video-NM-police-fatally-shoot-man-armed-with-hammer/
  15. +1 for the MBUS. I've owned the cheapest and the most expensive. I'll likely only buy MBUS from now on.
  16. I'm more interested in the Tango Down version. https://tangodown.com/shop/tangodown-front-sight-flashlight-adapter/ Unlimited light options vs 1 option
  17. Shepp... remember to just snug the screws. I fuckered mine all up by over tightening it. The alloy is so soft that it damned near ripped itself apart as I kept turning.
  18. My wife thinks it's cute when others try to keep up with her 6.7l turbo diesel. That big ol truck ain't the fastest thing on the road, but I'll be damned if she ain't the first one off the line holding a lead for at least 200 yards or more... depending on whether or not they get the balls to chase her down. Goofing off like that eats up those 37" Toyo's too much to do it often.
  19. I have a couple throw down knives. Most of them Cold Steel or Spyderco. I buy my wife Kershaw because she likes assisted blades. But the Emerson series are the only knives I'll carry. I owned the Commander in the past and someone stole it. It literally took me 12 years to replace it... thanks to my beautiful wife.
  20. Been a motor since 06. So far I've been on a Harley 96" and 103", the BMW 1100 and 1150, and now I'm on a Honda ST1300. Can you believe I get paid for this shiit?
  21. WTG on figuring out what was wrong! That had to be unnerving. I hate spending a shiit ton of $$$ to find out something doesn't work. Especially when it could be one tiny part. Glad you were able to fix it on the cheaper side.
  22. My envy teeters on the level of hatred... I feel like the fat girl at a birthday party full of cheerleaders. Every one gets to enjoy the cake but me.
  23. The pictures above show ALL the markings available. Bushmaster states on their website that any of their barrels stamped "1/11" are the newer 6.8 SPC II chamber.
  24. My buddy just bought this same truck. He explained the "4x4", but for the life of me I can't remember.... Where's Tom?
  25. I had to "fit" mine. A little bit of dremmel love made everything perfect.
