  1. The AR57 has funky mags. When they aren't fully loaded, the rounds can jump inside and turn... so I hear... I may just be spreading bad rumors?? ?? ?? I'd be all over a 5.7 upper if it used standard mags, or even a special mag block to use the FN FiveSeven mags.
  2. You guys are phenomenal. My wife laughs at all the comments. She thinks you guys are hysterical.
  3. We'll hit 1000 by the end of the weekend.
  4. Preppers think they need 60k rounds of .22lr to survive the apocalypse
  5. A good weapon light is a must for a combat piece. I put a Surefire X300 Ultra (500 lumens) on my duty pistol. I can burn the retina out of a blind man with mine. I swear people get a free tan whenever I point it.
  6. I bad mouth people when they have boxes listed at over $50. I always ask, "isn't this the stuff that was $25-$30 before all the craziness?" When they say yes, and try to justify the price hike, I always state, "and you wonder why the large stores like Cabelas, Bass Pro and Sportsmans Warehouse keep knocking out small businesses?"
  7. There's even one company that makes a 12" mid length. They swear it's "the cats meow".
  8. I think I have the dvd and the blue ray sets. I loved that series. When it comes on the tv, I always get entranced watching it for hours.
  9. If we get to 1,000 it will be because of all you guys!
  10. You know what they say... about great minds and all I guess damaged minds think akin too.
  11. Depending on your state laws, you could just make a magazine block... Assuming you don't need a permanent job. Cut a piece of wood to match the length you want to block. You might have to fit and cut several times to get the desired length. You can stuff the wood between the spring and floor plate. Then you'll only be able to load a limited amount of cartridges. Bird hunters have been doing that to their shotgun tubes in CA for YEARS.
  12. I'm so fickle with my plans. I think I'm going to rebuild my 300Blk with a short barrel and the VLTOR, and then do a slightly longer version (11"-12") in 7.62x39 for plinking. I should be ordering parts by the end of this month.
  13. The Arms lite gas port is about 1/4" longer than the LR308 If you use an Armalite tube in a LR308, you could damage the gas key or gas tube. If you use a LR308 tube in an Armalite, you may have cycling issues.
  14. Looks like HSP gave the finger to CO as well, and are opening shop in Scottsdale. Complete with walk in store! Oh Tom.... Field trip? http://soldiersystems.net/2014/01/06/haley-strategic-partners-announces-move-from-colorado-to-arizona/
  15. The ACE ARFX skeleton stock fits the A1 tube, without the use of a spacer. I believe the RRA A2 Operator does as well. Both are excellent stocks.
  16. So far I've owned the Magpul CTR, ASC, ASC-L, and PRS, the ACE ARFX and ARFX-E, the SOPMOD, the RRA A2 Operator, and everything Colt. I can't choose just one over the others. Each has an advantage over the others. Some are lighter. Some have storage. Some are sturdier. It all depends on the mission I guess.
  17. Just in case you don't have his page bookmarked yet... http://www.thecutekid.com/photo-contests/20131214/my-baby-photo-1387045776
  18. You can never run out of coyotes... 4 legged and 2 legged.
  19. I'd contact MidwestPX and see if they'll modify an existing magazine.
  20. Midwestpx.com sells a "stubby" pmag. I bought the 5 rounder for hunting. It works really well.
  21. Some of those guys are the same ones you'll find here.
  22. Thanks MG!

  24. Those that have found this site, recognize the difference immediately. Thank you for providing a venue for all of us to share and explore our favorite past time.... If not that, then thank you for helping me spend thousands of dollars on lots of toys.
