  1. Magpul MIAD on my .308, and MOE+ on everything else.
  2. I have a feeling the Boberg 45 might find its way into my hands eventually.
  3. VTac padded sling or the Blue Force Gear padded sling... you won't be upset.
  4. I still say the best bang vs buck is that dang Recon. What a great design for an off the shelf rig!
  5. Switch blocks are for suppressors. You only have 3 settings; normal firing, suppressed firing, and single fire. It's not really that good at removing felt recoil.
  6. Buy once... Cry once... :'(
  7. The main issue with the adj GB is that once you pick a load that works with the system, you may be stuck with that load. Not all rounds are created equal. If you tune it shooting Remington Premier, and then switch over to some NATO surplus stuff to plink, you may find yourself adjusting back and forth trying to get back to normal function. Also, as your rifle gets dirty and settles in, you'll have to adjust again for the micro allowances needed for cycling. If you have to take you're rifle apart every time you want to do this, the extra cost of the buffer system begins to look VERY appealing.
  8. I posted the slickguns link for you. Looks like there was a sale on them recently. The 7.5x55 looks like a decent enough round. Basically it's the Swiss version of the .308... I'm surprised it didn't take better, especially against the 7.62x54???
  9. I had a feeling.. It was reminiscent of the the Carcano series rifles. After I ruled out all the Italian rifles, I started searching in a radius around. I peeked at the Mosin family, but dropped that pretty quick. That bolt was pretty unique, and so I just stuck to the bolt. Those Swiss guys can assemble a pretty slick rig.

  11. I'm keeping this flowing http://www.thecutekid.com/photo-contests/20131214/my-baby-photo-1387045776
  12. Ron @ rmwxtreme.com makes a DI pistol upper. I believe he has 9mm, 45cal, 7.62x25, 10mm, 40cal and 357sig. Not sure which ones are DI and which are blowback. I know the 45 and 10mm are DI, just vague on the rest.
  13. I was waiting till I could see these pictures on a big screen. I couldn't get a full grasp of the details from my phone. Get out your wallet.... I think you have an AR15 buffer and buffer spring in there. You can grab a standard set for about $50. Most of us have installed the tungsten buffer from heavybuffers.com along with the Armalite buffer spring. While you're in there, it wouldn't hurt to replace that damaged buffer tube. Don't bother trying to "repair" the old one. They actually are supposed to be a certain length and shape. That should only cost you about $30 to replace... of course there are options that you could choose that'll cost a lot more.
  14. Yikes! That is as bad as I feared. Welcome to the site. Im the one that caught your email to our FB page this morning. Your machine looks like it could use some TLC... You have a little bit of work ahead of you. I'm going to let some of the other guys take this one. It's too much to write from my phone.
  15. This is a mint condition stock, and comes with everything needed for install on an AR-15 rifle Magpul PRS - OLIVE DRAB GREEN - 5.56 version Rifle length receiver extension (buffer tube) - Unk make Rifle Length Buffer Spring (5.56) - Unk make Rifle Length Buffer (5.56) - Unk make I'm getting rid of this for a friend. He bought it, took it out of the box, threw the box away and THEN decided it was too heavy for him... Ugh! I told him I'd do my best to help him out. I'll ship it out (free shipping) if anyone is interested in owning it. $200 THIS IS NOT FOR THE 308AR TYPE RIFLES.
  16. I can't help myself here.... I hope this gets stuck in all of your heads. What in the butt??
  17. I have this kit in my little shooting bag. It's a MUST for every range trip. It takes care of 90% of all the cleaning I need.
  18. My Woody is almost finished... I started a 20" national match build MONTHS ago. I have been waiting for the high grade walnut to get back in stock.
  19. Scrap that idea... make it a woody!!! Be the first one here with a Woody .308!!! Lucid makes some beautiful walnut... and Boyds makes some affordable laminate stuff. Yours would be a SASS-y Woody
  20. Check out the CARBB too. It's very similar to the Raddlock
  21. RECCE... Not SASS... Put a LAW folding stock on that SOB. Short range, higher mobility, precision system. Build her with "lighter" and "more compact" in mind.
  22. Bring back lots of good stories. We'll be here waiting for you to share them.
  23. If you're looking for cheap things that don't matter... or batteries... eBay is the place. I have to admit. I do keep my eyes open for rare auctions. Usually it's when someone mislabels their item. I recently scored a Bushnell AR 2-7x for $60. I used to buy airsoft parts off ebay. China always has the coolest shyte!
  24. As for the 300Blk... Some think the 300Blk is a great suppressed round. I ask what was wrong with the .45 ACP? If you look at the ballistics (220 grain .30 cal vs a 230 grain .45 cal) they are pretty dawned close. I like the lighter, super sonic stuff. It's very similar to a 30-30, with a bit better performance down range. Since suppressors are a no-no in CA, I use the 110-125 grain stuff. It's literally the American AK round. For a sub 300 yard round, I'd take it any day over the 5.56 pellet. I still plan on building another 7.62x39 upper for all around plinking and wasting ammo. It's almost to the point that it's cheaper to shoot than .22lr... it's definitely easier to find! All I'm looking for to complete my next build is: • 7.62x39 NiB coated bolt • 7.5" - 9" Melonite treated barrel I'm going to build it around a pistol length Adams Arms piston system. I hate cleaning up after Soviet ammo, so I'm building a SUPER clean shooter.
