  1. Forged? For some reason i was expecting billet??? I honestly thought BAD Inc was going to be in cahoots with GPI (and Ranger Proof) when they release their new Ambi billet lower. Especially with how much they talked up the BAD levers on their rifles and the LVOA rifles. I'm still excited none the less.
  2. Everyone knows that FDE makes your rifle shoot straighter!!
  3. I used to be a huge fan of the ACOG/Browe scopes. I felt the 4x wasn't enough for long range and the 6x was too much for close range. I just could get myself to a fixed power battle sight. I think, if I find the spare $$$, the Vortex HD Razor GenII 1-6x24 will be my next scope.
  4. For the record on Rainier... I ordered a 14.5" stainless barrel from the years ago. They accidently sent me a black one. I confirmed my order and then called them up. They sent me a return shipping label in my email that afternoon, and two days later I had a second barrel at my door. Super fast and reliable. I continue to shop with them often!
  5. They can lose your personal letters and parcels no problem, but they have no issues making sure you get all that useless junk mail every day.
  6. In glad that worked out for you. Sorry my friend took so long to make up his mind.
  7. Back up sights are soooo over rated. What are people backing up? I can understand if you were in a combat zone. Or maybe you had a multi-optic competition that transitioned between irons and optics. Why does a bench rifle need back up sights? Or even a hunting rifle for that matter? If my optics went out at either of those functions, i'd pack it up and change rifles. If you say, "I just want them!" That's plenty of reason to own them. I like the 'look' too. I just don't want people to think they NEED the back up sights. Want alone is justification in this group! Lol I also believe if they are "back ups", then why waste a lot money on something you'll never use? Magpul MBUS sights are sturdy, reliable, accurate, and best of all relatively inexpensive. I personally love the MBUS sights. I like them more than my Troy Di-Optic tritium sights. I get MBUS sights for about $75 a set, and my Troy sights cost over $200... WTF was I thinking? They do the exact same thing. In fact, the only reason why I haven't replaced the Troy sights with MBUS sights is because I haven't put a scope on yet. Once I pick an optic for it, I'll swap out for Magpul's and do something else with the Troys.
  8. Glad it all worked out for ya
  9. It's a 308AR.... Some fitting may be required. That's the nature of the beast. Generally I have seen that only some light sanding was required to get that "perfect" fit. A dremmel makes quick work of the most tedious jobs. By far my most favorite investment.
  10. They make damn good barrels, but hard to say "best".
  11. If that's the same picture I saw before. That is the leg of a cop. I think the story was about a SWAT team. The guy with the wound took a round from his partner at near point blank, from behind. The story goes on about muzzle awareness and trigger finger placement. I don't think I really read the article. I more just skimmed it and agreed that the results sucked.
  12. I went on Brownells to buy some FireClean for my rifles... Came out of there with a new bore guide, a Phase 5 extended .308 bolt release, and a poop ton more McCormick 1911 mags. What was supposed to be a quick $15 order, turned into a MUCH more expensive ordeal.... Grrrr
  13. I wouldn't trust any of that ammo. I'll do you a huge favor. Package up all those proj's and whatever you've loaded so far. You can ship then directly to me. I'll dispose of them all properly. I'd hate to see you just get disappointed
  14. Wasn't someone here selling a long barrel recently?
  15. I wouldn't be offended if you wanted to send me a GSR instead of the 10/22.... I'm just sayin. <lmao>
  16. By "pesky parts" do you mean her bikini? I could do without those pesky parts too.
  17. Yay! Matt is sending us all 10/22's for Christmas!!
  18. I missed it :( Oh well, the price was too good to keep
  19. You should still be able to manually engage the bolt catch without a magazine. Not having the spring, or having a weak spring, shouldn't prevent the catch from engaging. In fact a spring issue usually causes the catch to prematurely engage. The LR308 uses a standard AR15 bolt catch. Try using an Armalite AR10 bolt catch. The contact area has a little more "meat" to it. The JP LMOS may be a little small to grab the undersized catch. I would suggest a new magazine, as this is happening on multiple rifles... But seeing that the parts are the same, and the OP says that he has issues even manually manipulating the catch, I'll stick with the suggestion for a AR10 catch. This may also be a prime opportunity to upgrade to a Phase 5 Battery Assist lever. The 308 model comes with a bolt catch attached to the lever.
  20. Nope. I think the novelty of the idea wears off when people realize they'll be adding nearly 2 more lbs to their already atrociously heavy rifles. Since most 308AR owners barely leave the bench, the demand for a redimag was never great.
  21. I just aim my ejection at the guy next to me. Then I catch the shells on the rebound.
  22. I forgot about that part. You'll get about 20-30 mins of battery use, depending on your battery. Unfortunately many of the new smart phones charge through the same port the hardwire from. That is why the wireless hotspot is better than a hardwire.
  23. Hopefully it didn't start its delivery stateside, otherwise you win. I hate ordering from HK. Luckily I haven't been screwed on anything expensive (do they even sell anything expensive? I mean, isnt that the reason why people shop from HK?). Im always too worried about quality control and customer care.
  24. The days of protecting life and PROPERTY are gone. Especially with the insurance policies people have now. Not worth it to risk lives to protect replaceable objects. The turd at the Roseville Galleria lit a video game store on fire... Big deal. He was only a danger to himself. No loss there. Everyone else ran away before the cops got there. The turd was nuttier than squirrel sh!t. The part that did the most damage was the FD refused to go in because the turd said he left a bomb in his backpack. He's a crazy turd!!! Of course he said there's a bomb in his bag.... No bomb... $1.3mil in damage
  25. A rat trap attached to a money clip would get their attention. 98Z5V has a better device for a more "explosive" results.
