  1. It will work... but it is only a slight upgrade from a mil-spec trigger. You'd be better off with a complete trigger assembly. This build was for a friend, so I built it to his preferences... Here is the installed Mega Tactical Trigger in a billet, ambi, NiB coated Mega AR15. I used the trigger with a WMD NiB hammer and a WMD NiB disconnect. (It also has a WMD NiB Bolt and WMD NiB Cam, in a Melonite treated AA Piston Conversion) The total price for this trigger assembly was about $120.... He could have had a MUCH better trigger for about $50 more. The trigger breaks smooth enough, but it still has quite a bit of creep and is much heavier than I prefer. I do like the feel of the more robust trigger, and that it is a single stage. The complete NiB coated system is EXTREMELY smooth.
  2. I can't wait to win so I can sell this stuff on GB!!!
  3. Based on the time stamp of the OP, I think someone was experimenting with one of the "medicinal" uses for hemp <laughs> <lmao>
  4. Lone Wolf Dist makes a 9mm lower that uses Glock mags
  5. I have a spare Kidd 10/22 bull barrel I never used. How do you like yours? I ended up with a Magnum Research graphite barrel instead.
  6. Who remembers BB gun wars? :cookoo: I remember when we had a BB gun war inside my house. We didn't want to blow out a window, so we used wooden match sticks. I shot my best friend in the neck, imbedding the match into his skin.
  7. Drunk off my ass in the NV desert in the middle of the night. I thought it was a good idea to pour 110 octane racing fuel on the camp fire. My girlfriend (now my wife) found me rolling in the sand, with the gas can in hand, to put out the flames.
  8. More fuel to separate the state! Liberate NorCal!!
  9. "308 BCG's in nickel boran and 416 stainless" All those terms wouldn't be used for describing a receiver. I'm sure SI-D will produce their BCG's again... Eventually. SI-D and NEMO Arms are having some personnel issues right now. I don't want to dive into others troubles... But I'm sure there was an awkward holiday season last year in northern MT. Now that Shot is done we just have to endure the current climate. SI-D and NEMO both have government aerospace contracts that makes up a HUGE percentage of their work.
  10. She was the designated driver! She was more than a little jealous. I have to say, she was dang cute sitting at the lodge.
  11. Placerville is about 30 mins east of me. The wife makes me taker her to Apple Hill several times a year. We just drove through there last week on our way to do some snow boarding. We've looked at moving towards El Dorado Co in the past. It's definitely Gods country out there!
  12. Chris Baldwin is a stand up guy. He helped me considerably through my build.
  13. When the USSR was a world power, members of the Communist Party were also exempt from oppressive laws. Look how things turned out for them...
  14. I believe the DPMS bolt catch is the same one from the ar-15 LPK. I don't know if an Armalite catch is compatible. SI-Defense used to make an oversized stainless steel version. I have one on mine.
  15. I talked to the guy at the shop. He insisted that it was 168gr match moly coated BTHP... I still have yet to shoot the stuff. And yes, it was loaded in some recently shot Lake City brass.

  17. I would like to point out that we have almost hit the 48 hour mark.... :wwop: :pics-stfu:
  18. I hope you've been taking your wallet to regular yoga classes, this group of guys is really going to help you work that SOB out! My credit card got stretch marks after my first few months here :o We'll answer as much as we can. Then we'll rib ya about the not showing off your build fast enough. Welcome to our den of addicts and enablers! <thumbsup>
  19. Here is a bolt that is VERY similar to the SI-Defense bolt... (although, not sure if they will ever be produced in mass) http://308ar.com/forum/308ar-parts/new-308-bolt-%28lr-308sr-25-spec%29/
  20. Will a LR-308/SR-25 spec bolt normally fit in a LAR-8?
  21. One of our creative members took advantage of his resources and created a .308 bolt I recently loaned Tucson308 a spare bolt I had, for him to replicate. Without name dropping, I'll just say that my sample bolt was made and designed by a very high quality and reputable company. I believe the original cost me $200-$250 when it first came out, over a year ago. Here is the new product, made by our own Tucson308. I can't wait to see the finished product, and hear how it works out!!
  22. Nylon toothbrush <thumbsup> The old mil brushes that came with the M16 work great. I usually buy them at gun shows for $1 or $2 each.
  23. I hope Rudolph shits in your stock next year. Why not just upgrade to a Mfg FFL and completely take all my dreams. :'(
  24. Lets just add to the reasons why I hate Pappy1600... Congrats.... I hope your stamp gives you a paper cut!
  25. For a price, I'll bet we could talk Magwa into it ;D
