  1. It's actually a Chip McCormick (CMC). It's a single stage 4# trigger.
  2. I prefer Meprolight and Trijicon. They just do it right! <thumbsup>
  3. Sorry to all about the low quality pics. It's late and time for bed. This is the FINAL product.... for now <laughs> Hoping to get some shots off this weekend!!!
  4. This is how I look at it; Hunting: Lightweight and portable. Most likely to only shoot 1-3 rounds in a row (depending on the shooter's ability <laughs> ). Still needs to be pretty tits on for accuracy. Not a lot of rail space needed. Simple optics due the job for most situations. No additional accessories required. Tactical: Weight is only an issue when it hinders mobility. Needs to be able to fire lots of rounds with absolutely zero acceptance for failure. Rail space or a modular system is almost a "must" for this situation. Lights, lasers, gadgets, and gizmos... whatever fits your situation. Target: Weight is your friend! This beast is only moving from the trunk of your car to the bench rest. Accuracy is the ultimate goal, and everything else can be sacrificed for more accuracy.
  5. As I was fixing Edgecrusher's avatar evil, EVIL thoughts went through my mind as to what I could do.... You're welcome edge! >:D
  6. I have to admit, I was pretty tempted last night when they were at 50... :o
  7. I'm half tempted to try a 10mm/.40 S&W again. The insane amount of free .40 ammo I get would make it full worth it.
  8. Edge is only logged in that long because he doesn't know how to turn off his computer. He's only slightly evolved from wondering how they fit all them tiny people in the "picture box".
  9. So I was going through my box-o-tools last night looking for a pin punch. My desk is getting pretty messy, so rather than search for the exact pin, I grab this little baggy which I thought had an extra pin punch set. Low and behold, it's a roll pin holder set!?!?!?! I love when I find new things that I already own... Hard to imagine that I've had these all along, cussing like a truck driver, killing myself on installing these damned roll pins :cookoo:
  10. I'd start with a Mega MA-Ten NiB billet set. Then find the first 16" midlength barrel I could grab and top it with a FSC30 (or a BattleComp BABC if that's in your budget). Add some Magpul furniture (MOE+ and UBR) for comfort. Cram a Geissele trigger in there with a NiB coated BCG and a BCM/VLTOR charging handle. Can't go wrong with a Troy Ind free float tube (although I'm a big fan of APEX Machine too). Don't forget to add a Battle Arms Development Ambi Selector Switch (BADASS), and one of Slash's heavy buffers! Lastly, top that off with a EXPS2-0 and a flip to side x3 mag.
  11. Was the other fear Tom?
  12. PRI stuff is pretty damned sexy. I think i have a feeling that i know which direction your going on this build. She'll be a looker when she's done.
  13. Having Tom and I post on the same thread is like having two fat chics at a night club. It doesn't matter what song is playing, we are going to take over the dance floor.
  14. Did we really thread jack my own thread? Yes,
  15. Here's the new stuff. We'll see how it works.
  16. I have the 115gr FMJ stuff. I got it for $11.99 a box.
  17. LE survival tip: Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see. Trust no one. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet. 99.9% of the time you will not be an active participant in a situation. Your ability to be a good witness is based on your conscious recognition that you are in a position of safety/advantage. It's very easy for our minds to swarm with ideas and plans for the "what if's". As those thoughts build up, they block out things like simple observations. I can't tell you how often I get a call about a "man". Rene, you did better than most. Your recognition on the need for improvement is on all of us. I'm not exempt either. Thanks for this post.
  18. I've been at a family reunion all day. I couldn't even log in to defend myself. I'm only a bad influence because Tom instigates everything. <laughs>
  19. You definitely didn't cut any corners buying that rifle. I like your style! Welcome to our site. You're going to fit in well here.
  20. If memory serves me right, POF uses a DPMS/KAC magazine. DPMS makes a steel short mag that does what you're asking for. www.MidWestPX.com sells custom mags at any capacity you wish. They are made from Magpul LR20 mags. There is also a thread on here somewhere, on how to make your own.
  21. I do recant my previous statement. In my defense I misread fr3d's statement: "You guys need to stop spending my money" Instead my illiterate ass read it as: "You guys need to stop spending money" I apologize to fr3d, the board and all the little pigmys.
  22. I've been shooting a P226 .40 for ten years now. I think I'm ready for an upgrade.
  23. Ok guys. She is 99.99% done. Just a few tweaks and touch ups and she'll be shooting. Got the LOKI barrel headspaced with a WMD NiB Full Auto BCG. Had a PRI railed gas block modified to fit and clear over the BattleComp BABC. There is a YHM clamp on lo-pro GB hidden in there, with a melonite carbine gas tube. Thanks again to SurvivalShop, for helping me out. Here is my 14.5" 'Dissipator' 300Blk!!! I haven't tightened everything down yet. So you don't need to point out my BABC is on sideways.
  24. I just pulled the trigger on the sale. I just bought the Sig P220 Carry Elite Stainless. It cut heavily into my AR funds... but I needed something different for work. I'll keep you all informed
