  1. Yup. She was a mechanic. Her "Instructor" status was questionable as well.
  2. The retarded "Bullet Button" is now dead, which has forced evolution to the new Gen 2, v2.0 system.... whateverthefuck that's going to be. Listed below are options other than registering (which is a horrible idea) or trying to build a ridiculous "featureless" design. Instead these here are the new "magazine lock" options. Currently available options are: 1. Prince "Patriot Button" - which is a semi permanent placement of a lock requiring the opening of the receiver. They also want $60 for the new part.... screw them in the neck! 2. AR Mag Lock - no one but me sees that this design doesn't meet the new definition of the mag lock... jeezus! I only read and interpret CA law everyfuckinday!!!! These jack-holes also want $50 3. Battle Arms Development - HolyFuckinShit these guys are at it again!! No prices quoted, but likely the simplest and easiest design yet... also the easiest to replicate and DIY. Looking forward to learning more.... I think a call to Roger is in order. He's not with them anymore, but they're all still buddies from what I remember. 4. Bastiani Arms Mod1 Mag Release - if anyone can get me anything about this video... other than the broken news video that won't play... I'd love to learn more. Not sure how it works yet, but they're promising a $10 price point. 5. ??? Stay tuned for more... I'll update this as I get more info. The retarded law makers have forced evolution and the *new* magazine locks are faster to reload than the old versions.
  3. I got it from a reliable source that Kinessa was never part of any "anti-poaching" company and used her image to get gear for contractors that were overseas. In fact, the way I understood it, she's never even been to the places that she talks about. Supposedly the African governments caught a metric shiit ton of flak from their media about "American girls coming to Africa to shoot citizens" lololol she got called out by some REAL operators and she went dark. No one is using her image any more.
  4. any relationship to Loki Weapon System??
  5. Make sure it the *new* paint if you're picking cerakote. It's a lot more durable than the previous stuff and sprays on better.
  6. Whatever you call it... you can call me jealous.
  7. I hunt with a 16" .308 and have harvested everything from rabbits to bears with that round. I absolutely love when people tell me I NEED a longer barrel.
  8. I have an AR in .338LM. I can find cheaper ammo for about $2 per shot, but it's nothing in comparison to my Black Hills or Lapua match ammo. .300 Norma seems to be the hot new round for Mil applications. Expect to pay $4000 to $8000 for either one of those.
  9. It's a give and take. The rifle is a battle beast, not a snipers rifle.
  10. The handguard looks like it was for the original handguard cup/end. you need the top right one. It goes AROUND the front of the handguard. The one you have is designed for the newer handguard.

    HIPERFIRE

While at SHOT this year, I got to play with all the big triggers; 1. Geissele - A great two stage (arguably the best TWO STAGE) trigger on the market. I found this to be a definite plus for a high recoil rifle, such as .338LM to .50BMG. I especially like how light their match triggers can be dialed down. 2. CMC and Velocity - let face it. These are the best "bang for buck" triggers you can get for a standard rifle. For me, these are the lowest quality triggers I'd ever buy... and they are FAR from low quality. 3. Elftmann - not only are these triggers AMAZING the guys in their shop are real, down to earth, Joe American, good people. They have a FAR superior design to other "drop in module" trigger assemblies. Their trigger actually has a bearing around the pin to assist with the pull these triggers are so smooth and light, it's ridiculous... They also seem to have a trigger designed for nearly every style of shooter, from service/LE up to super match... Elftmann triggers are worth the extra cost over the CMC or Velocity triggers. I also really like their trigger shoe options. All of the curved triggers have tactile lines cut across the shoe, which I found to be very comfortable and quick for finger placement. 4. Hiperfire - these guys should be in a category of their own. Having now played with their triggers... all of them... I am really blown out of the water. The Eclipse trigger is only OK though. I like what they attempted with the NiB coated trigger, but I've been turned off of NiB lately as it has been seen flaking and chipping on lots of parts. While I was talking to their staff, and the CEO who designed the trigger, I was able to introduce them to a buddy of mine who is a Metalurgist and heat treater. My buddy and I were able to convince Hiperfire to send us some trigger parts to have him do a special new heat treatment. This new treatment could possibly eliminate the Eclipse, as it would be an unnecessary option, and greatly improve the rest of their triggers. As far as all their claim of heavier hammer strike... I believe their argument, but I'm not smart enough to explain why. We did tell them that if their claims are true, and they start using our new heat process to harden their hammer, they may have to upgrade firing pins next. Can't only upgrade half the equation and neglect the other. Eventually the weaker end has to give.
  12. Especially here in Cali. Even when you think you're sure, ready to bet your paycheck, they tell you, "but I identify as a ...." shit. I can say I dentify as an avocado or a gawdamn porn star, but neither one makes me green or gives me a 10" dork!! If you ain't it, then you don't get to claim it.
  13. How about some full auto play???
  14. I thought about that too, but in slo-mo there should be a visible bolt bounce. There appears to be plenty of time and room for the ejection. The casing just isn't clearing the receiver.
  15. I sold a gun once.... I've been mourning it's loss ever since. Honestly the worst mistake I ever made. It was my Sig P220 Elite Carry Stainless with the Sig custom shop trigger job. A guy offered me twice what I paid for it, and I couldn't pass it up.
  16. I can't help but think of the continuous cleaning that would be required for this modification. I am so used to treating my rifles as "equipment" or a "tool" I barely have enough care to go beyond a simple wipe down.
  17. You need to tear down your bolt and take a look at your ejection spring. It looks like your springs are toast. Luckily, they're a quick $1 fix. Oh.... and....
  18. I was close
  19. Half my rifles don't even have gas rings (pistons)
  20. I've seen this mod before, but never heard of it increasing accuracy. Don't really see how it has any effect on accuracy in the slightest. Sure as heck don't want to fish one out of a carrier after it bottoms out without a cam pin.
  21. Ps. I'd still call them if ordering just springs. There's a high likelihood that you'll end up with $5 springs and $7 shipping. Lol.
  22. So, did you order them? I'm interested to know how they run.
  23. I did near the same, but I heat up a small nail with a lighter, and burned through the nail. I actually waited two days to do it, and the blood was all old and black.
