  1. Remember you are still breaking in, and getting used to your rifle. I hope it all goes well! P.s. My best range day was on my fourth outing with my OBR, and haven't matched it since!
  2. Set it up, deprimed some 5.56 and .308, just cause I wanted to try both and set the dies.... I got some time on my hands and this will get silly soon.....
  3. I used duracoat on two separate occasions with no issues...?
  4. I've used duracoat, seen cerakote, and krylon. You got me
  5. I have one coming as well
  6. I like the new guy ;) I answered your question in the other post
  7. Same here, sounds like he's butthurt about being wrong. Blue is dead on, follow that and you'll be good to go
  8. I think what bothers us the most is the fact we've been trying to help and then we can sniff this out, almost throwing it in our face. We try to keep the integrity of this site above the other forums and we have to police it ourselves, so keep that I mind.
  9. Well quite frankly yes. And that is still hard to believe going back and reading your old posts. Sorry. To many questions you should've already known to be that good
  10. I'm sorry ed, it's just hard, although not impossible for someone who's as new to this type of shooting to go out and bang a winning lottery ticket like that, especially after looking at your 100 yard target, at 800 yards. Seems highly suspect. What you are claiming, if true, should be getting you more sponsors than a nascar team
  11. You know how it is, you want to run but have to walk first.... Mental games vs physical, progress is being made but man it's snail pace slow
  12. At 800 meters? 8 HUNDRED? That's insane, and quite honestly, almost unbelievable.
  13. Hey Wash, are you ok down there? Still dry?
  14. Really? I would piss myself if I could do that at 800 meters. You should be getting paid! Nice shooting
  15. Seems to like the 168's and 175's.... Glad it all worked out. What was the distance?
  16. That being said it may be just fine for civilian use.
  17. Don't change your brake angle, you would be setting yourself up for far more issues down the road. Dude, get off the mall ninja forum that you heard that on, that's the stupidest most uninformed answer to a problem. It sounds like you are pulling at the trigger, not squeezing to a crisp break, hence it canting on your follow through. Also, you may not be shouldering the rifle properly in addition to that, compounding your problem. Slow down. Breathe. Follow through. Practice. I don't know what your level of experience is, or how much you shoot, but unless it's 500 rounds weekly, you need to practice every time out. Proper technique isn't bestowed on anyone.
  18. You're welcome... If I could work some ot, I'd get something out of their next batch.
  19. http://taccom3g.com/site/a9e2c1e3d1f942138d726b7ec5a8d98f/default?url=http%3A%2F%2Ftaccom3g.com%2FAR15_22LR_COMPONENTS.html#2615 Some members here have used their products. There's also Nordic, CMMG( cringe), and at one time spike's
  20. Unless you can't have a pistol but can have a rifle. Plus I prefer a real stock any day of the week, and a foregrip
  21. And most people make that choice for personal protection. Hence the reason to conceal carry. Not to draw attention to themselves. From a different prospective, a conceal carry permit doesn't deputize anyone. For someone without training, when do you draw down? What level of force determines this for you? Where does the laws of your state cover you to? How do you know a person needs an armed citizen to help? I'm not saying you can't intervene in a life or death situation. I would, but it needs clear defined lines. A lady come running out of her house saying my husband is going to kill me, and he's chasing her with a knife as she runs at me, well shit, drop the knife motherfucker because now I can't tell if I'm the target. On the other hand, two kids are beating up one kid, I can deal with that without a weapon. But what about where the lines blur? This isn't as easy as black and white all the time. And this is my last comment about open carry: it seems to apply to the type who lives by the saying if you've got it flaunt it. The rest of us would just rather fly under the radar.
  22. Edit: In law and ethics, it is permitted to exercise your personal right of self-defense to cover others who are threatened. The consensus apparently is that those in need of defense who do not bear weapons should be ignored. This blanket statement is ridiculous.
  23. Oh no he didn't!
  24. No, but I could be wrong. What's not going well for you with the smk? What's the barrel twist again?
