  1. Gibbs, you've shown that you can shoot well enough to test something like this out. Have at it. Pick up something to tune a barrel, test that thing out, makes your groups, and let us know how it does or doesn't. For you, with the way you shoot, that's easy.
  2. So, a self-proclaimed Jihadist kills 4 Americans - here in this country! - and this isn't a news story... WHY NOT?!!? http://video.foxnews.com/v/3742901899001/self-proclaimed-jihadist-kills-four-americans/?intcmp=obnetwork#sp=show-clips
  3. That is CRAZY!!! 3 weeks!!!
  4. Those rifles are wonderful - congrats on picking it up. <thumbsup>
  5. Here's a guy on a gun range talking about the Police pistol that killed $hitbag In Ferguson... This guy is awesome - very sharp front site, that you can cut yourself on. Finger in the trigger guard during the demo. The list goes on... http://video.foxnews.com/v/3744543444001/a-closer-look-at-the-type-of-gun-used-to-kill-michael-brown/?intcmp=obnetwork#sp=show-clips
  6. That makes sense - lead is a natural lubricant anyway. By blowing it through, there's really only one place for that lead to end up - on your bolt tail. You could look at that part after a range event, and kinda determine how much lead is going through the system.
  7. ^^^ 300 WSM bolt gun - that was different this time that it has been before. Didn't kick the living $hit out of me this time! It was in the load - I think Mike said it was 62gr H414 in it. After firing 3, I reached down and picked up the brass immediately. Wasnt as hot as other range brass, at all. I knew he was up to something... <lmao>
  8. ^^^ <lmao>
  9. Man, I gotta tell you guys about Shib's 300BLK pistol - he posted this pic of it awhile back: THIS THING IS SWEET!!! I have never shot something with such light recoil - hell, there was no recoil! There was a very slight "push" against your shoulder. You can cheek that pistol buffer right up against your mellon, and the whole thing barely moves when you shoot it. Shib shoots it nose-to-charging handle. Unreal little beast, right there. That was a good build, brother! <thumbsup> :hail:
  10. Greg, you had to go back under the knife?
  11. I just put my comment in there after searching what he offered for a barrel donut. No kidding, if it really changed round impact in a dramatic way, he'd offer it for sale and use it on his flagship target rifle.
  12. The 16" Match barrel is on sale for $239, but they only have the Armalite pattern available right now.
  13. If such a device really had a great added value, and did what people say it does, then you'd find the product in David Tubb's online store. It's not there. Likewise, he would have it on the Tubb 2000 rifle. That kinda answers it for ya, right there.
  14. Good day out there today. Damn good. High 90's, had the canopy up, sitting in the shade, slight breeze. We did more talking and relaxing than we did shooting. Mike knocked the steel target over again, with one of his bigbore rifles. Shib shot the 300WSM. <lmao> That thing is just evil. No $hit, there I was, surrounded by... wait, wait. Wrong story there. I shot the M1 Carbine for the first time since I put the red dot on it. Hasn't been out since the upper handguard/rail was mounted to the barrel, and the red dot came out of the box and mounted on the rail. That damn thing was DEAD ON STEEL at 100 yards. I was shocked. No adjustment necessary. I was going to look for dust and see which way I needed to go, and the damn thing whacked steel. Cool story, really happened. <laughs>
  15. Shiiiiiiiiiibi... SHIIIIIIIIIIIIBI!! SHIB!!! <lmao> Coffee pot half drained, we're ready brother. Call when you're close...
  16. Probably - I'm ready for that guy. THAT guy. I'll clear his car when he shows up, just so he doesn't "feel unloved..." <lmao> DITCH THAT WEAPON BUTT-FIRST MOTHERFUCKER!!! ON YOUR KNEES, CROSS YOUR ANKLES, LACE YOUR FUCKING FINGERS TOGETHER AND GET THEM ON THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD RIGHT NOW!!! After that, he's mine... :love4: <laughs>
  17. Tuning barrel harmonics with balls and clamp-on weights has been around for a long time. If you're not making money shooting in competitions, then you're chasing ghosts. You CAN dial it in, but for what purpose? Military snipers aren't out there adjusting a ball on their barrel, and that's "defending lives." Where's Owl right now, to give the Sniper Feedback?
  18. Not in a gas-gun, brother. You'll clog that gasport in NO time... I'm just sayin'...
  19. I'm in, bring the neighbor. Is he crazy? Fuk, it don't matter, bring him anyway. If he's not crazy, he will be after this. Warn him head of time, man, I'm just sayin'... No call? U no answer text, GI, u numbah 10! <lmao> I'll be at the wal-mart - MIKE!!! Get here earlier, so we can haul ass to Wally's!!!
  20. I thought he wanted to meet YOU, but at HIS house? I'll call his crazy a$s... <lmao>
  21. I didn't get ahold of Shib yet - he wants to meet at 0730, then head my way?
  22. You almost lost an arm, man. Almost.
  23. I'm bettin' I won't sell a single one of the G trigs. I'll get one of these 24c things and run it on the shot timer. I'll run it in the same rifle that has the G S3G in it right now, and do a back-to-back with the vids. Did the first 17 rounds in 3.39 seconds in this one, then I boned it all up... <lmao> I'm really curious to see how this 24c trig does against the S3G...
  24. Thermolds, brother. Ran a bunch of those in the Army, no kidding, '95 time frame. We called them "Water Mags" then, and used them whenever we were gonna get wet. Drill the floorplate so they'd drain faster. They didn't hold up to sustained full auto fire very well, so we made sure not to use them for that. They worked for everything else, though. The M4A1 loved them, if you kept it on semi.
  25. If you decide to run .308 Win subsonics, I'd shoot them from the shortest barrel you have, to start out. You try to run them out of a 24" hunting rifle, and they might get stuck in the barrel. That low velocity might have enough drag from the rifling to stop it in a longer barrel. One at a time for testing, check for barrel obstruction each time, and hammer them out if they don't get out under their own power. Round #2 would SUCK, if you didn't check every one...
