Here's a shot timer pic - Greg's fastest run. <thumbsup> Running course of fire was: Start with rifle loaded, round chambered, weapon on safe. ** On the go (beep), run to first shooting position engage 2 targets with 2 shots each. Targets were about 15 and 17 yards. ** Move to second shooting station, engage two targets with 2 rounds each. Targets were about 17 and 20 yards. ** Move to third shooting station, engage four targets with 2 rounds each. Targets were (left to right) 20 yards, 15 yards, 15 yards, 17 yards. End of run on last round fired. Timer stops. Safe & clear the weapon, reload, run again. Here's what the shot timer displays for Greg's run: 16 rounds fired, movement to first shooting station and first round off at 2.38 seconds. Last round fired (#16) at a total elapsed time of 10.85 seconds. Time between 15th and 16th shot was 0.16 seconds. Now, that's 16 rounds fired, with movement three times, in 10.85 seconds. Greg was averaging 0.15 to 0.16 between rounds, on the same target, with some at 0.14 seconds. I was slower overall through the course, with an average of 0.13 to 0.14 seconds between shots on the same target. I hit 0.12 seconds several times, but not as an average. I shot the AR 45 through there once, and jerked a 0.10 between shots somehow. The rifle we almost exclusively shot through the course was the 14.5" billet gun, with the S3G trigger. That poop was some fun. <thumbsup> Tannerite rules! :hethan:

THAT ROCKS, GUYS!!! BADASS!!! <thumbsup> :ecs:

I have confirmation that Greg made it home. He has some stuff coming up Friday morning, for work, but I'm pretty sure that he'll be posting up some pics and video of this trip after that... <thumbsup> Which is WAY better than the other slackers that have pics and video of this trip, that I KNOW they took. Nothing, of the picture and video-snatchers, has been posted yet, and that's about piss-poor. :bitchslap: I can think of two people that were there, took pics, and they haven't posted poop yet. I won't name any names, but I bet Mikedaddy and Jon know who they were, also... <dontknow> <munch>

By the way, where you think that truck was originally stolen from? Fail: Story on that last one: http://ipezone.blogspot.com/2008/03/migration-showdown-at-us-mexican-border.html Come hang out with me for awhile. Bring ammo. <thumbsup>

poop happens all the time down here - look into the stuff that works, there are pics out there. They have ramp trucks that drive up, deploy the ramp, and drive poop over - routinely. Yes, routinely. Multiple loads, multiple trucks per "ramp truck." It happens all the time. Literally. Only the "unlucky" ones get caught, but so many others get away with it. They often leave the "ramp-truck" right there, and don't give a poop about it...

Doesn't mean a damn thing, when that pic was taken, two years prior, during an earthquake, whatever - they never left their post, not once, since they were formed. Even through this hurricane. They were right there, doing their job, during all kinds of issued "mandatory evacuations." They didn't leave their post.

I want pictures of the rabbit... <lmao> That furry little bastard couldn't have been more the a tiny red greasy stain, afterwards... <laughs> :happydrunks:

First off - max range that you'll engage an elk at... Need that info first, man. <thumbsup>

bullpoopy - I didn't have to "twist" that hard... <laughs> bullpoopy #2 - she didn't mind the "sponge-camo" on the FV-SR so bad. In fact, I think she kinda liked it... <thumbsup> <lmao> <dontknow>
-
^^^ That, right there. As soon as you don't pay attention, you'll do something "not quite smart," and end up on the bad end of reloading. I usually get so nervous that I just close my eyes and start jerking the trigger. That method winds up with bull's, and I wonder why I doubted myself in the first place... <thumbsup> <lmao> <laughs>

shawn, I'm going to be brutally honest with you. Straight up. Don't buy some chinese piece of poop to throw on your rifle. You will regret it. Quality parts are not cheap, but there are quality parts out there that vary in price range. Don't f u c k yourself on some cheap poop. If this hurt your feelings, then think about it. Really think about it. Grow thick armor, man. If you see me being "harsh" about something, it's for a reason, and the reason isn't "he's a dick!" Do it right the first time - and there are varying levels of "doing it right," in reference to cost. That thing you posting isn't worth one squirt of piss on a burning man. I don't think I can be any more clear than that. Stay away from it. Your choice...

Some carriers are marked with the "N," and some are unmarked. The bolt will be marked "MP," sideways.

100 lumens on high, brother.

It's a sickness - what is it with you people?... <lmao> <laughs>

That's awesome, AL!!! <lmao>

I'm concerned about the animals on your dash, brother... <dontknow> <lmao>

"The trip that won't stop..." <lmao> Greg, though trapped in NC, had another adventure today - I'll have to get him on here to talk about it. From the description, it was a damn great day for him, and the LaRue... Updated already in the Hurricane Sandy thread. <thumbsup>
-
Too late - I was already composing my response, so you get it all... <laughs> <lmao>

Holy poop, brother, take your Ritalin already! <lmao> I did post the lengths - just in the other thread. You know, the one that deals with two pistolas... <laughs> <thumbsup> Zero wobble or weak points - when locked, it's just as solid as if it was just a receiver extension in a lower. Good to go. Insert weight - hell, I don't know. It's steel, and heavy. On the chance that it'll work like the CWS, I tossed the H2 buffer into the 7.5", with this insert. Bet she locks back on one round, just like it did with the heavy CWS and H buffer. I have my fingers crossed. Folding nd unfolding - locks open, so to fold it, you just push the release, and it folds right over. It's held in the folded position by a polymer ball detent, which is adjustable via set screw on spring pressure. You can set how hard you want it held closed, but that also impacts how fast (easy) you can flip it to the locked position... It does a good job. It's pretty fast, in both directions. <thumbsup> For others reading this - you CANNOT fire an AR, with this adaptor, in the folded position. Think about it... You'd be in the ER having a BCG extracted from your shoulder. This device is for transportaion, concealment, and other types of space constraints.

Numbers. The 11.5" pistol is 21 3/4" folded, and 29 1/8" unfolded, in firing position. The 7.5" pistol is 19" folded, and 26 3/8" unfolded, in firing position. The 7.5" could be even shorter, without the KX3 on it, and a standard (shorter) f/h on there. It's one concussive bastard with anything but the KX3 on it, though.
-
Nice elk, and great job! <thumbsup>
-
Yup. Any. <thumbsup>
-
That one's the 11.5", brother - I started another thread just for the folding adaptor: http://308ar.com/forum/308ar-parts/law-tactical-folding-stock-adaptor/

I do like that beast. It's painful to shoot, due to concussion, with just an A2 on there. It's almost pleasant to shoot with the Pig, throwing everything straight forward (unless you'd get in front of it, somehow - I want it loud and blasty for that dude... <lmao>).
