  1. The Southwick Sand is what made or broke most riders - very few could kick ass in sand like that. Ricky was/is from Florida, and his backyard practice track has a metric poop-ton of sand, just for that reason. <thumbsup> For Dowdy, it's his home track - he always kicked ass there. ;D
  2. Here's a pretty clumsy video on the ghost loading procedure - it gets the point across. In reality, it's easy to do. If it wasn't for those damn Choate tubes, this would be the perfect shotgun... :o <laughs>
  3. He broke his back in 1995, but he wasn't paralyzed. He still raced after that. <thumbsup> Dowd is an animal. That guy always did well at Southwick (and he should have). On the circuit, there were very few guys that did well there. Ricky Carmichael was one of them. The sand... :o
  4. It's a "cocked" indicator - ready to fire or not... Correct, though. <thumbsup>
  5. Depends on the size of your paws, brother... <thumbsup>
  6. By the way, DNP, my professional race photographer friend-extrordinaire, photographed that twin turbo quad the day we debuted it at a race... He's got that picture somewhere... I'm just sayin'... <dontknow> <laughs> I think I had a long ponytail back then... ;D
  7. I read that post from Rob, and spit some ShockTop on my computer... <lmao> Some people's kids, I tell ya... :cookoo:
  8. telluwhat, you welcomed him twice... <laughs> <lmao> <thumbsup> Welcome aboard, marcus. ;D
  9. Same here, love mine. By the way, you can ghost-load a 9th shell on the lifter tray. <thumbsup>
  10. That's a Raptor, brother - well, it started as one, anyway. That titanium frame was sweet!
  11. Oh, you're not even funny, silly man... :o <lmao>
  12. Rob, bring your Cop Helmet... <laughs> <thumbsup>
  13. ^^^ Yep. I think they have instructions posted on their website...
  14. We sure can - no problems. That twin turbo is gone now - shop bike at a previous shop I worked at. We had it for about 1.5 years, raced the hell out of it, and turned it back over to the owner. That was $75,000 build... :o
  15. Here's how she ended up - it was a runner! <laughs>
  16. That's why I'm a little jealous... He pretty much kept these as secrets, and I wasn't really aware... <dontknow> It's like "keeping up with the Jones's," when you don't know what the hell they're doing... :o <lmao>
  17. I'll look into the ATC trigger in my 308, and see what's really going on there, with the BAD-ASS. I don't have any issues with trigger pull in mine, but putting it on Safe Requires a little extra pressure. The safety contacts the tail on the trigger, so it's a little more than "normal" pressure to get t into Safe. It flicks out of Safe just fine - pressure working the other way. I've just never felt like pulling everything apart to shave the tail on the trigger housing, to clear the safety. Roger has talked about these issues, with non-standard triggers. The BAD-ASS is not the issue, rest assured (not a comment aimed at ipsick - just a general comment, for the general population... <laughs> )
  18. That thing was way done, brother, a long time ago. It's carbed, so there's no fuel management, besides jetting and dyno tuning. Turbo'ing a carbed bike is a challenge, but once you know what's going on, it's pretty easy, and much better than a EFI turbo setup. There were electronics on it, for the shot delay (wet nitrous setup) and ignition timing, but that was minor. The wet-shot nitrous was triggered from a mechanical switch that let go when you hit WOT. You could be "mostly pinned" and be okay, but when you laid into it, you got some turbo-nitrous fury... :o 242 lbs, with a full 1 gal fuel cell. 150+ hp. Another finished pic on Wednesday. <thumbsup>
  19. That 8lb device is really gettin' you! <laughs> <lmao> I pulled mine out of the mailbox just a day or two ago... :o
  20. I's a twin turbo setup - I'll have to upload it again tomorrow... ;D EDIT - Should be showing up now.... <thumbsup>
  21. For those that may have missed it, I dabble in poop like this...
  22. The irony and satire in this is why I'm considering it - just the model number is badass - "NOBO12" - NO Barry Obama in 2012... <thumbsup> "Yes we can" was a drastic failure, and that's quite appropriate for getting that fukker out of office. I pray that happens. I'll vote my ass off for my one-vote count, and I wish the the "hope and change" of the rest of the country that has the balls to get rid of him, over the liberals. My 2 bullets... <thumbsup>
  23. From a shipped-from-the-factory rifle standpoint, I have to say this: DPMS rifles sometimes have rough chambers, which causes feeding or extraction issues. Requires gunsmithing to polish the chamber and make things right. Some come from the factory in great shape. Some do not. I've never seen stories of a complete Armalite rifle with feeding or extraction issues, from the factory. You will not find a better shooter than a complete LaRue rifle. Period. That extra cost is for a reason. Now, I built a DPMS rifle, so my comments might seem contradictory, in reference to DPMS. I used DPMS upper and lower receivers, filled with Fulton Armory guts and Fulton Armory barrel, so I didn't have the common DPMS problems - my rifle shoots like a champ. My 2 bullets... <thumbsup>

    Reloading CMMG 308

Much due to my personal affliction, I really need to see pics of this beast. I love Kimber bolt guns, and have one of the old Clackamas guns in .308 Win. Hook me up, man... :o <laughs>
  25. Hey Rob, that BLK would look REALLY good with a PA mini red dot on top of it. I'm just sayin'... <munch> <laughs> <lmao>
