  1. Wow, just read it. That is one hell of a human being.
  2. NICE, brother!!!
  3. Never heard of it, man.
  4. I'm down with 5 of these things now - it's a sickness. 2 are factory pistols. the 19X is real no-kidding bone-stock. As it came. The 43X is internally bone-stock, but I put some tritium night sights on it - it's my carry gun, my daily. I won't have a carry gun that doesn't have night sights. That 43X was converted over to the Shield Arms metal mag catch to run the Shield 15-rd steel mags for it. So, I can carry a spare 15-rd, 1 in the chamber, the 15 in the gun, and have 31 on me -in a small-motherfucker package. Nothing to dislike on that one... Carry guns for me have to run 500 rounds straight, ZERO anything, malfs, stoppages - NOTHING, before it's a carry. Then it needs tritium sights. That little fucker 43X pulled that off in 500 rounds exactly. Same with the 19X. Flawless. That was a baaad road, that 19X... I bought that bitch Blue Label, because GunPusher John had it. Glock Blue Label Program is fuckkin' SWEET! You get Glocks, cheaper than gun dealers get Glocks. Mil/LEO program for Blue Label qualification. Dirt cheap. That 19X led into 3 P80 lowers (thanks, @MikedaddyH, you jackass! )... built up on Gen 3 stuff. Two run, one still needs a slide assembly. It really is a sickness, once you see them run, run them, and shoot the fuk out of them. It just ain't right. It really is the AK of the pistol world. I'm thinking about buying another 19X, just to mod the fuk out of it...
  5. Nice, brother. I cannot WAIT to see it!!! You know already... I'm sure of this...
  6. That dude can SWIM HARD AF!!!...
  7. That's a good article - great info. But, the guy doesn't own one, he's just comparing numbers on paper in that article. He even states that at the bottom. However, that's why I built one, early on. I know the Grendel well, and that's why I built a Valk. Gotta live up to the hype... The Valk was cool, but not what they all said it was. The ARC definitely IS all that they say it is, and I'm damn glad I built one (two). My recommendation is the same, for everyone. If you have a Grendel, don't take it apart to make it an ARC. The difference is minor. If you don't have a Grendel, but were thinking about building one - build an ARC. Either way, you're not going to regret your decision - they're both badass, very badass... with a slight edge going to the ARC. It's like all the Hype on the 6.5 Creedmoor... - and .260 Rem. The Creed is great! But the .260 has a slight advantage. But neither are going to leave you disappointed.
  8. ^^ Yeah, they're fucked on that, right there all by itself. They approved that 3MR trigger back in 2013. I thought I posted that data, but guess I didn't. So, 8 years ago, that was fine - even from a trigger that rotates all the way over to the 3rd position. But, now it's not. I guess they "forgot that they approved that one..." That's another feather in the cap for Rare Breed, completely, in this fight.
  9. Well, he walked right into that one...
  10. First, the rotating pics are a huge pain in the ass. Might be cool to upload, but I don't have enough time to look at what you're using before it moves on to the next one... Take a pic of the brake, installed. Need to see the top and bottom. Get rid of the Race Gun BCG - put it in something else, or sell it while parts are bringing top dollar. Think "Gun Broker" and those type sites. Use a standard BCG, that's full weight. Should be around 18 oz. Race Gun parts belong in Race Guns, where you're earning sponsorship money from winning competitions, whilst kicking everyone's ass and coming in Top 3 all the time... Now, for the next one... This, right here. I'm using an A2 stock on the Mk12 Mod 1. I'm using that gun for the matches recently. After firing from that "Wobble Platform" last month (The Sex Swing!), I took the A2 standard flash hider off, and put on the VG6 Gamma 2-port brake, and the CAGE device. It shoots better now, and I swing less on the swing @JBMatt and DirtBike Tommy built. That was good. More stable on the platform, and good enough to crank off 5 at the 450 with all hits, damn near as fast as I could get them going. However... For those matches, and since I have an A2, I'm adding one of these things, just for the matches... https://www.whiteoakarmament.com/buttstock-weight.html Only reason for it - reduce recoil, through weight. This is big on the Service RIfles for Camp Perry - you'd be behind, if you didn't have one, before you ever pulled the trigger. Here's the Brownells description for the over-expensive one that they sell: "Balances The Rifle For Consistent Accuracy Pre-formed lead ingot increases the rear weight; balances out muzzle-heavy, match AR-15's for consistent, shot-to-shot accuracy. Denser than loose, lead shot; conveniently drops into the A-2 buttstock and is retained by the trap door. Can be cut, drilled or trimmed to achieve required balance." So that's the why for it. Now, to the OP - you don't need all that fancy shiit, just to shoot 1k yards. The caliber is already FULLY capable, through an average AR. .308 Win will do 1k with ease, through a decent gun. 6.5C can do that very easily with 140gr projectiles. That should go around 1400 yards before going transonic. You oughta be around 8.5~9.0 mils of elevation for 1k yards, and that load. So, muzzle brake installation, then standard-weight BCG. Then see where you are. If it's really jumping with that brake on there (that's a great brake), then make sure it's not upside down like @BigNate said. Also, make sure your gas tube ends directly in the center of the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver. Double-check that.
  11. Sure as hell, price went up. I should have know it when the MBT-2S trigger went up. I'll call them tomorrow and find out what the deal is, because they owe me another LT-158 from an outstanding order. I'll interrogate, and report back. I put that same mount on the 12.5" 6 ARC - because I'm still waiting on that LT-158. I like the Athlon mount, and probably won't be taking it off that gun.
  12. never, EVER, thought I'd ever state this, in the past. I owe my homage to @StainTrain... He tried to school me, but I never listened... Then... This might be the perfect pistol, striker fired pistol. I know, the 1911 is the perfect hammer-fired pistol. Oh, do I know that well. I'm deeeep into Kimber for that platform. There are 34 parts in a Glock. I've come to know this over time (quite painfully). This is the AK-47 of the pistol world. It just can't even get more simple, for what it has to do, in a striker-fired pistol. There's nothing unnecessary, nothing bling, nothing extra. It's the bare minimum of parts to make a striker-fired pistol work, reliably. Gaston Glock was a genius.
  13. I'm a dedicated fan of the LT-158 mount, for an AR, with it's 10 MOA built in, for AR guns up to the 50mm objective, and sometimes a little more. They work, out to 1k yards, easily, if the scope has enough internal travel. His Athlon scope does. I have enough Athlons, mounted in LT-158s, on ARs, to prove this. He can't go wrong with that combo, no guesswork, no measuring, just order the mount. It's flawless out to 1k. That's my Money-Back Guarantee. If it DON'T work, I'll pay you for the mount, plus the shipping that you had to incur, PLUS the shipping to me. Zero loss on your part - just time.
  14. ^^^ That's it right there. 0.783" centerline on an AR15, to 0.845" centerline on the .308AR platform. Well done, man.
  15. Time for you to do some 'splainin" to Big Nate...
  16. Oh, don't you EVEN try to blame me for what you stepped in yourself... I didn't type your post for you, and hit ENTER... You defend your OWN words, brother, and don't try to shift that on ME...
  17. This might be new to some people, might not be new to some people. Regardless, this is invaluable information.
  18. Oh, the stories I can tell, on that one... I might have more in tools, than I do in guns... Hard to imagine, but something to shake you awake...
  19. @Cunuckgaucho, NOW YOU DID IT. You're done brother, when you pissed off @BigNate...
  20. LaRue LT-158 mount, in 30mm. Trust me. It has 10 MOA built in, and it's all you'll need, with that scope. Select "Legacy VFZ Mount", and it takes $50 off the price. You're notgetting anything good for a hundred bucks, so brace yourself right now. The LaRue is $210 with the regular QDs, but the VFZ mounts make it $160.

    Fire Fire Fire

Have a plan to wet-down the teepee, brother, and protect your shiit. If there was a way for me to send Wolf Girl in a bikini, to run that water hose, I would.
  22. I think you do - that leopard-skin-print thing you wore a couple weeks ago - testing the Sex Swing - was HAWT AS FUK!!!...
  23. Like the other guys have already stated, your whole recoil system isn't adequate for a .308AR. Not in the least. But that's a separate problem. Your lower receiver details are the main problem here.
