Both @JBMatt and DirtBike Tommy shot suppressed, and from my perspective (timing and scoring, as Squad Mom Biatch), they didn't move as much as I was moving. Zero scientific data in that, just observation from human eyeballs. When I was shooting,I didn't think I was moving the platform like I was... I was just shooting. Seeing the vid of that,though, I was ROCKING that thing, every time I pulled the trigger. I feel bad for the Heavy Metal guys, shooting large-frame ARs...

After re-watching that vid of my gun moving that platform so much on the Stg 1 "wobble platform" so much... 5.56 isn't THAT much kick, right?!!? It makes a difference, once seeing it. It's the things that you pick up, along the way. Had it not been for @JBMatt's vid, I wouldn't have known... I have a regular old A2 on the end of that barrel. I'll be installing a VG6 2-port brake on that thing, with the VG6 CAGE device. I already run that combo on all the 6.5 Grendels, the .224 Valk, and the 6 ARC guns. The only way I'll be able to tell the difference that it makes is to get back on that platform and shoot... but it' makes a difference on those other guns...

There was a "grid pattern" on that carpet, too... After you got up from shooting, and said that, I laid on that wet-ish carpet - and I smelled it... That "grid pattern" was from the kennel that was always sitting on that piece of carpet...

Here's something wild, and what I was talking about earlier - one stage, one missed target, can wreck that stage if it gets in your head. One gun malfunction, whatever. That fucking Javelina got me this time... That guy that shot second-fastest on the timed stage - he shot that and hit all the targets in 22.02 seconds. 1st was 21.96 seconds. 6/100 th of a second separated those two guys. Well, that guy had a really bad Stg 5, hitting 2 of 8 targets - something happened on that stage, for him. Don't know what it was, didn't see it, he wasn't in our Sqd - but something happened. He's obviously very good. He cleaned every other stage. 34 hits, though, out of 40 targets - THIS month with the shooters out there... One blown stage, because "whatever" happened, and it wrecked the whole thing overall. Stg 5 didn't seem that bad for me, I didn't think it was tough. @JBMatt cleaned it, too. That was 8 targets in 90 seconds, I still have 8 rounds in the mag from that stage - so I missed some, but hit them later, 12 rounds to hit 8 targets. Something bad happened for that guy, and I feel for him, because he kicked the SHIIT out of the rest of the course. You never know what will happen out there...

Whatever stage ends up being "the timed tie-breaker" is always a crunch. It gets in your head. You KNOW you'll need to clean that stage to not completely fuk yourself, so that's in your head. You KNOW you need to shoot it as fast as you possibly can, with as few misses as possible, because that's just wasting more time if you miss ANYTHING and have to re-engage - so that's in your head, too. Then the timer goes off... This month was unreal, with the talent out there. We're not PRS shooters. The PRS shooters LOVE coming to this match, because it allows them to practice for PRS (target acquisition, target engagement, dialing in or just using holdovers, and wind holds) - without running the bolt on their competition guns. It just makes them faster, for the next PRS match. The more experience PRS shooters that show up each month, the tougher it gets, overall. It's a hoot watching some of these guys. Mind boggling. Look at the results in the timed stage... (EDIT, keep clicking the pic, it gets bigger) @JBMatt shot this in UNDER half the time allotted, cleaned it, and still was 26th place overall, with a 42.43 for the stage. I shot this thing in 45.39, cleaned it, and I'm in 31st place for that stage! The trippy thing is - there are 4 other shooters between us, that shot that stage clean, that were slower than 42.43 and faster than 45.39!!! Blows me away... I numbered my mags this month, so I could keep track of how many rounds I fired per stage, when I looked at my score per stage. For Stage 3, my "mag #3" still has 7 rounds in it. I had to fire 13 times to hit 10 targets. I'm betting that those guys WAY up there on the list still have 10 rounds in that mag, and didn't miss a single thing...

^^^ That's the truth! If you look at those two dudes in 1st and 2nd this month, that code after their name is the class that they're in. "Restricted, Bipod, 1 shooting bag, max 10-power scope." Their times for the timed stage tells it all. 1st was 21.96 seconds, and 2nd was 24.04 seconds. The guy listed in 3rd place is usually the guy that comes in 1st in these matches that we've been to. This was the 3rd one that we've shot - and we're not stopping...

It's a blast out there, in that group, man. You learn so much from watching other people, and you also get to help other people. Lots of great shooters out there this month, Wow! You always know the course will be different each month, challenging, and you never know how you'll do. One bad target can ruin the rest of the course, and that string of fire. One guy that we've shot with before - VERY good, a routine PRS match shooter - the timed stage just straight got him this month. You never know. The animal stage for me pretty bad this time. That damn Javelina. I hit 5 out of 8 in that stage, which means three of my missed targets were in that stage. When I got back on that damn Javelina after moving positions, I couldn't get him. I mean, I already hit the little bastard twice!... Then, I miss ONE on that Wobble platform. Gents, that's good for 30th place overall, right there! You learn something new every single match.

DAMN!! Never saw this one before - this is straight up for the DOOR-KICKERS!

DirtBike Tommy on Stg 3... I need to get into the suppressor game. I'm severely lacking on that... This was me at the beginning of Stg 3, timed. @JBMatt brought up a good point. Cold-bore, smashing different distances, I start off greeat. KILLIN' IT. If I don't keep it together, then that's on me... But, I always start off like I'm on fire!... ... There were 54 dudes shooting this month, overall. There were 40 targets to hit. I hit 36 of them, and ended up in 30th position. Mind-boggling, the amount of people that came in at the top of the heap, and the MY-NUTE separation between them. Unreal. @JBMatt absolutely beat my ass, as well as beating a bunch of OTHER asses, too, and he came in at 15th overall. We were both in the same class, and in our class of 39 dudes in "Open, Go for it, No equipment restrictions"... Matt rocked #12, and I sneaked my lazy ass in there at #22. Fuk yeah! And I failed on it, too! @JBMatt was first up - at EVERY stage today... (glitch in the Matrix) , and I was second up, every time. same order, every stage. So, he makes this shiit look easy-peasy,cleans it. I get up there, and get through 6 of 7 targets, and I'm down to the timer-wire to hit that last fucker, yank trig, MISS and the timer goes off. Still have 3 round on that mag,right now, too... You guys are gonna BE SWINGIN' at the Fall Shoot. It's decided. Laugh now - we're gonna laugh later, because we're gonna build it NOW, practice on it, and shoot the FUK out of it...

This Fall, you bastards are shooting Tic-TACT-Toe off one of those things, at 450 yards. 20 rounds max, 90 seconds, and you "only" have to make 9 hits. Should be simple...

WOW! The HEAVY TALENT was stacked DEEP this month, men! Rob Leatham was a competitor/shooter. And he finished 6th overall, in this field - there were alot of people this month that were ON THEIR GAME!!! It was epic to even be a part of it. Highlight of the day, no joke - not even kidding. @BigNate is new here, and local to me, and he said he'd come out to check out the match. He did. He is AWESOME! I signed up early this morning, around 0630-ish, and they were looking for "Squad-Mom" volunteers, and needed someone for Sqd 4 - I was there, and said, Yep! I'll take it! Meant I had to have all the range briefs, instructional changes, be on the blame-line for the timer and scoring device, etc. During each stage I was busy, but still got to talk to @BigNate. I'll just say that you fellas are gonna LIKE this guy... Some of you might get to meet him this fall - but he doesn't have any idea what that means, because I didn't tell him shiit about that yet... So, Nate - welcome aboard. You have no fathomly idea what you're in for... So, I'll get into details of this month's shoot tomorrow - I'm draggin'ass tired right now, and beat up after today. I'll leave this here for a teaser - THIS STAGE WAS FUCKED UP!!! This was tough. Really look at what you're seeing happen here... This was a rough one - except for @JBMatt - <<<of course. He cleaned this one. I missed cleaning it by one, down to the wire... This EPICALLY SUCKED SO BAD!!!... that we WILL have something like this AT the Fall Shoot. These guys pretty well covered it. That recoil system in your gun is fucked - it'll never work. Only thing I would change is bump that gas port diameter up to 0.090". When you test this gun, ALWAYS test it with your adjustable gas block WIDE OPEN. As open as it will go. You waste less ammo that way. Take your stock bolt release/bolt catch plate, and make it look like the pic below. You still lock it back with the lever underneath, but to release the bolt, you just tug back the charging handle and it releases. It's the very first thing that should be done to every 10/22. IMHO, anyway. No more fucking around under the bottom of the gun, just to reload and chamber a round. It takes longer to take it out of the gun and put it back in, than it takes to perform the modification to it.
