  1. Spring Shoot, sucka!
  2. Oh, I found it last night - and I knew it then.... I was ready for the SS delivery, but I might as well get the big care package in the mail...
  3. Best thing to do is buy the Berger Reloading Manual - trust it's information for it's own projectiles, over every other manual reference out there. The Berger 185gr Juggernaut can be loaded to magazine length, and Federal loads that in a Gold Medal Match loading. I've shot them out of a .308AR, and can tell you they work. I don't think there's any way in the world to make a 155.5gr projectile physically longer than a 185gr projectile, given the same diameter. You just need to find the right load data for that projectile - and that's gonna come from Berger themselves.
  4. Nopem I wouldn't sweat any slamfires. Shouldn't be any problem whatsoever, Out of spec (too long) firing pin is about the only thing that'll cause that in one of these platforms.
  5. That's deep. That's about like this one...
  6. Well, since DMPS is now out of business, I wouldn't trust anybody that's vending a genuine DPMS spring - most vendors don't know what they're talking about anyway, and can't label parts right, or even understand why you cannot use an AR15 carbine spring in a .308AR... Which is exactly why I recommended the Armalite EA1095 spring. There's only one manufacturer, and they've been making that spring to the exact same specs, from the exact same materials, for many decades. It's dependable, it works really, really well, and it's made the same every time, from the same people. Stick with something that is a known, in the equation, instead of something that isn't made anymore, and people don't know how to advertise properly... That's my $0.02.
  7. That's the Tequila, bro. Only leads to 2 things. Wild Jungle Monkey Sex, or someone's getting their ass beat. On rare occasions (and the right chick), it's both...
  8. Fuk it - let your hair down, brother...
  9. You have NO IDEA how bad I wanna get some "Pat Raley & Me" going on at the campfire during a shoot. NO IDEA... I don't think anyone else would be safe...
  10. Shiit, you guys haven't met me. Yet. I'm just a normal guy, that likes the AR platform and concept. When it screws you over on a build, you tend to find out why, so it doesn't happen to you again. Read this handbook - I used to work with this guy: https://soldiersystems.net/2008/08/26/m16m4-handbook/
  11. I like the plan - I like your style...
  12. Welcome aboard, man.
  13. He's a badass - and those tiny cars are unreal. He's more in Stanfield, than Maricopa, but you can hit up his place when you come down. It's not far.
  14. You get 'em, Mack!
  15. Ordered a LaRue LT-158 mount the other day, and it went to backorder-status the day after. Called them yesterday, and it's about a 4~6 week wait (average). Might be faster, might be slower. I'll use an Athlon 20-MOA mount in the meantime - I wanted to try one anyway. Once it comes in, I'll get the scope mounted up and update this thread. These are the times we face...
  16. ^^^ That one is a little different - listen to the forward, the intro...
  17. Send me to bed with a badass bedtime story of the 18" .260 Rem barrel that you guys are gonna do...
  18. 5.56 mags and 300BLK mags are never gonna work. ^^^ What he said. You need Grendel mags. For 17-rd mags, I use E-Lander mags, and either get them from Alexander Arms, or Primary Arms (when PA has them). LaRue Tactical sells them, too, but you can never see LaRue's live inventory. For 25-rd mags, I use the ASC mags. The ones with the blue followers. I always get them from PA.
  19. This MUST be a receiver extension that's 7 5/8" internal depth, if they're telling you to use AR15 Carbine Buffers and a .308 Rifle Spring. Get the extension, if it's available. Get an Armalite EA1095 recoil spring. Get ANY AR15 Carbine H3 buffer that you can find somewhere. Get the extension first, and measure the INTERNAL depth of it. Get the other parts when you confirm that internal depth is 7 5/8". EDIT - For a buffer, if you were set on an adjustable buffer, get the ODIN Works AR15 HEAVY kit... But, FWIW, a 5.4oz buffer will run all of those calibers. Well.
  20. Holy Fuk! Zack's Carbon Fiber fetish is badass!!!
  21. That thing was Prehistoric. Unreal.
  22. I know some of the guys at Aero - if they would have said we were stupid for saying something like what we said, I would have been making some calls...
  23. Backwards fuckers...
