  1. Whichever one you don't need, just let me know. I'll pick it up from you for what it cost you, plus the shipping to me. I support what I state, and you don't need to be out any money for that. You've noticed that... Uhhh... we're already affecting his finances...
  2. You guys could come out and shot with me this weekend, if you want - we'll be in the mid-70s.
  3. You guys are too fun tonight - you're just tossing softballs out there...
  4. What a great way to quote a few posts, and turn it into something else. Just read it...
  5. Exactly.
  6. He's done that in the past, in the Lube Testing thread. He dug out frosty pistols, just to test that stuff... Pics, and everything...
  7. It was way worse than that. I made sure of it. Her: "1SG!!! YOU CAN"T KEEP INTERRUPTING ME DURING THIS TRAINING!!!" Me: Oh, yes, I can. It's my company. You get through the information that you need to get through, and don't make the mistake again of thinking that YOU are in charge of MY company. Carry on now, and get it done... I fucking HATED all that annual-training bullshiit. Because it was bullshiit. The only thing valuable, that I ever learned from annual training requirements was Suicide Prevention. Got to practice that training a few times.
  8. I think you posted receiver pics - but not the whole thing! You definitely didn't AAR it, and tell the tale of how it shoots!
  9. Call Armalite on the telephone, and talk to a human on the other end. They'll get you the spring, and the gas tube.
  10. WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! When did you spill the beans on that AR9, man?!... WTF?!
  11. Same thing that you have to do with new Lieutenants, too. Climb straight up that ass right away, and spread out like a Spider Monkey, the INSTANT that they try to flex their muscles and throw some "LT Rank." They know right then, that they better not fuk with the 1SG... It's never proper to dress someone down in front of subordinates - but you fuk a LT up as soon as they fuk up, no matter who is around... Get it straight RIGHT then... They never make that mistake again...
  12. That thing almost looks like you could stuff BeltFed in it...
  13. Figured I'd let her know who she was dealing with, right outta the gate... YOU don't run my Company. Oh, and my Company Commander doesn't run my Company. I RUN MY COMPANY...
  14. I had to take my whole company to EO/Sexual Harassment training, mandatory for the year. I was the Company First Sergeant (1SG). Since we were a separate company under a Brigade (weird situation), the Installation EO Rep was giving the class. I'm never subtle, either. I got the company together in the conference hall that we had to sit in, and I opened up... "HEY MOTHERFUCKERS, SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE FUK UP!!! WE'RE HERE FOR OUR ANNUAL EQUAL HARASSMENT AND SEXUAL OPPORTUNITY TRAINING, SO FUCKING PAY ATTENTION!!!..." The Installation EO Rep almost shiit her ACU pants, RIGHT THERE...
  15. Don't get me started on "why AR15 gas tubes aren't right for .308ARs in the first place, because of height-over-bore issues..."...
  16. The shorter length doesn't deliver the gas pressure needed, for the correct length of time needed, in order to cycle the weapon the way is was designed. That's Gas Timing. It disengages early, gas pressure isn't delivered for the amount of time that it's designed to do, and you don't have the force driving the recoil system - that you should have. In that case, it's better to run the Armalite AR-10 gas tubes, which will extend just beyond the center of the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver, and give you just a touch MORE gas timing... This is just another example of a lack of standards by barrel manufacturers, and a BAD IDEA by barrel manufacturers, that don't really understand the differences between the two gas systems - AR15 gas systems, and the Armalite AR-10 (true) gas systems. Different lengths of gas tubes, Armalite AR-10 being longer... So, manufacturers think they can drill gas port locations IN BETWEEN those two gas port positions... "It'll work for most of the people, most of the time, with most of the ammo.... No matter what gas tube they use..." This is a cascading mentality, by manufacturers. "Tolerance Stacking" is what it's called, when you're working with dimensions of parts that have a plus or minus to a size - but this is an oddball way of thinking, in their mentality.... Gas tube is a little short, they put a light buffer in there to save money (because tungsten is expensive), and they just make the gas port too small to run that shiit. Compromises, based on $$$... Sooner or later, YOU are the guy that gets a gun that doesn't run... That's my soapbox on the whole affair...
  17. FRED!!! @FredHilkey - disregard my previous recommendation for the Sprinco Orange spring. Completely. Now that details are up here - and why they're so important in the first place - you have a receiver extension that's 7 5/8" internal depth, and you're running buffers that are 3.250" long. Obviously, that's a pattern of the Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system, right there. You just have a shiit spring in there, and that one is weird, both in relaxed length, and coil count. You have two choices for a spring. Armalite EA1095 spring, or the Sprinco RED spring. Both will do the job, whichever you can find in stock.
  18. You still have 4 days. HAUL ASS, BROTHER!!!
  19. You know that I'd much prefer if you did one of these up, instead of the Mossy MVP... I'm just sayin'...
  20. I'll see if GunPusher John can get ahold of one. You're right, though - that's a long shot, brother... What's your barrel-length preference, or does that even matter?... You probably need the Patrol, with the 16.25" barrel... I'm guessing...
  21. The DEWS moniker was the greatest gift ever bestowed upon me, and I didn't know it at the time, when these sneaky fuckers did it. I AM the Dumbass Early Warning System here...
  22. With the amount of guns, and calibers, that you have, brother - you need to be rolling your own. Why don't you reload?
  23. Do me a favor, and try out a Sprinco Orange recoil spring. This one: https://www.primaryarms.com/sprinco-ar10-orange-extra-power-carbine-buffer-spring Sprinco's description: "ORANGE Spring": The ONLY specifically engineered EXTRA POWER Buffer Spring for .308 Carbine Platforms using standard 7" Depth M4 extension tubes and .308 short 2.5" buffers (Including aftermarket "heavy buffers.") You cannot clip coils from any other commercially available buffer spring to yield the proper spring loads for this application, especially in heavily gassed .308 carbine platforms. We started from scratch on this design to provide Operators with a viable alternative to existing OEM and aftermarket offerings. Platforms known to exist using this approach include DPMS, Bushmaster (Post 2010), Remington, CMMG, Mega, SA Defense, Colt 901, Rock River Arms and many others. Color Coded ORANGE. If it doesn't work for you, I'll buy it from you for evverything that you have to pay for it, PLUS shipping to me. That's my Money-Back Guarantee.
