  1. I hope it makes sense - if it doesn't, or it's muddled/confusing - ask anything you want about it right here in your thread. I'll answer anything that comes up.
  2. Gas port diameter is king, in any gas system. It's everything. You don't need a gunsmith to resize the port - you can do that at home, with a hand drill and the right drill bit. I preach that all the time here, and the pilot hole that you need to follow is right there in front of you... Read this when you have the time:
  3. Coming back to the original question, after the "required banter..." YES. That is a very good gun. That's a match barrel in that thing, so it won't disappoint you.If your Gun Pusher still has it - then GO GET IT!...
  4. Call ADM, man. I hope they planned this thing out the right way. I've never had another 16" rifle gas barrel to compare to the FA barrel - and yours is definitely a 16" barrel. I now know why FA went with a 0.936 gas block journal size. They use that journal size to get the port diameter down from maxed-out. Even the 0.875" would give some wiggle-room, but that 0.750" doesn't leave anything on the table.
  5. I came up with some bad numbers for a gas port diameter for a 16" rifle gas barrel and a 0.750" gas block journal. You'll need a gas port diameter that's maxed out, 0.125". Let's see what ADM says about it. This is a .308 Winchester cartridge that we're working with here, right? Not 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08, something weird? .308 Win?
  6. Can you put a tape measure up to that barrel, from the upper receiver to the beginning of the muzzle device? That thing looks like 18" rifle gas, not 16" rifle gas...
  7. You'd have to pull the gas block - loosen and slide forward - and use a drill index (the small numbered bits) to determine the gas port diameter. That's the easiest way. However it shakes out, you definitely need to get us that number. That's the most important number in figuring all this stuff out. I can come up with a number range that it should be, based on the Fulton Armory proven barrel config, that works. That's 16" rifle gas, 0.936" journal, 0.105" gas port diameter. Give me a few, and I'll edit the post with the port range that you'd need to have.
  8. Gas block journal diameter is 0.750". That's the gas block diameter that you had to use. The barrel is beautiful - ADM does fine work. No way is the gas port diameter 0.750" - max gas port diameter that any barrel can have is 0.125", since that's the inside diameter of a gas tube. Double check that gas port diameter, if you will. 0.075" is a viable number, but not 0.750"...
  9. You need to look for one of these three versions - the M5 ATLAS handguards will not work, but these 3 versions are what you'll need to find. Even though they're out of stock, select what you want in the dropdowns, and use the part number to search the web. Something will turn up. https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m5-enhanced-mlok-handguards-gen2 https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m5-enhanced-quad-rail-handguards-gen2 https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m5-quantum-m-lok-handguards
  10. Yeah, it is. Gonna need a more-heavy than normal (heavier than 5.4oz) to counteract that lightweight BCG. OP, what's your gas port diameter? And the Gas block journal diameter? Your gas tube length is perfect. Leave your adjustable gas block - just make sure that you're running it wide open,as long as we're doing this testing. Once the gun runs right, worry about adjusting it down. I'd like to see pics of the ADM barrel. 16" rifle gas is rare, so if you can get that rail off and snap a pic, that would be awesome. It's just for the reason of seeing that isn't a Fulton Armory, because they're so rare. I know the Fulton Armory barrel profile had a 0.936" journal, and it had to have a 0.105" gas port to run right, because the dwell time is so short.
  11. Remington owned DPMS, and Remington went bankrupt. 7 different companies bought chunks of what Remington was. JJE Capital Holdings LLC for the DPMS, H&R, Stormlake, AAC and Parker brands; JJE Holdings = PSA.
  12. Deal, brother!
  13. I'm SO FUCKIN INTO THIS - that it's not even funny. I they want to tell my that semi-auto guns are super-skeery - then I need to see them shooting Super-Skeery guns at targets, with effectiveness - and demonstrating how bad and evil that they are. yeah. They won't do that. Brother, I want that Shock Collar more than you know.
  14. Surprised NO ONE here, A-Whore. However, I'd lay out cash for that gun, too - and finally get my first real Armalite?... That gun is worth it, OP- throw the cash and grab it.
  15. Belt, you looking at reloading components, or loaded ammo, brother? either way, it's a sad state of affairs right now. I never look for the loaded ammo, but that's just because I roll my own. I haven't looked for components until last night, looking for .260 Rem projectiles for @ARTrooper... Slim pickins... I did find some projectiles, if you're loading your own - I'll dig that list up if you want it. There's some decent, but not what I'd call "optimal" - things available. Finding ANYTHING just sucks right now. I'm out of my 225gr Hornady ELD-M .30 cal projectiles - and on backorder for 300 at a time. That's my magic for the Win Mag and that fuckin' Mile Target. I'm all assed out for shooting that that thing, until I get projos. I get to watch @JBMatt shoot at the fucker, and spot him...
  16. Jim, you have made my day with your post. I'm not kidding. The information works, when people use the information - and you did, and it still works. You have literally made my day, I'm not kidding you.
  17. Indeed - ANY of the Aero M5 handguards are gonna direct-mount right to that upper receiver. That's the beauty in it - any M5 handgaurds fit, and you don't need a barrel nut to mount the handguard - because the upper receiver takes care of that for you. But, it has to be an Aero M5 handguard - ANY one of them will work, directly mounted to that upper.
  18. Max COL is whatever the max mag length is for your magazines, in your gun, since you're shooting a semi-auto AR, and not a bolt gun. Don't rely on the load manuals to tell you what your Max COL is - when the mag in your gun is restricting that number, and nothing else will.
  19. @Snow_N_Surf - you can stop PMing me now. For real. You hash out whatever details that you can hash out - publicly, speaking logically, right here, right in your thread. That you started. Sound good? 11 PMs from you was WAY MORE than enough. I could have done with ZERO PMs from you, but you didn't think that you had to stop. Now, you don't get to PM me anymore. You broke that threshold, with your "I'm a Psycho" powers. Like I said in the last reply...
  20. You won't see a PM discussion from me - not with you. You want to discuss the finer merits of this gun system, then you'll do it right here, in your own thread. You can either communicate publicly, like humans are supposed to be able to do - or you can't.
  21. I don't ban anyone. Ever. I prefer that nobody here gets banned - ever. They need to stay here, and live it out, like a man. Learn from mistakes, and all that. Stick around, hash it out, and learn how to converse like real adults. Sadly, that's not always the case.
  22. For What It's Worth (FWIW) - I don't ever give a fuk if you ever recommend me, or not. I'm okay without your recommendation, for the rest of my life.
  23. Self-Implosion in... 3... 2... 1... Wait for it... He's gonna pop!
  24. Bring it. I welcome it.
  25. I did state that, directly. It works in these guns, that I stated that I have - and they run. Any more questions on whether or not it sucks, ir it works? I don't know how many rounds I have to send down range to prove it to you, but if you start asking for more proof, I'll start charging you for the ammo - with videos provided, for your comfort - of course. Get your wallet out, if you doubt what I've stated. I'm in for that. Pay me, and I'll give you definitive video proof of what I'm saying. Not that I haven't done that already, all over this board. The information is already here.
