In all sincerity, since we trashed Pete's thread here... this comes down to what I always stated. If you have an accurate gun - then it's always accurate. Barrel length doesn't matter, if it's a shorter barreled gun - it's accurate. After that, you just need to know the ballistics on the load, and the muzzle velocity out of that barrel - so you can make the right drop-at-distance choices. Accurate guns are always gonna be accurate, but if you wanna take something short-barreled to a longer distance, the only things stopping you are the limitations of the load, and whether you know your dope for that distance... I've done 12.5" Grendel at 850 yards, never tried to push it beyond that. That load goes subsonic at right after 900, and before 950... I'm about to get into some 12.5" 6 ARC at that same distance, and longer - as long as I can make it go...

Accurate 2520 is one of their "Camp Perry powders", and it's all I used I use in the Grendel and 6ARC. It's a badass powder for heavies, too - the 5.56 and .308 Win heavies. I'm running the Accurate 2495 for my .308 Win heavies, and it's a beast on those 178s. I'm sitting on 11lbs of it right now, got lucky awhile ago - or I'd be all over this one. Good heads-up, man - really good.

I'm in, too, brother - 12.5" on the way. That's the exact same barrel construction as my 12.5" Grendel barrel from them, and I know how that one really performs. Can't wait to get it and fire it up with my hotass handloads. Got a good load worked up through the 18"er right now, and it's SCREAMIN'!!! Got a LaRue Grendel BCG just sitting here doing nothing, along with the badass LaRue gas block, so why the fuk not, right?... I KNEW this was gonna happen again...

FINE lookin' buffer, man!!! Damn good work! I wouldn't worry about a single thing, testing that buffer, at that weight. Not at all. Hell, blow-back pistol-cal specific buffers are commonly in the 7 or 8 ounce range. I have one .308 Win setup that's running a 5.4oz buffer with another 3.95oz inserted into the carrier body. Run it, and let us know how it goes...

Fuk My Life... I fell down the Disturbed rabbit-hole just now, and found one. I LOVE remakes, when a rock band picks it up, and just CRUSHES it. Disturbed - Dave Draiman - killed this one. What a remake... If you know the backstory on Dave Draiman - this remake will make alot more sense to you, as to why he did it...
