And... That's damn near $6 every single time you pull the trigger, brother...
-
Scratch these clowns straight off your list. It's not worth the headaches that you'll incur. You're build an Aero M5 upper - just get the real Aero M5 upper parts kit, and be done with it. It'll WORK. That shiit from Davidson Defense is rejects and seconds, and might not fit. Don't be tempted by the dollar, and don't be tempted that they might say it's in stock - they commonly lie about inventory. Delta Team Tactical stock that looks JUST LIKE a B-5 SOPMOD stock... and cheap! It's chinese, and should be on an airsoft gun. Just buy the B-5 Systems real stock, if that's what you're looking at. Parts aren't easy to find right now - so don't go with airsoft parts on a real firearm. If that's what you want - then wait for the real parts to come in stock somewhere. By the way - thanks for sticking around, even after all the shiit we gave you. P.S. Those two companies are the same company... https://www.deltateamtactical.com/davidson-defense-ar-15-parts.html

MagPul .308 mags. That's the pattern you're looking for, and about the best mags that you can get for the gun. Anything on this page will work - click it. https://magpul.com/firearm-accessories/pmags.html?cat=29

Haven't been tracking it for commercial ammo for awhile, but I'll bet it has - if you can even find it. I was at 90 cents a round on reloaded brass with the 225gr SST projectiles. We had to up that to the Hornady 285gr ELD-Match projectiles - and that made it $1.90 a shot.

The struggle is real, brother...
-
Hey, hey - all I did was get a (small) group of friends together to shoot, when they were on vacation. Then, it turned into something else. I feel like a victim, here, of slanderous words...
-
That thing is already chambered for $6 dollar bills, brother, so I can only imagine that 40 rounds wasn't cheap... 🤪
-
I'll stay up on everything you post on the blank-development, brother. One of these days, I'm gonna try it - if they don't ban us from it first... You've been the Pioneer on the blanks, man, by far.
-
I know for a fact that when we "liberate" the original contents, and fill then with desert dirt - you can only fill then 2/3rds full. Anything more is one hell of an over-pressured load!... And a face full of dirt!... Apparently, desert dirt is WAY MORE DENSE than just water or beer... For this test of yours, we'll fire them at a full IPSC steel target at 15 yards, and see what's up - half-can, vs. full-can - next time you make it here, of course...
-
That 5.57oz will work, for the test - we just want to see if it's smashing up the brass, at the case mouths, like that other one was. For what it's worth, I've got about 9.5oz of buffer weight/reciprocating weight, running an 18.5" .308 Winchester AR, with my handloads, and that thing is damn near as I can get to perfection. Drops all the brass at 3 o'clock, about a foot away from the ejection port - right by my side... It's all in what the gun wants...
-
Just caught your edit comments, brother - here's an 18"er. You need to work to find the 3-footer. You WANT the 3-footer - twice the girth, and you can really get the bat-speed with something like that. It'll lay a motherfucker OUT pretty damn fast, when they take that thing upside the cranium... SAME psychological impact I was talking about, too - you knock out ONE GUY with that - and nobody else wants to fight. At all... Here's the 18"er, though: https://www.ebay.com/p/1750583328

Very FIRST time I met Rob, real face-to-face... he had 17 guns on his body. SEVENTEEN... It was almost like this...

Grab any AR15 buffer you have, if you have weights to use. Standard AR15 buffer, all 3 steel weights, is 3.0oz. Replace one with tungsten, you're at 3.8oz. Two tungstens = 4.6oz. 3 tungstens = 5.4oz. I think it might be slowing down the BCG too much, yes - and that's why my initial reaction was "not enough gas..." Yeah, It's not enough gas to drive that 8.6oz buffer, but the rest of your recoil system is STRAIGHT, man. Don't change ANY of that other stuff in there, in that recoil system. Those shavings - those are gonna happen in these. Assured, that's normal, for these kind of parts. If you bought a full-on match gun, that was completely blue-printed - all edges would have been dehorned in the extension before you bought it, and you'd see less - but some would still be there... Don't sweat that part of what's going on - don't even let it worry you...

When the first or second dude through the door eats that thing in the solar plexus - you just won the psychological war, right there. Their game is over...
-
You'd be shooting a non-projectile from a non-weapon (the Can Cannon isn't even a "firearm" at all) - but it's gonna cause more center-mass trauma than a 60mph head-on car collision whilst not wearing a seatbelt... What's not to like, here, if it was the first shot in a defensive home invasion... WTF?! is gonna be on the rest of those minds, initially...
-
Think about the Can Cannon for a second... 12ga slug is ONE (1) oz of lead, just tearing shiit up. Got it. My 45-70 loads of the 405-grain projectiles... those are 0.925 ounces, so damn near a 12ga slug - in weight... Got it. Some thug comes through the door and takes a TWELVE OUNCE PEPSI CAN STRAIGHT IN THE BRISKET... The dude right behind him, that was supposed to come through the door next? He's having second thoughts, when he HEARS the sound coming out of his buddy in front of him that just ate a 12oz liquid-filled slug, directly center-mass... I guarantee you... Who says you can't use a Can Cannon for self defense?... It won't go through anybody, but it's crushing sternums, and hitting people like Hollywood-Shotguns do, and carrying them right back out the door... For the Can Cannon, I prefer the Coors Light 16oz aluminum cans, with the screw top. 25% heavier payload, and a much better ballistic coefficient than a flat-nosed 12oz can... Refillable, too - one-time use in the Can Cannon, though. So, you empty the original contents, at your leisure, refill with water, reseal the cap - reloading process DONE!...

DAILY... I might add... Daily.

Those tiny brass shavings are gonna happen on every single new build out there, until you break the gun in. No way around it. People freak about it sometimes, but it's normal. It's gonna happen. I've seen really sharp edges on extractors mess up 6.5 Grendel operation before - made posts about it. Filing down the "claws" on the edges fixes that, and it seems like you fixed that. That is ALOT of buffer for a 6.5 Creedmoor, brother. ALOT. I know I stated "not enough gas" in my post above, but "too much recoil system" can exhibit the exact same symptoms. Try something for me, if you can... do you have a standard AR15 H3 Carbine buffer laying around? Toss that thing in there, and try it out. See how that H3 buffer cycles. That's gonna be 5.4oz. Give that a shot - literally - don't change anything else but that buffer, and see what they does for the cycling, and the brass condition. Try to keep track of where the brass flies, too - that'll tell us what needs to be done with the adjustable gas block settings.

Had to be the Chinese Vendors at SHOT last year, brother - brought it with them, Jan 21~24, 2020 - for SHOT... Drove home Friday night, got in at 2:30am, tired as hell. Crashed out, woke up at 8am to go to work at 9am - felt just like SHIIT... Went home, went to sleep. Couldn't get out of bed on Sunday. DRAGGED my ass out of bed on Monday morning for work, felt bad all day.... Tuesday? Back to normal. Whatever. Chocked it up to a bad case of the Flu. Wednesday, my 78-year old driver felt like shiit, Thursday, he had to call-out. Friday, he was back to work. I gave the COVID to him... Felt like Flu. Shorter in duration, just a tiny bit more nasty than Flu. Few days later, whatever on it...
-
Exactly - since SHOT won't happen this year... Major yearly deals made during that tradeshow, more than most people know about. Shiit - I'd be shooting at Industry Range Day right now, for the SHOT - today, right now on the night shoot - if it was happening this year. For Fuk's Sake - SHOT GAVE me the COVID last year...

^^^ As his Southwestern US Regional Manager (Gunk/Crud/Dirt/Cactii-Resilience Division), I can vouch for these things...

Oh, he's gonna get some - he knows that he has to come shoot with me now...

@Lane was working on blanks - I've never loaded them, but plan to sometime in the future. I was watching everything Lane was doing. Got lucky at the local Cal-Ranch today for the 178 ELD-X projectiles. 2 boxes. Went at lunch and they would only sell me one - "rationing" that they had to do. Went back after work and the other box was there, so I took it. That'll be 200 rounds better than I was doing yesterday, once I load them up...
