  1. ^^^ It's discontinued by the manufacturer... I shot one last weekend, at the match, after the match was over. Local PD Sniper actually scored one, brought it to the match, and it performs. It's unreal. Found one NIB, never fired, locally. RIGHT AFTER I shot that damn thing, searched it out. Score.
  2. Original MSRP $1549. I'll talk to you guys this weekend...
  3. Point out, and quote, where Sierra states that. I'll wait...
  4. You're 70, but you been loading for 60 years? Not buying it. Also, don't ever tell anyone here loading gas guns to go for neck tension, and not crimp their rounds. That's more fukced up than a football bat, and shows that you do not know what you're talking about. I won't do it in a PM, like you tried. Do it live, right here. You might load for small groups at 100 yards, but that doesn't mean shiit in the real world. The distances are longer now, the technology is better now, and people are doing more than shooting small groups at 100 yards. But, you do you. Just don't give anymore bullshiit reloading advice here. Have a great day.
  5. I just wanna DRIVE one of these monsters!!!
  6. Bet it's both. I'm just sayin'...
  7. Biggest, most important thing out of SHOT 25 so far...
  8. Just so you know - the "CN" that you're adding on to the end has nothing to do with the projectile designation, whatsoever. It just means that's the part number for a "carton" - 500 rounds in one box. For most other manufacturers, a "C" or a "CN" means it's a cannalured projectile - which this is definitely not. Sierra's part number for this projectile is 2269. Their part number for the 500 rd box is now 2269C. Your box that you show, with 2269-CN just means you have a really, really old box of this stuff. Just clarifying. You know - details matter.
  9. Can you please directly link this 169gr Sierra projectile that you're talking about, from Sierra's website? I searched the first time that you mentioned it a few days ago, and they only make one 169gr .308 projectile - and it doesn't match the description you're giving it. Thanks in advance.
  10. Got the perfect scope coming for this short 12.5" bastard. Big savings in it, too, during today, if anyone wants to jump on this. Hit the PA website for it.
  11. The finale of this - but not the end of it all. https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/openai-shuts-down-ai-gun-turret-developer/
  12. Nobody hit the Mile, with 5 shots. I saw a couple guys shooting high, and they dialed the elevation on their scope UP... I'm just sayin'... Know your equipment...

  14. That's good enough for me - I have one on order now.
  15. So, I called KAK today. Talked to an amazing lady on the phone, and asked her about this barrel. She told me that she really didn't know, and there wasn't anybody there that could correctly answer me on the 1:5" twist. She DID however tell me that all barrel designs and specs are determined by the owner, and I COULD email him directly and talk to him about it. So I did. My email: "I just noticed a new 12.5" midlength gas barrel on your website, this one is 416R stainless and has a 1:5" twist rate. Is that twist rate on that barrel to overstabilize 75 and 77 heavies to get more distance out of a 12.5" barrel? His answer: Stabilize longer bullets but most to help them expand and destabilize on impact for better wounding Kurt CUSTOMER SERVICE ISO 9001:2015, CAGE 7YV73, 83AW3, 9AP84 Office: 805.981.4734
  16. Sounds legit, and the fixes for it are easy, if it needs fixed. The buffer is on the lighter side of preference, for a proper recoil system, and the spring is an unknown. That buffer will be a 2.500" long buffer - no other way to make it work in a .308AR, with a 7.000" internal depth receiver extension. So, this comes down to that recoil spring, and the gas port diameter in the barrel. FWIW, Live Free Armory is legit as fukc. The owner is a great, great guy.
  17. I can cover that, too, no problem. We'll go over it all. If it's only the out-of-towners that are interested in this, then we might actually have a 5-day training event, staying through to Monday this time, instead of breaking camp on Sunday, and getting it done.
  18. Not my call - it's what he calls them all in the review. The vid is titled "Poverty-Tier," but he switches over to Garbage-Tire pretty quick. It's pretty good, and explains alot. All guns cost $399 or under. Delton Anderson Radical Firearms. Diamondback Firearms Palmetto State Armory
  19. Can't find an ice scraper down here - I keep an expired credit card in my wallet, for the rare occasions that it actually DOES happen...
  20. Exactly. Let's stick to the point of the thread, which is a new barrel, never before been seen. Not about swaging 230gr 45s down, or 45-70 loads, or projectiles can't protrude into the case, and all the bullshiit distractions.
  21. It IS cold enough, you're right. I woke up this morning, and it was a tick over 30* on my back porch. In AZ. That's BUUULLSHIIT!!! Supposed to be 27 or 28* tonight. I don't even want to leave the house in the morning for work - might have frost on the windshield...
  22. Covered. Get the ones that run .22 RamSet blanks. Way cheaper, and you get the blanks at hardware stores nationwide. No. 26 forge sentry alarm mines.
  23. That's not Arctic, brother. But -50* is Arctic. It's not even "cold" in Alaska right now, compared to past years. I'm just sayin'... -15* at Fort Wainwright. That place is usually -50* right now, through March.
