  1. It didn't do any good, brother - not even a little. That dumbass didn't read the link that I linked to him...

    98's 6mm ARC

I'm in that boat - FUK THAT THING UP, and beat the living shiit out of it. "Mongo SMASH!!!" kinda shiit. Kinda treat them like full-on GREG would. CRUSH!!! I'm in THAT boat, too. My M1 Carbine and the Springfield M1903A4, and that sweet 8mm Mauser... are to be shot. In a past life, maybe they were for smashing heads open, too, but now... they get babied, and just shot, and taken care of.
  3. Tell Eric we said, "HEY!" and would love to have him here.
  4. Yeah - once in awhile I throw it. Tech N9ne. Fucker rocks - well, Raps - his ass off.
  5. Brass Whores...
  6. I'm GRATEFUL!!! I STILL can't find that shiit down here... If it comes back around, I'm buying CASES of it... You rock, Eric...

This, my brother, was my favorite take-away from what you said. By far. Run it hard, it's not a fuckin' Safe Queen. Beat it's ass, and it will deliver. You NAILED that.

Awesome post! I can't do any other barrel besides the BA Mk12 SPR profile. I just can't. 20" is just too much gun, and 18" moves so much better. Now, that's the personal reasons. For testing reasons, it just can't be any other barrel - because all the others are wearing that same barrel, in whatever-caliber, and it needs to be an honest comparison. There's no other way for me to do it. I can't run the 6.5G BA Mk12, .224Valk BA Mk12, toss in the 5.56 BA Mk12 for shiits and giggles - then try to fight that Kreiger-Criterion old-skool Fulton Armory 18.5" .308 Win gun (the Mk11)... with a 20" barrel by someone else. I'm stuck with that BA Mk12 barrel, if for nothing else, than comparison purposes. It's my favorite personal choice for a barrel anyway, so that's a plus... It's damn sure gonna be apples-to-apples, and oranges-to-oranges, that way. The truth lies in the efficiency of the cartridge, and all the claimed ballistic coefficients (and sectional densities). True test... IF... IF you decide to move on this one and do the PRI rail... I will buy it, and get your $$$ down on it. Don't spend more than you have to, here. IMHFO... this 6 ARC is gonna deliver. I don't think you'd HATE a Mk12 Mod 0 6 ARC. If, for whatever reason you DO hate it... you already have the necessary parts to run that 5.56 Mk12 Mod 0 in the future - you're not wasting money here.

The LaRue lower hasn't shipped yet, but I ordered it on Friday night. We'll see what tomorrow brings. The barrel is enroute, still with a Friday, 19 June delivery guess, according to tracking. I'm starting to get a little antsy, here.
  10. I just used it again, @Albroswift - excellent work, my man.
  11. UUUUGH... It was ROUGH. Start with Crown (Limited Edition) Salted Caramel - pure candy. Next up, the usual, and usually SAFE... Jameson. Then, out comes the fuckin' Kraken, spiced Rum - thanks ALOT for that one, Eric... But, we're still safe... Then Mikey jerks out a bottle of Hennesey cognac. And THAT was the killer...

They are the absolute finest source of deep Grendel knowledge out there. I'm gonna go check out that 6ARC thread.
  13. You're judging NOW. And saying it's Treason. Back THEN, it was definitely not Treason, brother. Try to get your mind back THEN, and put yourself in THOSE SHOES. Think about that. I mean that, really think about it. It wasn't anything near "treason" when all that shiit was going down. Yet, we "think" we can categorize it like that now, in these days? Foolhardy, to even think about it like that. Completely.

    98's 6mm ARC

Grendel mags, brother, Grendel mags. The case on this thing is damn near identical to the Grendel cartridge. We'll see how this all shakes out, but if I were to advise you on that perfect do-all cartridge - prior to this one, the 6 ARC - I'd HANDS DOWN tell you that you need a 6.5 Grendel. HANDS DOWN. That IS the most efficient cartridge that's ever, ever been developed for the AR15-based small-frame AR platform. HANDS. DOWN. Now, this 6 ARC... if it blows a Grendel away, then EYE will be blown away... (Emphasis on the word, not the spelling...) I'm taking this jump because I think it can compete - and maybe beat - the 6.5 Grendel. After all, it's a 6mm Grendel we're talking about here, with the same long, slim, skinny projectiles... That's what the ballistic coefficient is all about, when - WHEN - it's got the sectional density behind it to back it all up.
  15. Very valid point, right there, brother.
  16. Not at the time, back then. History is different. They were some of the greatest leaders that we ever had, and led troops in combat. Now, WHY they were fighting... that's the rub. That does NOT take away from what they accomplished, not even a little. That fight was THAT FIGHT, and we're not here to second-guess it or armchair-quarterback it. We weren't there, dealing with what THEY were dealing with, in the mid 1800's... All these little "feelings" fuckers that want to ERASE military history, this COUNTRY'S history, will never be able to do it. It's there, and it's real. It already happened, and you cannot change history, no matter how hard you cry those feelings, and express your outrage. Maybe if you were there then, Feelings-People? Would you have stood up? Doubtful, knowing the current makeup and intestinal fortitude of these weakass fuktards. History is what it is - it's in the past. No matter how much they want it to diasppear, erase it, and have it never be spoken of again... It's THERE. It's DONE. Historically, you can learn from your mistakes (many of us do, with marriage), but you cannot change your past mistakes, and you cannot erase you past mistakes. Truth. You can, however, learn from all that shiit, and change who you are, and what you do. Or not. Just keep fucking up. Destroying and removing that stuff is a huge mistake. GIANT. They're just trying to ERASE history, but they're not doing a single fucking THING in order to change their future. They just want it ERASED, and forgotten about. They're trying to CHANGE history. Sorry fuckers, it doesn't work like that. Now, go grab that bag of smashed assholes for your desert. What's next? We have these little Feelings-Fuckers second-guessing why we were so "insubordinate" to the British, in Boston, with everything that led up to 19 April, 1775?... They can Fuk off.
  17. Now you went and did it. And, I can't help myself...
  18. Make your thread, post that same pic of your build parts, and expect some questions. Rifle recoil system, I already see, based on your stock choice. Hit your new thread, and we'll figure it out.

    98's 6mm ARC

I don't think I'll be able to run them out of my new-ish .243 Win Rem 783 bolt gun - but I'm gonna try. I think I'll end up with two separate loads here, one for each gun. I'll keep it updated in this thread, though. I think that 90 GMX is gonna work out pretty well in the bolt gun.
  20. Well... THAT escalated quickly!...
  21. Great Sweet Baby Jesus - been here since 2014?! I'll dig into it, brother. As far as barrels fitting into receivers, that's standardized across the industry, and barrel extensions (on barrels) all have the same O.D. Or very, very damn close, and we're talking "needing a micrometer" to tell any difference. Any barrel is gonna work in any upper (Not DPMS G II or any of that PSA "small frame LARGE AR stuff). For the standard .308AR, pick a barrel, pick your receivers - it's gonna work. Matrix Aerospace is solid. The receivers are great, there are no flaws, and they work. BA, Faxon, and Criterion are all great barrel manufacturers, so that will come down to the features that you want in that particular IDEA of what you want/need in a barrel. Flutes? Certain profile? Certain material? That kind of stuff. You toss an idea out here @bmoney9, on what you're looking for on that particular barrel profile, and we can narrow that all down. I've been on one hell of a BA kick lately - because they have the specific profile that I needed/wanted - and the material, and twist rate - and those damn things are accurate. As Fuk. To this day, though, my Kreiger-Criterion 10-year-old .308 Win barrel is the best barrel I've ever had. And, I love the Faxon barrels that I have. You just can't lose, with any of those three companies. You wanna go distance with a 16" .308 Win barrel? It's easy. Just need to know what you're looking for in that specific barrel.
  22. Still working on it. November for sure. I'll get details up here soon. Not taking the chance on October anymore, and another 4 1/2 foot rattlesnake wandering into camp at 9pm. No more of that shiit. Needs to be November, so the nights are cooler, and those slithering fuckers aren't out, strolling through camp.
  23. That will be stellar!
  24. If you go after one of her "pets" - there's gonna be hell to pay...
  25. Did you look at the block alignment before?
