Damn. That sucker is small. Based on the barrel diameter at the gas port, I'm gonna say that you'll need 0.080"~0.085" gas port diameter. Crazy, right? Make small steps until it functions, but if it was mine, I'd go straight for 0.070" and move up from there in 0.005" increments until it runs right. EDIT - just on a weird note - shoot it like that and see what happens...

@Adamc55, I'm just glad your gun is running like it should. I have to ask, though - is your gun running as it should, based on information I've stated? Did you get your gun running, on information I gave you? Was your dwell time what I stated it would be? I gave a ballpark figure on it, but after I looked at it close, I think I nailed the dwell time. Gas port size? I think I projected 0.090"~0.095" for your barrel gas port diameter, and it was pretty close to that. When you told me you were running adjustable gas, I think I said "just drill it to 0.100" and run your adjustable gas block. You did that, pretty damn close, at 0.0995" drill bit. You're running a 5.3oz buffer, 7" internal depth receiver extension, and a Sprinco Orange spring - which is NOT for "severely overgassed .308ARs" - it just the normal spring from Sprinco for .308ARs running 7.000" internal depth carbine extensions (AR15 parts) on a .308AR, with a 2.500" buffer, of the proper weight (which is near, or on, 5.4oz, in a .308AR). I'm just happy your gun is running - but if you have feedback, I'd greatly appreciate it. If I ever told you something wrong - I'd greatly appreciate that, too, right here, openly.

OP, you can't apply a pistol correction chart to rifle shooting, and the reason is - you're not shooting the rifle sandwiched in between both hands, at arms length (or close to arms length). @edgecrusher hit it, though - what distance are you okay at, and then at what distance is it 6" off?... It also helps to know what position you're shooting from (sitting, kneeling, prone, standing), and if the shooting position is supported or unsupported (bipod, sandbags, sling, shooting rest, etc.). If you're applying the fundamentals, that's one thing. If you're not applying the fundamentals, then that's another. Let's determine if this is a gun problem or a shooting problem... Here's what shooting mistakes look like, for rifle, and you don't follow the basics - Proper sight alignment, proper sight picture, proper breathing, using skeletal support and not muscle support, proper trigger squeeze, proper trigger follow through. It turns into just as many questions about you, and what you're doing, and the same for the gun. What trigger, what kind of sights (open, red dot, magnified optics)... That's a damn great gun, right there. I built a smaller version of it, in .308 Win, with the 13.5" barrel. That brake really works, and it works well.

I'm asking based on all the amount of HUGE BULLSHIIT there is out there on other boards, and about the bullshiit on 3.8oz buffers, etc - that will never work, without compromising your whole recoil and gas systems, both, in whole. I'm asking, just because I ask questions of people, on their setup, and I provide direct information that will get their gun running right. I then get questioned on the very info that I provided... I was wondering when this was gonna come up, and almost posted it yesterday. The Sikhs are badass, and have always been fighting for our side (which is their side).
