  1. I hit it as soon as they sent the email announcement, and the trigger arrived in 3 days. We're talking about ordering within minutes of the email hitting my inbox. Seems like everything after that slowed down. Depends on when you ordered it. My 2 Grendel mags (same order) were shipped separately, and arrived a few weeks later. I was surprised when the trigger showed up, but I was happy that they shipped them separately.
  2. Same thing DPMS does, kinda. If your serial number ends in a "K" that was a stripped lower. If it doesn't have a "K" is was a factory rifle. That's the LR-308 lowers - I don't know if that's the pattern they follow on 5.56 stuff.
  3. By the way - it's about damn time you show back up. I'm just sayin'...
  4. Absolutely right on. Right on. He nailed it. I can't stand that little fuk Hogg.
  5. Same here, with my Tac Pro II - it's damn near identical to yours.

    no pc bs.

It was there when I was in, but I tried to align myself with units that didn't tolerate it. I was largely successful, until the end. The last 3 years at a (primarily) training installation was it for me. I got to see how corrupt the SENIOR Senior NCOs were - declined promotion consideration for that level 3 years in a row, and punched out. Their issues were not my problem to try to solve...
  7. ^^^ Yep, what he said. Remove the ejector from the bolt body. Leave the spring in there, make sure it's fully inserted. Note exactly how much spring sticks out of the bolt body. Trim the appropriate amount of spring off - OFF - so the spring is flush with the bolt body. That is exactly how much spring you need for reliable ejection. You don't need more than that. Give it a shot, brother. @Magwa
  8. That's awesome! I don't see many reports of the lighter projectiles. I've got some lighter ones for the 300BLK,but I've never loaded them up as .308 Win loads. I might try a few.
  9. I'm so far into agreement with you on that, and it can't even be measured. x1000? Not close. x1 MILLION? Nope, not on the radar yet. x1 BAJILLION?! Yeah, maybe. If you times it by another bajillion, add 75 and multiply by another bajillion. That might be close to where I'm at, in agreement with your statement. Maybe.
  10. The C-Products mags will not fit all AR-10s. Only some. Check which AR-10 model you have, before you buy - it would suck to find out that they don't fit your specific series of AR-10. This will help:
  11. AR15 it is. PSA gets that right. Should be a solid setup, as with any manufacturer. Odd to see AR15 parts listed in the for sale section here, without clarification - sorry for jumping your a$s...
  12. I was specifically asking you, so I can help you sell the parts. If it's a mis-matched 308 system, I can inform you of that, and you can list them individually, for what they pertain to - be it 308, or AR15.
  13. I'll have a half rack open... I need to make some of these damn things...
  14. I thought about that as soon as I saw 'em! Each one holds 16 rifles... I need 4, right away...
  15. Scratch this place off my visit-list. Sucks, too - they make badass Maple Syrup, right outta the tree... http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/03/luis-valdes/breaking-vermont-legislature-passes-gun-control-republican-governor-said-he-will-sign/
  16. You would definitely have to list all the measurements of the parts, or nobody will jump on this. PSA has a history of critically mis-matching the recoil system on their end.
  17. It won't turn into Trig until we're accounting for bullet flight time over distance, and the Earth's rotation... THAT shiit is DEEP! That's Coriolis Effect. Great visualization of it, shooting west, then shooting east. We will be shooting almost due west, during the Fall Shoot Long Range day.
  18. At the Spring Shoot, the angle we were shooting down was 9 degrees. Didn't make too much of a difference. While Matt and JB Matt were sighting in, I hiked up further, and got an angle downward of 14 degrees - that was something to need to account for. I also found a good place to shoot from, so I brought them halfway up - from where they were to where I scouted the steeper angle. The biggest problem was that we had the target pretty far from the base of the hill - that changed the angle. We get it close to the hill base, and it'll be steeper, with more need to account for that. Brush up on your Pythagorean theorem, because that's exactly what you'll need to solve this problem, and put rounds on target.
  19. We'll get into that shiit on the High Angle days. Field expedient ways to determine angle to target, using Angle Degree Indicators/Angle Cosine Indicators mounted to a rifle, and cheating... We'll straight CHEAT with the laser range finder. It computes that shiit for us...
  20. No idea on that. Pulling the gas block is the way to find out.
  21. Oh, it's gonna be more than a couple... Stack enough quarters to make up the difference between your (current) carbine buffer, at 3.250" long, to make it as long as a 308AR rifle buffer length of 5.200" long. You need to make up the difference of 1.950". Quarters are 0.069" thick. You'll need 7 bucks. 28 quarters. I shiit you not. Buffer and spring come out. Quarters go in, so they're at the back/on the bottom of the receiver extension. Then spring and buffer go back in. Test it - make sure you can pull the charging handle back, and the bolt face clears the bolt catch - but not by much. Don't worry about doing this, either, no matter what anyone says. It's common on pistol-caliber AR builds. You need a buck seventy five on those.
  22. Very valid. Very useful, too. That's what we primarily use to check wind between shooting position and target. If you're seeing mirage, and it disappears, (either the wind just completely died, or) it's over 12 mph. Winds above 12 wash the mirage right out. If that happens, you read it at an angle from your target. Measure mirage at a 45-degree angle (away from target), determine the wind speed, multiply by 1.4. Measure mirage at a 60-degree angle (away from target), determine the wind speed, multiply by 2.0.
  23. Florida college student to be deported after skipping class, buying 'sniper rifle' and dyeing hair: report http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/03/30/florida-college-student-to-be-deported-after-skipping-class-buying-sniper-rifle-and-dyeing-hair-report.html A University of Central Florida international student who abruptly changed his appearance and called his high-powered weapon a "sniper rifle" will be deported to China, an immigration judge has ruled. Wenliang Sun, 26, violated the terms of his F-1 visa by not attending classes, police said -- an offense that would normally lead to a slow process of notices and warnings. But officials said he was fast-tracked for deportation because of a series of sudden "red flags," including dyeing his hair blond, alarming his roommates, and buying a $70,000 Chevrolet Corvette in cash with his father's money. “In my country, that is a cheap car,” Sun told detectives investigating reports of his strange behavior, according to a police report. One of the seized high-powered weapons and ammunition. (UCF Police Department) School officials first reached out to cops Feb. 1 after reports from Sun's friends and roommates that he had changed dramatically, according to local reports. Sun legally owned a LWRC 300 Blackout rifle and ammunition, as well as a .308 Ruger Precision caliber rifle equipped with a bipod and scope, police said. He also had a hunting license. But Sun's predilection for calling his weapon a "sniper rifle" instead of a hunting rifle alarmed authorities, UCFPD Chief Richard Beary said, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Authorities said the student referred to his weapon as a 'sniper rifle' rather than a hunting rifle. (UCF Police Department) So did Sun's statement that he liked to “play with" and "look at" his weapons, according to a police report. When Sun lost his non-immigrant visa status by not attending classes, he also lost his right to own weapons under federal law. "Some of the [investigators] with a lot of years of experience … walked away and said, 'We just saved a bunch of lives'" - UCFPD Chief Richard Beary An immigration judge ordered his deportation on Mar. 21, the Orlando Sentinel reported. He was being held Thursday at Baker County Detention Center in northern Florida. Authorities said that even though Sun did not make any threats or attempt to harm anyone, he still posed a major risk to student safety. Aurora, Co. movie theater gunman James Holmes dyed his hair bright orange before his killing spree, and also abruptly stopped attending his neuroscience program. “Some of the [investigators] with a lot of years of experience … walked away and said, ‘we just saved a bunch of lives,’ ” Beary told the paper. “There’s no doubt about it.”
  24. You have a rifle recoil system (tube and somewhat, on the spring), but it's got a carbine buffer in it that's 3.250" long. That's a serious mistake on their part. You should have a rifle buffer in there that is 5.200" long, and weigh more than 5oz. They boned that one up pretty bad.I'd shitcan that spring for an Armalite EA1095 spring.
