  1. You're in BC. Maybe one day we can get you down here to AZ for a meetup shoot. Give you some freedom, in a way. It would be a hoot to have you down for one.
  2. No worries - make sure you get some before and after pics up here, so we can see this beast.
  3. That'll be fine.
  4. Check it: https://762ar.com/dpms-a3-handguards/ Good luck.
  5. Yep. That pad shouldn't compress that much. I'm just sayin'... The cure for your ailment, no matter what, is putting in the gen-u-wine Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system, complete. You won't have to hunt around, poke this, prod that, try to figure out... ...anything. It just works. As soon as I saw the internal depth on my stuff, I dumpstered it. Didn't play with it, try to figure it out. None of that.
  6. "Reserve" anything, I relate to the military. Reserve is part-time. I've been into it with some Reservists before, when they puff up and try to tell me how long they've been in. My response is always the same. Reservist: "You need to LISTEN to me, I've been doing this for 9 years!!!..." (tantrum-like) Me: Oh, 9 years, huh? Like, 9 years of "one weekend a month" and you combine that with "two weeks during the summer?" That's a year? How does that compare to MY 9 years of DOING THIS EVERY FUCKING DAY?!!? Sadly, it usually makes their eyes open a little wider... This guy in the article has 11 years as a police reserve officer. What's that like for a fulltime cop? 2-year new patrolman probably knows WAY more? I'm asking, I don't know...
  7. What a dumbass. Pointed it at the ceiling to show it was unloaded. And fires it. This is right outside old Fort Ord. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/03/14/teacher-accidentally-fires-gun-in-class-students-injured.html
  8. Faxon St Patrick's Day sale. 15% off the Big AR barrels. Ends 3/22 at midnight. http://faxonfirearms.com/sale-items/
  9. Very interesting article. Well worth reading it through. From the Crime Prevention Research Center. https://crimeresearch.org/2018/03/push-ban-guns-21-years-age-share-mass-public-shootings-done-age-21/
  10. If the tube internal depth was less than 7.000", with a 2.5" long buffer, the shoulder of the BCG wouldn't be able to hit the ears on the lower... Something is off, measurement-wise...
  11. Gaucho, this is the most information we've ever heard on all this stuff - it gets referenced once in awhileby other CA members - but no details like this. That's why I was asking in the first place... It's better than Australia, WAY better than Great Britain... NZ, I don't know - we have a good guy from NZ here, and that's not bad, I don't think. Makes me wonder what the hell is going on with my other brothers in real English-Speaking Countries on this planet. WTF?... Militarily, we had an exercise with our real partners once a year, and it was nicknamed "ABCA" - American, British, Canadian, Australian..." We forgot about the NZ brothers... No offense, but the English tried to "rule" us and make us subjects, and we weren't having it. At all. I don't wish that upon anyone, and the Brits got an asswhoopin' for years of abuse on us. I don't understand WTF happened in the other countries...
  12. Go hit your other thread, man - I gave you a data-dump in there. Shiitcan your recoil system.
  13. Aero Precision's 308 carbine receiver extension is too long, in internal depth. It doesn't even match AR15 parts, which it SHOULD, with the buffer and spring they're using. I found this out more than 2 years ago, maybe three years ago, and I still can't believe they haven't done anything about it, to this day. I LOVE me some Aero Precision parts, but holy shiit, guys?!!? CHANGE YOUR 308 RECEIVER EXTENSION!!! More than half the ARs I have are made from Aero receivers. And it's alot. MY Aero Precision M5 carbine receiver extension had an internal depth of 7.100". That's about 0.100" too much. I threw it in the trash, literally, because it won't work for a 308, and it won't work for an AR15. Dumpster. I notified them, and I moved on - to a genuine Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system, complete. Looks like they didn't do anything with the information that I used, during said notification. The internal depth of your receiver extension is too long, allowing your buffer to travel too far rearward during recoil, and your BCG impacted the ears on your lower receiver - because your BCG is allowed to go too far, because your receiver extension is too long, internally. That's bascially what I sent them, except in first person, when it happened to me. I hope they read this. Again. And do something. Shiitcan your Aero recoil system, and move to the Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system, complete. You'll never have that issue again, it'll probably cure all your other running problems as well, and you'l be happier, taller, less gray, more attractive to the opposite sex, and your manhood will probably extend another 1.5 inches... Well, maybe not ALL that. Your gun will run, though.
  14. He could break an anvil in a sandpit...
  15. Don't run the suppressor, either. Make a functioning rifle, first. Let's deal with making a functioning suppressed rifle later. Don't complicate shiit with complicated shiit.
  16. Wrong buffer. Period. Buffer tube (receiver extension) as well. Get rid of that entire recoil system. Please list details on the entire recoil system.
  17. Gunner profile is pretty damned awesome.

    MUGSHOT MONDAY

Week 1, 12 March 2018. Would you risk it?... Think about this now... Here's her story: A 32-year-old woman who abandoned young children — some just six months old — at her illegal day care in Bend, Oregon, to go tanning and to go do CrossFit has been sentenced to 21 years, four months in prison. January Neatherlin was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in February to 11 counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment and a count of third-degree assault. Neatherlin was arrested last year after police found seven children younger than five left unattended at her center called Little Giggles. Authorities said she forced the children to take melatonin to induce sleep before heading out to work on her self-care. “She repeatedly administered a sleeping agent to a room full of infants, toddlers and children and drove off in her car to fulfill her narcissistic needs. There is no room in our society for monsters like this. January has no respect for human life,” one parent said, according to KTVZ. According to KTVZ, Judge Wells Ashby highlighted the destruction Neatherlin’s actions caused the families. Ashby said the aftermath of her crimes led to broken relationships, behavioral problems and financial struggles. One family said their daughter suffered a brain injury, consistent with shaken baby syndrome, while in Neatherlin’s care; other parents said their children were struggling to sleep after Neatherlin fed them the drug, according to KTVZ. Neatherlin had been running the illegal childcare operation for about four years, and she also lied to parents about being a registered nurse, but had no such qualifications, according to The Oregonian. State records showed the business was investigated twice since 2014 by state child welfare advocates. Based on tips provided by a former boyfriend and a former roommate, Bend police watched Neatherlin last March leave the center twice while she was supposed to be watching seven children, according to The Oregonian. Neatherlin had been telling parents they weren’t allowed to pick up or drop off their kids between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; police checked CrossFit and Tan Republic records to discover those hours she referred to as nap time is when she would leave the center, according to The Oregonian. In court Neatherlin apologized, telling families that she had failed them and let them down. “Everybody makes mistakes, but not everybody takes responsibility for those mistakes. With that said, I hope the court and the parents accept my apology. I made a very poor call, and it has forever changed my life and even ended it,” Neatherlin said, according to KTVZ. The other counts of criminal mistreatment are for previous incidents with children. Neatherlin has prior felony identity-theft convictions under the names January Livsey and January Brooks.
  19. Welcome men, to MUGSHOT MONDAY. There's a goal here, though it might not seem like it, right away. Yet. Every Monday morning, I'll put up a mugshot. You look at it, read the story behind it, and make your determination... Would you risk it? Believe me, through the years, I've come to the realization that it might look alright on the surface, it might act alright through the initial stages, but down in there somewhere is some crazy. They all have it. What I've been told is that, yes, they can be crazy - but it's ME that brings that out of them. I don't buy it. What I will accept is that I'm a sucker, and I've got some kinda thing for the crazy, and I can just pick it up - and I'm drawn to it, like moth to light. Been burned too many times now... It can't just be me... Well, besides my judgment. So, throughout this tirade/charade/masquerade... YOU make the decision when you see these mug shots, and read the stories... Would you risk it?...
  20. Just wondering. We casting this guy aside for his comments on weapons?... I'm alright with it - I don't listen to country. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/11/10/tim-mcgraw-and-faith-hill-call-for-gun-control-following-las-vegas-massacre.html Tim McGraw and Faith Hill call for gun control following Las Vegas massacre Husband and wife power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have called for gun control following last month’s massacre at a Las Vegas country music festival that took the lives of 58 people. In an interview with Billboard magazine, the country singers told the publication they are concerned for Americans' safety. “Look, I’m a bird hunter — I love to wing-shoot,” McGraw, 50, said. “However, there is some common sense that’s necessary when it comes to gun control. They want to make it about the Second Amendment every time it’s brought up. It’s not about the Second Amendment.” Hill, 50, revealed the couple had friends in attendance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct. 1 when Stephen Paddock opened fire from his hotel room at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, killing 58 people and wounding nearly 500 others. “In reference to the tragedy in Las Vegas, we knew a lot of people there,” Hill said. “The doctors that (treated) the wounded, they saw wounds like you’d see in war. That’s not right. Military weapons should not be in the hands of civilians. It’s everyone’s responsibility, including the government and the National Rifle Association, to tell the truth. We all want a safe country.” On Wednesday, the country music stars joined other singers on stage at the Country Music Association Awards to pay tribute to those killed in Las Vegas.

  22. Tell you guys what, no matter what opinions may come up here - I am ALL DOWN with crazy motherfuckers not getting guns. ALL down with it. I am ALL FOR strengthening the mental health screening of these people, and I am ALL DOWN with requiring states to report this to the Federal Level. ALL THE WAY. There needs to be a FEDERAL LAW on this requiring states to do it, and reporting it to the Federal Level, so it CAN be incorporated into the NICS system. I didn't decide this, and I don't care how it goes- NICS went into effect in the 1968 GCA - it's NOT OUR CHOICE on NICS, or how we might feel about it with the 2A. That shiit was 50 years ago, many of us were not even born, toddlers, younsters, teens - whatever. It Happened. Done. You can call it an affront to the 2A rights in the constitution, whatever. Just like NFA 1934. We've been living with that ever since - we weren't born. Nobody here was alive when that was enacted. Thank Al Capone for that, thank Reagan for 1986, whatever - these are our laws, and we've lived with them. We survive. "States Rights" is one thing. Crazy, or mentally defective, or metally-whatever, is another thing. States SHOULD be required, by Federal Law, to report their crazy motherfuckers to the Federal Level. IF Statesrefuse to do that, then they need to take this shiit into their own hands, and deal with it themselves. This is not going to stop. It is not going to get better. Statistics on this are not going to go down. These attacks will increase, until some kind of muzzle or handle is put on crazy people. That has nothing to do with gun ownership, gun rights to law abiding citizens, and Freedom in America. It has to do with crazy motherfuckers. If you're not in that category, then you have nothing to worry about...
  23. From that article above. This is Baker Act shiit, men. That's already law. Passed in 1971. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_Mental_Health_Act Here's where the gun laws differ - you guys have seen this form before... Tell me what you see here, in the law for Florida, and in the form...
