  1. When the standard was forged receivers, they actualy made a line of cast receivers, and that's where the problems arose. Air bubbles in the cast receivers caused them to crack, when beat on. The Plinker line was all made from cast receivers to keep the cost down. Lower cost was the whole reason for the cast receivers in the first place. It sucks that they're closing - they made everything - everything! - in house. No one else did that, back then. Outsource this and that, etc. Oly made it all, themselves. That's exactly what my setup is.
  2. Haven't heard of them before, but I'll look at them now - local companies, and all. I like it.
  3. Little fucker tasted great, with gravy.
  4. We need to meet-n-shoot again then!
  5. Jon... You know I've had this exact rifle since last January, right?... It's a year old now... Mounted a Nikon 2~7 P-300BKL scope on it...
  6. Been looking into this one for awhile now... Hmmm...
  7. Just a note, on that. President's Day is coming up, and it's usually Fulton's largest discount of the year, to celebrate the Founding Fathers. You have to be on the mailing list to find out about it, or vigorously check the website to get the info - it's typically 15% off everything they sell. All other sales are 10%. In the past, it doesn't get published until the Friday prior, and only runs through that weekend.
  8. ^^^ He's very eloquent. Loquacious, almost. Well put, Rob.
  9. You must be the one that's confused - you must think that just because the name is "Megalithic," that means it's NOT an AR-15, and cannot possibly be one. Check this out: http://www.megaarms.com/ar-15/upper-receivers/mts-440/ Yep, you fukked with it, now it doesn't work. So, you feel like you need to "warn" everybody on every gun site about it. Seems to me that the real problem is - you don't know what you did, and you can't figure out how to make it work again. I told you in my first post that I could help. However, I don't think there's any helping you, at all... Now, how's that? Please explain...
  10. Keep the insults up, buddy. I was referring to your pic, not what you wrote. You never mentioned a caliber at all in your initial post. AND... Did you fuk with it before you put it in and tried it?...
  11. Now hold on - is that an AR-15 varient, or a .308AR?...
  12. You still didn't answer my primary question - did you leave it alone, install it in the rifle, and try it - or did you fuk with it first?
  13. Payback!...
  14. 'Fraid not, brother...
  15. By the way, OP, I do have one of these triggers, and it has never malfunctioned on me - just in case you ask if I have any practical experience with it, I do.
  16. I'm not sure if you want to solve your issue, or just bitch about it. I can help you solve it. The Elftmann trigger is very unique in that it has a "half-cocked" position. YOUR trigger is not catching on the disconnector after firing, and is getting caught on the half-cocked position. THIS is the cause of your "very light primer strikes." You are firing from the half-cocked position. Not enough force to do much. Now,ONE of TWO things is causing this. Only one of two... Nothing else... 1. Poor trigger follow-through. Jerking the trigger, slapping the trigger, etc. Not holding it fully to the rear after firing, and through the recoil impulse. 2. Gross misadjustment of the trigger assembly. The disconnector isn't even given the change of doing it's job, due to the trigger adjustment. Now, I know you've stated your Marine Corps Armorer 2112 qualifications, and I know you stated something about correct follow-through. That leaves misadjustment... Did you fuk with this trigger's adjustments in ANY way prior to installation? Or did you just drop it in and go?...
  17. DAAAAAAAAAMN!!! Suppressed 45-70!!!
  18. What kind/brand of rail is it?
  19. That's pretty sweet, but that was done by ARES Defense several years ago. Almost bought one, just because it's different.
  20. ^^^ Gun-grabbing politics rarely has anything to do with performance, safety, or function.
  21. Yeah, take the rail off. Might seem like more work, but it's gonna be ALOT easier in the long run.
  22. I'll never let go of my 1911's. I'll add to the pile. With other pistols, of course. I love my 1911's!
  23. I'm kinda mid-weight, running the 150s almost all the time now. I'm getting almost 1900fps out of them. I still have H110 and 1680, so I'll load up some 110s and see how they do.
  24. Makes perfect sense. I was gonna say, if you were saying that here, after finding it's origin, you'd performed some hellish research. Drew started that, in reference to a politician I believe, and stated, "Fuk them in the neck..." It was instantly hilarious, but ultimately shortened over time, to just "in the neck with them!" and then just "in the neck."
  25. BUT... The ATF didn't return 18 lowers to him. They stated "they lost them..." Yes, the BATFE LOST LOWER RECEIVERS...
