  1. Josh, this has come up recently, and I'd like to get your input - if it's at all possible. If there are discolsure issues that would arise from stating any of this information, then I (we) understand, and that would be a perfectly acceptable answer... Seems like the new Fulton Armory barrels are using Armalite gas tubes. This would require a manufacturing change, to accomodate those longer gas tubes. Did that happen, and everything from Fulton is now using the longer Armalite gas tubes? (The .308s, only, it seems - everything else is TDP-spec'd on the AR15s). See below quotes: Any light you could shed on this would defeinitely help answer questions - but don't get into trouble with Clint! :))
  2. I know someone we can ask about this issue - seems like Fulton switched to the Armalite gas tube length for their barrel production, and the barrels would have to be built for that. Let's ask Josh, our Criterion Barrels sponsor... <thumbsup> EDIT - I started a new topic on it here:
  3. Passed everything, was accepted, passed all the interviews and training, and was told to hit the schedule and list when I'd work. Didn't have enough time to meet the hours they wanted, and didn't do much with it. I could probably contact the administrators of that program, and email the training evaluator, and get back in. I just don't know if I'd have the time to commit to it. Everytime I'm surfing the site, that same guy pops up. I want to start chatting, and bring it up... <lmao>
  4. BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!! <lmao>

Turn it sideways and upwards - don't flag anyone to your left. Just sayin'... I do that anyway, able to reach the release or not - better view of the magwell that way. Always do it the same on every pistol, and you'll never miss a reload. Practice, practice, practice...
  6. Rob, I was going to point you towards American Spirit Arms for that pin, but I see you have it handled. CDNN ain't bad - thankfully, you didn't have to turn to CTD...

  10. HE SAID HE WAS GONNA DO IT!!! <lmao> <laughs> :hethan:
  11. Mike, getting busy on the XD-40: Steel divider targets placed at the bases of bushes out here - see if you can find them all... Overall, it was a perfect range day. Well, almost perfect. It would have been great without all that mud, and "floating away" stuff... <lmao>
  12. Jake, working on some kneeling/squating position firing... He's not bad at all... Various bags of hardware:
  13. Had a pretty long pallet at work, so I ripped that thing apart for the 2x4 in it. Had some old shelving units and dividers atr work that were being thrown out, so I took the metal dividers. I had a plan. Steel targets, with frame and stand: This is what the 45-70 does to the steel dividers... Backside of the steel, with a "graze" on top... 5.56 hole, two .308 Win holes, and a 45-70 hole...
  14. Never was an issue for you down there - I know your Sheriff. He signs. <thumbsup>
  15. Every range trip from here on out needs to start like this:
  16. Wow, good thing you guys didn't come out here today and shoot - it was miserable. Mike and I were pushing the little low-riding Nissan 2WD truck out of holes left and right, while Jake was steering - we almost didn't get out. There was mud everywhere, and we actually thought we might have to float out... It was an experience from hell. I don't know how we did it. Here's the worst section of mud that we found - well, that I had time to take a picture of, since we were busy pushing a low-riding 2WD Nissan around... <lmao> Fuckers, making excuses... :fawkdance:
  17. We duct-taped a maxipad to his shoulder for today... <lmao>
  18. We've been bullshitting the whole time, telling stories! We're heading out now, and setting up. Fog should be burned off sometime, and if it's not, we're shooting anyway... <thumbsup>
  19. Ooooohhh, I had a WEIRD FEELING!!! Mike never did confirm or deny whether he was out for this one - he was committed a long time ago, just like alot of guys were. Everyone started dropping last week, with the recent excuses in the last 2 days... Mike is here, chilling. We're waiting for the fog to lift, and we're shooting. Got about at least an hour to wait, so that gives us plenty of time to talk schit about you guys that backed out... <lmao>
  20. Fog right now, waiting for it to burn off... Then I'm slinging lead.
  21. Fullsize truck + small-truck V6 engine = Suck. <lmao> I know you have to hate that thing...
  22. Wore Seiko dive watches for years, still have all of them. The oldest one is from 1987. I wear G-Shocks now, and have killed about a half-dozen of them over the years. The watch never stops working - I rip the band mounts apart, or something similarly ridiculous like that. The first time I broke the schit out of one of the Seiko watches was when I switched over to G-Shock watches. Based on the G-Shock price, I don't care if I kill them. Based on how tough they really are, I don't mind when one of them croaks, and gets ripped apart... <lmao>
  23. You're welcome over here anytime brother. We'd shoot if you come over, just because it would be crazy not to - but you don't have to just come over for a shoot. <thumbsup> Looks like I gotta take the 45-70 Challenge all on my own in the morning. I'll get it on video. Multiple-steel-target engagements.
  24. Damn, that is one good looking rifle, man. <thumbsup>
  25. Yep, leave it on. 80,000 hours of use from the single AA battery. You can pull 500,000 hours of use from it in the Night Vision settings. No schit... <thumbsup>
