  1. Figured since Micro asked for it, I needed to get this info in this thread, too... <thumbsup>
  2. The .22 TCM is one bad little bastard - awesome acquisition. <thumbsup>
  3. I think he planned it that way... <lmao>
  4. I think that was the first AZ Shoot that Rob showed up to - everybody came down to the Sierra Vista Range. The 100-rd drum was gone in under 20 seconds - and that's still with clearing one jam... <lmao> I think that video is in that thread, towards the end of it... Holy Shitz that was a fun range day. :hethan:
  5. Those guys are gonna be pissed next weekend, brother... <lmao> I'm gonna put this on the stock:
  6. This is for those that might doubt whether I dead-centered that bastard the second time... We'll just remove all doubt right now... <lmao> Had 5 more rounds in the Ruger GSR mag, so I had Jake shoot two offhand, with sling, Primary Arms 3MOA red dot - target was the section of zero targets at 50 yards. He shot two, and I shot the other three. I hope I had the ones that were closer to center, or I put two lower left, then jerked another one... <laughs>
  7. Only took a couple rifles out there, and was only there for about 1.5 hours. Just needed to get the sights set on that damn 45-70. Here's the hardware: Set up paper zero targets at 50 yards, just to see where this was at on paper. When I put the sights on, I guessed at elevation , and centered up the windage - I was thinking I'd be close. I shot two, and Jake couldn't find them on paper... I was thinking this was gonna be a long day... Walked out there, and both were in the black. 50 yards, done. Had the steel swinger out at 100 already, so I held center and sent one - knocked the damn target over. It blew the steel target out of the hooks and everything hit the ground - even with rocks stacked on the legs. Never had any hot .30-caliber do that... <laughs> Went down and set everything back up, in order to keep shooting. At 100, holding center, it hit the lower 1/3 on the target. I'll take that. It's pretty easy to see which impact is the 45-70. No doubting that mark... With everything set back up, I resumed shooting. Hit that bastard again, and the whole target came apart again. Back downrange... When I got down there, it was a dead-center hit. This load was 2 for 2 in knocking the damn target over, and I was very happy with the point of impact, so I just brought the target back to the truck. Done shooting... Or so I thought... Decided to load it up again, and start shooting at large rocks at distance. This is how I found out how much drop I had at 300 yards. I was holding over until I got that large rock, too. At 500 yards, it's pretty impressive how much dirt flies. Like Jon said earlier, this thing isn't shooting bullets - it's flinging ingots... <lmao> At 500, the drop had to be about 10 feet. It was nuts. This is the newest beachmaster sling, right here - this one is going on Sexual Chocolate. I'll pick up mounting hardware tomorrow and get pics up Tuesday. Enjoy, men! Can't wait until next weekend... >:D
  8. Shouldn't be - it's unlisted, but not private. With the direct link here, you should be able to view it. Don't know how the damn thing turned itself to Private, but it did. I just fixed it, and it's "unlisted" - should be able to watch the shoulder-pain... <lmao>
  9. Did a trial run on the 45-70 today. I put 20 rounds through it, so I know it can be done. It's got about 5 feet of drop at 300 yards. Here are Jake's first - and only - 2 rounds... <lmao>
  10. Yeah! That's some beautiful Blackout! Right on, brother - not too bad to do once you knock out a few of them, huh? <thumbsup>
  11. I run the KNS pins in the pistol-caliber ARs. Blowback pistol rounds are very hard on hammer pins, and the KNS setup cures that.
  12. Fukk. I meant to start this topic in the Club House, not Politics... <lmao>
  13. Balls. BIG balls.
  14. Nope, not gonna mess with "the weird AR..." <lmao>
  15. There's another quote out there, for you... "Buy once, cry once..." This isn't a cheap hobby, not in the least. Not saying you should look for the most expensive stuff, either. Informing youthat even some mundane parts for this platform can be expensive. Doesn't matter how loquacious you are about it, it doesn't change that...
  16. Don't use the KNS pins in the Geissele triggers - the Geissele pins are much better, anyway. The big ARs use AR-15 safeties, so there's no specific 308 safety out there.
  17. ^^^ Indeed, it is. Price doesn't matter in that determination, also.
  18. Yep, I've got it, and love it. Great Hi-Speed choice, too, because you can adjust lighter (into the upper ranges of the Match) and addjust heavier (into the lower ranges of the Service). Awesome trigger. Mine is in the Mk12 rifle. What safety are you running? I've got the BADASS safety in all my rifles, and no modification was necessary, at all. <thumbsup>
  19. No way, man - he's in for the CMMG with this thread he started. Rules are rules - aware or not...
  20. Turn that router on, and she'll think you're working... <lmao> :hethan:
  21. Sneaky Bastages. I remember now that you mentioned Sexual Chocolate - I need to pick up some mounting hardware that'll be specific to that rifle, and I'll get that sling mounted up! You guys rock. :hethan: Tell Drew that I love him, in a Pants-Down-Hug kinda way. Big time. :love4:
  22. You have a new tool, though. That's always a win. :)) <thumbsup>
  23. Was that for the 150s? That's giving you around 2400fps on that one. Speed that bullet up to 2600fps and your results will change drastically. For the better. 43.3gr of 4064 is listed for 2600fps, and a max charge of 44.9gr or 4064 gets you to 2700fps. That's the max charge listed in the Hornady manual, so you can reference other sources for more powder - I know there are a couple out there that go higher. Be careful with that $hit, though...
  24. That AMAX is a badass projectile. <thumbsup> Don't know what you'll end up with on the 4064, but for the 150 FMJ-BT projectiles, I'm loading 44.0gr of RL-15, and they're working great (.308 Win loadings). You need the Hornady load data numbers on those projos, for 4064?
  25. That 178 AMAX is about the longest bullet that you can buy and still load to magazine length. You'll need a 1:10 twist barrel to get the most from it. 1:11.25 will still give you decent results. The Hornady 178gr BTHP Match projectile has a better BC to it (0.530 versus the AMAX 0.495), so it would do better at longer distances over the AMAX. Less wind drift, less drop at distance.
