  1. Don't complicate $hit with complicated $hit. Build your rifle with a standard gas block and see if the thing functions. If it does, you've removed a complicated part (more than one piece involved) that could cause a problem later down the road, with wear. If you think you need it after you build the rifle, that's another thing altogether.
  2. DPMS type above is still just an AR15 mag release. That's the entire reason you don't take the AR15 mag release to "flush" with the button when putting it in a .308 AR (like you would on a typical AR build). Armalite fixed that for the AR10, and took the time to make it a little longer, and you take the button flush on their part (but not others). Armalite really does go the extra mile on .308 stuff. Their lower receiver parts really are superior for this platform, because of that.
  3. This is the difference between what most people would think is a CNS shot - the brain is the main part of the Central Nervous System, right?! No, it's not. At least, not every part of the brain. When it's headshot time, you cannot count on just any part of the head. That's where the T-Zone comes in (from the front), or the top of their ear (from the side), or directly in the middle of their head (from the rear). You need to fuk up the Medulla Oblongata - the brain stem. Park 'em. <thumbsup>
  4. ^^^ Ares is good stuff, so far. Picked up one of his 5.56 NiB BCGs, and it's good.

  6. He liked his barrel so much that he had to order another one... <lmao>
  7. Jab and weave, jab and weave - love it! <lmao>
  8. Vids, brother, vids. <thumbsup>
  9. The only thing about "stopping power" that I will add is this: You cannot park someone permanently, in the very position where they stand or sit, unless you make a CNS or T-Zone hit. Period. If you do make the CNS or T-Zone hit, they will never, ever move again. If you can't make shots like that on a flat range, you'll never be able to make those shots (intentionally) under stress. Even if you can make those shots on a flat range, you probably won't be able to (intentionally) make them under stress. You need to gain proficiency on the flat range, and hone your skills with stressors included into your training. You might get lucky, though - even a blind monkey finds a banana once in awhile... <lmao>
  10. <lmao> You went there... This is hilarious:
  11. Almost immediately - I $hitcanned that thing from Ruger and installed a Spike's Dynacomp. Giant difference in the shooting of it. That little, light, 16"-barrel .308 bolt gun kicks pretty damn good. Enough that it takes you off target after a shot, and you can't see where/what you hit. It needs a muzzle device change, right from the factory, so plan on doing that right away. It takes a Torx T60 bit to get that damn thing off, and just go ahead and take the action out of the stock and block it into a vise - that Ruger muzzle device is on there pretty damn tight. There's pics of mine with the Dynacomp installed somewhere around this site... I'll be damned if I know where they are, but they're here... <lmao>
  12. VTAC Mk I sling. http://www.vikingtactics.com/product-p/vtac-mk1.htm
  13. Very well put, brother. <thumbsup>
  14. Damn, these things are much better than that damn Army M9 bayonet. Nice find, beach. <thumbsup>
  15. Awesome, brother! <thumbsup>
  16. I can see Drew riding that hideous thing, too... <lmao>
  17. $hit, I missed this. FUK!
  18. I think I picked up my GSR in December 2010 (Nope, 2011). Love that rifle. I put a PA red dot on mine, and that thing is the SHIZNIT out to 400 yards.
  19. An Appleseed Shoot will do wonders for your skillset - seriously. The only rifle support you have in an Appleseed Shoot is the sling that's on the rifle, and your body. When you see yourself improve shooting in the offhand standing position, with only a sling as support, you'll really be feeling good about it. <thumbsup> (Oh, and by that time, you'll be kicking a$s in the sitting, kneeling and prone positions... :)) )
  20. Group size is coming down - keep doing what you're doing. <thumbsup>
  21. He arm-barred the FUK outta that guy! :hethan:
  22. So, you know she'd crush you. Tattoos and all, ice cream all over you,... You know you can't take her. I get it. <thumbsup> I highly doubt you've ever been in the position to severely injure or kill any attacker in any combatives or hand-to-hand engagement. Ever.
  23. Nothing spectacular - that just Nikon service... <thumbsup> Their warranty is no bull$hit. :))
  24. Never did research who Clint McKee was, did ya?
