  1. The best place to obtain the most common files is from CNC Gunsmithing. Justin is one hell of a good guy. http://www.cncguns.com/
  2. NNNNNNIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!!! Looks great!!! :hethan:
  3. I made the comment below VVV, before you made that comment above ^^^... You should research the person I mentioned, and carry that info forward.
  4. Dude, those old air-cooled big 2-strokes were MONSTERS! Eff riding that thing - it'll ride YOU if you give it the chance. Respect 'em, I'm just sayin'... :hail:
  5. SHEPP, THAT WAS AWESOME< MAN!!!! HEEEEEELL YEAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!! :hethan: Hell yeah, I know! It's been getting down to 68 and 69 at night here lately!!! <lmao>
  6. I would think Ron R2 would be in on something like this, too. Where the hell is he at right now?... <lmao>
  7. Here's a Blackthorne rifle for ya, OP - first shot ever from this rifle. Watch the vid. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=963_1392257627 Embedded the bolt in the guy's neck or shoulder. That's a confidence builder in the brand, if I ever saw one. True testament to the quality of the $hit they offer, too. Get some!
  8. You should stick with the first one that you made, by timestamp, titled "Black thorn 7.62x51" This thread should be locked.
  9. You bought a Blackthorne/Vulcan/Hesse. Your troubles will never end. You started 3 topics about this thing. Pick one topic and stick with it. Even sticking with one topic will not solve your problems, though.
  10. You know I'm getting a case from you - but I still think you're crazy for being afraid to cut some brass down, man... <outtahere>
  11. You really get to monitor the accuracy of each one, on that progressive - don't ya? They're ALL match rounds, ain't they?...
  12. ^^^ That's a steal. Grab every piece that seller still has available. Seriously. About 1.5 years ago, I got lucky on some Hornady Match brass, and I think it was 0.20 per. I grabbed 1k of it. It was on here, too - I need to track down who I bought it from. Sold 200 of them to a Border Patrol friend, and offered it to him for what I bought it for - he refused, and gave me 0.40 per. The other 800 are loaded, and saved for a rainy day. <thumbsup>
  13. Very well worth buying - if you find a lot of it, buy the entire lot. (not like "alot" meaning many - "a lot," as in an entire production run... <lmao>)
  14. Proper breakin isn't gonna cure what ails a Blackthorne/Vulcan/Hesse setup. It just isn't OP, see my post in your other thread...
  15. ^^^ Their stuff is nice. Built up a 5.56 set for a friend - tightest barrel fit to a 5.56 upper I've ever seen. Took some persuasion to fully seat that barrel, but it's in there and never moving - and that upper is accurate as all hell. <thumbsup>
  16. Yes, thicker case walls, and base around the primer. I have cut-brass pics somewhere on this site. That's the reason I told you 43.0 grains with LC brass. Alliant will probably tell you - from a lawyered-up, safety aspect, not to load 175s with RL15, because that doesn't exist in their load manual. Don't be surprised if you get that response. I'm curious to see what they say, though. <thumbsup>
  17. There's a metric $hit-ton of info out there - with pics - on the AP M4E1 version - the 5.56 gun. Look into it if the concept doesn't click with you right away. That upper can run their (different versions of) rails, and the Seekins/Spikes BAR and SAR rails. More details here: http://aeroprecisionusa.com//aspx/product/m4e1upper.aspx?categoryid=6
  18. The HF 2" mini chop saw IS THE $HIT! Picked that one up in-store on sale for about $20. That little thing is perfect for cutting down 5.56 for 300BLK. This is the one: http://www.harborfreight.com/2-in-bench-top-cut-off-saw-61900.html
  19. Or even the RCBS Full Length Die Set - you can taper crimp with those, as another function after the seating process. The RCBS AR Series dies have the crimp function built straight into the seating die - once the ram fully seats the projo, it crimps it right then. One and done.
  20. OP, cut your losses and just sell it on the local CraigsList or local Backpage. Dump it and move on to something else. Nobody here can possibly diagnose the amount of $hit you're going to go through with that contraption. Research below - click that and read up. https://www.google.com/search?q=Blackthorn+Vulcan+Hesse&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=nts
  21. You'll find RL15 numbers that run up to 45.0gr for the 168gr projo. That gets reduced a little when you run a 175gr projo. <thumbsup>
  22. If it's ALL Fulton Armory parts, then just call is the Fulton FAR-308, or the Fulton Armory Titan. Same thing. It's 100% DPMS-based, completely, even when it come directly from Fulton Armory as a full rifle.
  23. Clint McKee would probably disagree with you on that. I'm just sayin'.
  24. Mike, that is FANTASTIC, brother!!! :hail: As I read that, I was gonna ask you how you got him out - but you and DNP both beat me to it... <laughs>
  25. Hodgdon lists it on their reloading website, and so does handloads.com. 175 grain projos for the 308 Win cartridge. You can also download the 2014 Alliant Reloader's Guide directly from their website, getting 308 Win RL15 powder charge weight, right there. Watch it very, very closely - if you look at it, you'll see what I'm talking about. Check that data closely, Ed, and go back and look at what I told you before, for a load. Compare what you find with what I told you. <thumbsup>
