  1. I left the set screws in there when drilling for the pin - then left the set screws in there after pinning, and put the FFHG back on. That barrel shoots the lights out, and it's obvious that the set screws weren't doing anything to the accuracy. Our new F Class buddy will probably tell us different, since he knows everything about F Class, which directly translates over to 14.5"-length-barrel 300BLK rifles. Time will tell. <dontknow>
  2. DUDE!!! This thing weighs THREE POUNDS?!
  3. Thanks for that enlightening tidbit of information, Pegasus. Please answer this question for me though - if you're constricted to a certain diameter (say .308") then a fucking HEAVIER bullet would be a LONGER bullet, would it not?! Construction being similar, and not talking about Tungsten here. A full metal jacket boat tail bullet that's 150gr is SHORTER than a full metal jacket boat tail bullet that is 180gr - in .308" bullet. Tell me that's wrong information. You're another F-Class jackass that has showed up here, and you want to school everybody on what you think you know. Why don't you shut your mouth for a minute and try to learn something here? I can answer why you probably will not do that - you're already smarter than the rest of the class. If that's the route that you want to take, then just take your ass to the door.
  4. Hey Pegasus - you have alot of $hit to learn. It's pretty damn obvious that you think you already know everything about long range shooting, and your mind is closed. Open up your mind, and shut your mouth a little. You might be surprised at the results.
  5. Or, brass quality - as I found out on my 300BLK loadings.
  6. Gibbs, I noticed in your "online timeline" that you turned into "Gibbs" not long after your Amazon review of one of the NCIS offerings on Amazon. You actually made that review as "Frost." What's the significance of "Frost?"
  7. ^^^ Does it scare any of you other guys how Adam has kinda blended right in?... <dontknow> I don't think Adam has fully realized what he has done to HIMSELF, here... <lmao>

Turbo'd one of those, using a rising rate EFI program. It was RIDICULOUS! RIder went to the dragstrip and consistently pulled 10.1s and 10.2s, around 138~139 - with the saddlebags on... He was convinced by the people to take the bags off. high 9.9s at 143... <laughs> ON A CONCOURS!!! <lmao> That thing raged... :hethan:
  9. That is one SAH-WEEEEET looking scooter!!! :hail: Kicking 200psi is no joke. If your technique sucks, it's NEVER gonna start!!! <lmao> I love it, brother. All motorcycles should be kickstart - and if you can't start it, then you can't ride it. For dirt $hit, and on a 2-stroke, 180psi is the limit for premium pump gas. Over 180psi and you need to start mixing high octane race gas. Over 220psi and it's straight race gas. 4-stroke $hit is different and based off compression ratios, but cylinder psi still has something to do with it. It's just that 4-stroke guys never stayed with the compression numbers. Car compression ratios are "the same but different," and use different calculations. Static compression versus dynamic compression. I've literally written articles on this $hit in the past, for 4-strokes. Couldn't find the information online - and it's STILL not online. I got pissed and wrote it up myself. I'll post that for you guys if you want, but it won't be public, if you know what I mean. Lemme know. <thumbsup>
  10. It's too late already. You've done it to yourself, and it was before this thread.
  11. Stock shows up today. Called Timney - didn't know they were right here in the city. They're assembling my 517 trigger, setting it for 2.5lbs, and it'll be ready for pickup anytime after 12pm today... Sweet!!!
  12. YEEEESSSSS!!! Trick question! Now we know he's got money!... <thumbsup> <laughs>
  13. You get to keep the upper that's in your hands right now?
  14. That's a DAMN GOOD START, brother! NICE!
  15. No pliers at all - just went with the roll pin punch of the appropriate size. The coil pin is tapered somewhat on the ends, and the pilot hole on the gasblock, even after drilling, has a little taper - it went in easy. Roll pin punch, smack it with a hammer, done. Dirk, I'll do another one with the drill - - I just need another build first. Short 300BLK is probably the next one on the build list, so I'll put this gasblock on that one when the time comes. It wasn't that bad, really. <thumbsup>
  16. Gibbs, you just talked alot of $hit, and completely avoided what I said. Please address this: Also, WTF happened to your chickens? You can shoot a coyote at 335 yards, but a coyote wiped out your chicken coop? If you were killing coyotes at 335 yards, how the hell did they work up the nerve to almost get in your house? I think you're a fraud. I think your target group pics are bull$hit.
  17. There's a pretty good forum out there, too, and I'm positive that guys there have used the UMAR - Olympic Arms Owner's Association: http://www.oa2.org/Forum/
  18. We may not be able to help you get sub-MOA, but we'll damn sure help you spend your money. That's a GIVEN in the equation... <lmao>
  19. Oh, SNAP!!! I forgot about that!!! He's killing coyotes at 335 yards in the back yard!!! Now, if he's doing that, then how the hell did all his chickens get hit by a coyote? This is off his own webpage!!! <lmao> http://scottieluvr.com/galeria_de_jenewein/MyHouse/slides/House_092010_05M.html In case that pic disappears from his webpage... I have the fullsize version saved.
  20. PINNED! Okay, where do we start here?... Been shooting this rifle for awhile, built it and blasted it, ripped it down for paint, rebuilt it and blasted it... and got back to finishing the gas block tonight. Get your rifle ready to pin. You'll be drilling a barrel. All I had to do on this one was get the FFHG off. Here's what we need to work on - the Geissele Super Gas Block has the pilot hole ready for you - you just gotta drill that thing out with a 3/16" drill bit, and cut that barrel straight through. Gawd Dayum, this thing is SEXY!!! :yup: Geissele instructions: One interesting thing they say - you cannot do this with a handheld drill - gotta use a drill press or something similar, but a handheld drill isn't gonna work. We're about to test that theory, right now... DONE!!! The key is to go slow, use lube, and just work your way all the way through. Baby steps. All we have left is to beat the piss out of the coil pin and call it done... This right here is the easiest pinned gas block I've ever done. I will never use anything else on other rifles that are 16" barrels. Pinned 14.5 barrels are another story. This gasblock is the goods. <thumbsup>
  21. Gibbs, I like how you went back and edited your first post - so others that read this in the future won't think you're an idiot. Too late, man. I just find this very hard to believe - even being new to the AR platform - based on the target pics you post. You HAVE to know what you're doing in order to pull the groups that you post pictures of. Now, on that note, I don't think you pull the groups you say you do. Post a vid of you shooting that $hit, walk to the target, and zoom your a$s in on it. I think you're a complete fraud. Calling you on that right now. Let's see what you do. Maybe you'll disappear, like you said you would earlier. Show me your groups that you claim, and show the real distance that they're shot at - vid doesn't lie.
  22. Oh, that's just the beginning, Adam. Just the beginning. Wait until you show up at a shoot with us...
  23. BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!! <lmao> <laughs> I had NOT heard his name before, and wasn't interested in one of Gibbs' "friends." However, I just looked this up, and I'm busting a gut over here... :sign10: :sign10: http://www.anthonyhereld.com/buyer-beware-ken-rockwell/ Gibbs, I don't even know what to think of you... :yup:
  24. PInning it today, after a house inspection at 3pm. Once I get those idiots out of here, I'll break it down and get it done. Pics will be posted.
  25. Don't have a preference reallty, but I don't hesitate in using the set-screw gas blocks. I just stake the screws. I guess I do have a preference now - only used this one time, but I'll be using them for everything in the future - Geissele Super Gas Block. http://geissele.com/super-gas-block.html More details of it in this thread:
