Well... I dont think that I would use the khuk to bash skulls. With the khuk I like the alternative;-)

I dont want to derail anyone here, when I get this bad boy, I will give yall an ear full! Whether you want it or not ;-)

Back on the topic of twin hawks, I LOVE this company. And i heard someone on here talking about the trapper hatchet. Since I owned one, let me tell you...

GET

IT

to be honest, I sold mine this weekend, and if I knew that there was any interest here I would have let yall know. But I have a secret coming in that allowed me to sell it, dont worry ;-)

If you want a nice small axe, but $ is a little cheap, a more affordable handmade option is ragweed forge. He is worth checking out, and is a great guy. He is also the guy to go to if you want a Mora.

They are Viking style, but serve the same purpose:-)

I LOVE twin hawks products!

I few years ago I bought their trapper single bit hatchet from the makers brother at a preppers convention in Nashville (that was AWESOME btw)

(Along with quite a few knives)

I thought that i would never get rid of it, but sold it today for THIS

That Kukri looks fantastic!

I've been wanting one for around camp for awhile. Never seen any like that!

How do you bash skulls or drive a tent peg with that thing lol ....

With the pommel on the handle (of the original)...or (for skull only) with the spine of the 1/4" blade.

Those little Gurkhas know a thing or two about skull bashing.

I've been looking at hawks recently. 2hawks site is down at the moment. I want a hawk with a hammer on the back end.

I looked at the RMJ hawks, but they're way out of my price range.

I read that the CRKT Woods Chogan was designed by Ryan Johnson of RMJ. It has about 99% of what I'm looking for.

A Colorado blacksmith is dabbling in hawks and axes now. His company, Dark Timber Knives, is supposedly releasing their first model this summer.

Ok folks if you are in the market for a awesome hawk for throwing, fighting, camping whatever this is the place to get them I have one of his hawks and it is the finest i have ever used or had ... not cheap but will last a lifetime....

the model I have is the {long Hunter}

P.S. he offers a 10 % military discount and he makes them for our brothers who are in harms way.....

Finally a better quality and affordable hawk from a US hawk maker.  Much, Much better than those attempts that come out of India, Pakistan, and China.   <thumbsup>

I'm very tempted to get the 2hawks LongHunter 'hawk. The price is on point for me and the design is similar to what I was looking for.

The CRKT Chogan is even more affordable and has nearly the same attractive features. It's a bit bigger than the 2hawk version, but not too much bigger.

I'm still holding out to see what Dark Timber makes. If his axe is anywhere near the price of his knives, I may get pushed away again... but damn his stuff looks good.

I have to agree that both look great but the Longhunter lakes the field on this one.  Price is very reasonable for such items that are quality made these days.

I'm with you on this one. I may have to "back burner" the idea of a tomahawk for a bit. Having newborn twins and a 2yo eats the budget. Don't know if I can justify a 2hawk right now.
