DNP Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Placing this here for visibility reasons. Not as many people frequent the optics or the sales sections. Followed the link to Impact Guns from the main forum page. They have the 512 for $364 plus shipping right now. Anyone seen that cheaper lately? Seems like a pretty fair deal. Follow the link if anyone goes to purchase.
98Z5V Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 That's a smokin' deal on that sight. Snatch that while it's still there. I nailed mine in 2010 at the Ft Belvoir PX for a little cheaper - but EOTech was having an instant counter rebate then, and the PX doesn't charge sales tax. I've honestly never seen a 512 cheaper than that, brother.
planeflyer21 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Chief Supply had them at 25% off, which is when I got my second Eotech 512. Ended up being $334 with shipping. But it took 4 months to ship.
Robocop1051 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 The 512 is one of the best models they make.
blue109 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 I was planning on selling my little armasight reflex to fund another 512. already got the QD lever for it. I've tried different RDS and always come back to eotech.
planeflyer21 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 I got the GG&G QD for both and their lens cover/sunshade on Liberty's 512. Need to get that cover for the other one.
blue109 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 so happens I have a cover I pulled off mine. all yours buddy.
FaRKle! Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) I guess I'm the only one who's had mixed experiences with EOTech's AA line of sights?I had a 552 and went through drained batteries while off and oxidized contacts. No good.XPS/EXPS or bust! Edited January 26, 2015 by FaRKle!

I had a 552 and went through drained batteries while off and oxidized contacts. No good. XPS/EXPS or bust! I think you got a bunk 552. Remember that 512 you found for me on LightFighter? It ran on the same Li AA batteries for 2 years... My brother in law stole it from me, replaced the batteries with the same, and it's still running the same... That's been about 5 years, and it's maybe on the 3rd or 4th set of batteries. I agree though.... The XPS and EXPS are phenominal systems.
blue109 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 my 511 murdered batteries. used those N types. got rid of it. never an issue with the 512
planeflyer21 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 so happens I have a cover I pulled off mine. all yours buddy. Thanks brother blue! The batteries initially installed didn't last very long. Put in some Energizer AA. Those died soon. Then put in some Duracell, with some spares in the rifle case. Been going for a year now. The key is to carry spare batteries, then you'll never need them.
blue109 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) I bought a bunch of energizer lithium AAs on black Friday. bestbuy had them pretty cheap. 2 in the sight. 2 in the grip. 2 in the stock. ought to be GTG for a while. I think its rated for 1000 hours on lithium. Edited January 26, 2015 by blue109
Rsquared Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 I've still got the original batts (2 years) in one of my 553's that I have on my OSW (FAL). But I also don't run that one very often.
