Dang purdy rifle if ya ask me.  I like FDE, and NOBODY gets it the same color.  Who cares?  Nice job!

How the hell do you keep your workbench so neat?  Mine's a damn mess!   <lmao>

Yeah, this FDE thing is interesting to say the least. My latest is a half-and-half in black and FDE, and the FDE parts don't match.  I hosed some of the parts down with a can of Durakote, which got "some of the parts partly matched".  Probably the only way to get it all to match is to hose it all down with the same brand of finish.  Personally, I think your rifle looks fine, but I'm not all wound up in getting a perfect match.

I was scouring the web looking at onesy twosy comparisons of colors. There was one post (that i have promptly lost) of a bunch (like 6 or 8) paint swatches on two different plates comparing the FDE's, tans, and sands.  I was just trying to point things out when I find them. I don't have a lot of faith in the Acrylic for staying power either.

Do not get me wrong I love this gun. I made it. It had to have some parts on it damn the color match. Like the CAA pistol grip. Since I was able to shoot so much better on my Franken AR-15 with a the one I put on it, I wanted one for the 308AR.
