Which of these "pistols" would you buy & why?

I haven't been able to get my hands on the Zenith weapons. Heading down to Rainier Arms to fondle the CZ Scorpion tomorrow. Ya know, sometimes living so close to that place is both a blessing & a curse!

I am kind of leaning towards the Z5p...already already asked my FFL what price he can get it to me for...we'll see what he says.

I bought this CZ knockoff:  .40 EAA Witness 10 shot magazine, there is also a .45 ACP version.

It isn't a Colt 1911 Commander but shoots smooth, The slide is a bit harder to open than a Colt.

I like the fact that it can be carried cocked and locked, works either single action or double action. It comes out of my Alien Gear holster really smooth.

Colin noir did a review on the scorpion and loved it! Not sure of the others?

Not sure if batfe is approving any sbr paper work for Wa!? Cans are ok though.

Sketch, just got back from Rainier Arms and confirmed you can still do SBRs in WA. Problem is that ATF is not approving Form 1s until or unless the state clarifies the ability for individuals to "make" them.

So for now, you can xfer the weapon to the Rainier Arms, have them "build it" , fill out a form 2, then xfer back to you and  viola, you have your legal SBR.

Also, while I was there got to handle the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 & have decided it's not for me. I also handled the Sig Sauer MPX and liked that a lot. I'm still pretty sure I'll get the Z5p or Z5rs but that Sig sure did feel good.

ATF Form 4, brother.  5320.4.

Rainier would have to fill out and submit a Form 2 to manufacture it.  You have to fill out and submit, and get approved on a Form 4, to get it back.

Thanks for the clarification brother...we need to keep poop wired tight around here and make sure the right info gets out to people.

Also, I decided to buy the Zenith Z5p. Put my deposit down and should have it in hand within the next two weeks if all goes well. Ya know, sometimes you just have to say WTF and jump!

  • 3 weeks later...

Well fellas, my new pistol arrived. I know it's a stock picture but only have cell phone with me right now. Haven't taken her out to the range but that should happen some time this week I hope. I plan on SBRing it.

Little less than desirable interaction with the store that I got it from but I got it finally.

Haha looks like the case is cut for a flask! Must be the cleaning kit?

let er rip bro!

Sketch I think that is the handle for the case

I think Sketch was talking about the green "box looking thing" located in the lower left corner of the pic...and yes, that's the cleaning kit...and yes a flask would fit there nicely if you were so inclined.
