edgecrusher Posted September 14, 2011 Author Report Posted September 14, 2011 ok gents, for the moment you've all been waiting for. i think that robo is half right, it almost looks to be part of the brake though, like it is a sleeve. the qd can is supposed to slide on and there is a twist mechanism to lock it in place and i believe it has to do with that. the first one is from the left side, if you click on the pic to enlarge you can see what i mean by it being a sleeve of sorts. then we have top, bottom, and 3/4 right side. what do you got for me, because now inquiring minds want know. btw, for those who don't know, i don't have the can, not legal in mass, bastards >:(
alelks Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 BINGO!I sent Larue an email and within 30 minutes here is the answer: That is how we used to pin and weld muzzle devices but we no longer use that method. GREAT customer service from Larue. <thumbsup>
edgecrusher Posted September 14, 2011 Author Report Posted September 14, 2011 four orders from them and nary a problem. so now that i know that is seems to be a clamp for a sleeve that is welded, keeping the break from being changed? if i were to cut the clamp, i could theorheticly change it? i don't plan on it, but just trying to figure the mechanics of it out
edgecrusher Posted October 10, 2013 Author Report Posted October 10, 2013 (edited) Well, it's been a while, did some stuff, but the only one a perceptive eye would notice is the KAC 45* offset buis. Here she is in all her glory (hole! Hah, sorry 12% beer tonight!) Edited October 10, 2013 by edgecrusher
Rsquared Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 That is still one bad-assed rifle brother. Me LIKE!
Matt.Cross Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 How do the PRS and the angled sights get along? Good looking rifle brother!
edgecrusher Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 I haven't done the sighting in yet, but in shadow ops basement training….. transition isn't all that bad. For me, it's like a transition drill from prone to standing, moving the rifle into position as I get up. I like them, they fold nice and tight against the rifle, and are easy sights to acquire when deployed
