Sometimes in life it just smacks you in the face how small and insignificant we really are I had a moment like that this summer while fighting fires at night on a back burn this picture is NOT me but it is  almost the  exact same scenario as I was in a fire uphill in a horse shoe canyon burning down hill at me ... makes you realize what is really important .....

A lot of folks don't realize the danger forest fire fighters put themselves in fighting these fires! Schit can go bad at a moments notice. My hat is off to anyone that does this!

That is a young man's game, much respect to you Magwa!

That is a moment when one realizes that forces have been unleashed that are difficult to comprehend, and what is in front of you can snuff you out in a second. My moment came in a,gale on Lake Superior I had no business being out in, with no help within 40 miles.  I realized I was a very small piece in a very large storm. Ever see the movie "A perfect storm?"

That now affects me worse than any horror show, and always will. Yeah I think I know what you are talking about.

Yep you do understand it is hard to put into words, maybe we only have these moments later in life after we really know a little something,...lol but yes you do see that we are a small part of the whole yet when we band together we are a force to be reckoned with and yet that force is just a grain of sand ... it was not the fire I feared it was the magnificence of it .
