Rsquared Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) Ed's already a good shooter...the bipod was really only to make sure R2 could hit paper at 100 yards with that .338 LM. Gotta keep it relative to the rifle though. $5k rifle =$700 bipod. $600 rifle = $80 bipod And Shepp, I would have to check the records....but I'm pretty sure you kicked in. I was expecting a response like that. After all.....100 yards is pretty far. laughingAnd Shepp knows that I was only ball busting. I believe that you know one or two things about that. still laughingOh....and for the record. The MRAD was 6k. It still hurts thinking about it......in more than one place. Cali_Ed Posted December 16, 2015 Author Report Posted December 16, 2015 Might get the Caldwell premium chronograph it's 99 over at midway comes with everything. Or should I save up for the one that's barrel mounted?
Cali_Ed Posted December 16, 2015 Author Report Posted December 16, 2015 Could still get a muzzle brake...
blue109 Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 It still hurts me thinking you spent $700 on a bipod!
Cali_Ed Posted December 18, 2015 Author Report Posted December 18, 2015 Orderd a timney flat trigger for 107 should get it next week
StainTrain Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 Might get the Caldwell premium chronograph it's 99 over at midway comes with everything. Or should I save up for the one that's barrel mounted?Get the Magneto Speed V3. Extremely easy to use, accurate and fits every rifle you own or will own....
StainTrain Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 Thanks guysNo kidding. That is sharp work. Was that a one time Cali Ed price? I have a bolt itching to be threaded.
StainTrain Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 Cali, I am running various stocks and chassis on the bolt guns I use in matches. I would take a good look at the MDT LSS-XL. I run my suppressed 308 action in it. I have their adjustable stock and it runs like a dream. If you don't like the chassis, then Manners and McMillian are impossible to beat. I have had good look with Bell & Calson, too.....

I like that the mdt offers flat dark earth though. Do you have pictures of the mdt brother stain?

Cali_Ed Posted December 19, 2015 Author Report Posted December 19, 2015 Got this in the mail today kind of related to my rifle build. Needed this so I can torque the screws correctly. 31 dollars over at amazon
Cali_Ed Posted December 22, 2015 Author Report Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) Small update , installed the scope base. Was a breeze with the fat wrench. No need for bedding. From what I could see. I might throw the rings on there but I saw no point at this point. Edited December 22, 2015 by Cali_Ed

I would just save till you got enough, tax season is just around the corner
jtallen83 Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Rather sell a kidney than a gun myself...........except maybe that jam-o-matic P716 I have :-(

blue109 Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Had a rough year. Sold my Fulton 308, but I sold it to a family member so it didn't go far( actually, it hasn't even left my house yet) The dissy might be up on the chopping block as well.
