No marks that I can tell, posted a pic for reference. Gas port on barrel is measuring .0781 I don't know how exact that is but a 5/64 bit fits extremely snug.

UPDATE*

Drilled gas port out to .090 and it ate all re match grade ammo and the cheap 149 grain federal. It was raining rather hard so I only loaded /3 mags with 3 rounds a piece and bolt locked back on each one. 100% success rate.

I am hesitate to say it's fixed but till next range trip it would appear as if it is.

Damn xcaliber ....good thing your gas port sizes are such a closely guarded industry secret! I'd hate for any other barrel makers to stumble across them and try them out.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think what the deal is....the port sizes are so closely guarded that they cant look at the data to drill em out .....one more time...beware of the vendor that pimps their stuff on ebay....especially gun stuff and double that on barrels     shot in the foot smiley         Wash

LOL Maybe they should take a little insight from the people on this forum so it would all work the first time.

Thanks everyone for the help and pointers.

Made it allot easier diagnosing what was wrong!

LOL now that's funny but honestly the quality of the barrels are not to bad. You would think barrel manufactures would go a little bigger on there port sizes to make sure stuff like this don't happen.

What does to big of a port effect? My gun felt a little smoother with it opened up and the shells weren't ejecting huge distances (just a few feet) so I'm guessing it's not over gassed now.

I am having the same issue (kinda) I have an aero lower using there tune, buffer, and spring. A 14.5 ballistic advantage barrel (carbine gas) seekins adjustable gas block.  I think mine may be over cycling?  Bolt will not lock back on empty mag. If I hold the bolt catch in the catch position the bolt will catch every time.  It ejects every round but doesnt pick up the next one.  I have tried different magazines.  The bolt is also leaving dents in the back of my lower.  Any ideas?  I am also running a saker brake. I am sure that adds more back pressure.

Read what survivalshop said on the first page last post. Sounds like he will be able to help you/your problem is in the buffer tube and accessories. Maybe he will chime in later to get you on the right track.

Looks like X-caliber has a one size fits all approach to gas ports, that pretty close to where mine started life.

Looking forward to seeing how yours groups, mine spreads a bit when the heat is on.
