Thresher61 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Just wondering why dosn't everyone pull their ads when an item is sold m. Sure would save slot of time reading the ad and come down to sold mixed into the conversation. I m just asking not smacking to get plucked and cooked
blue109 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 We can't delete ads, but the mod are pretty good about locking them as soon as they are marked sold.
jtallen83 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Wonder if they could delete sold ads? I wouldn't mind the info on my old sales or purchases disappearing and it would make finding the unsold stuff easier.
shepp Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 If they're locked they're sold, so I've just never read the locked threads. Honestly we really don't have a whole lot of traffic in here so I've never personally seen it as an issue. As for locking as aposed to deleting idk why I just have gone with the flow of the mods prior to me locking it up
Matt.Cross Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Honestly, it's a solution to something that's never been a problem. We kept BST transactions in case there was ever a dispute. It's Robocop's call, but I'd say any locked thread older than 6 months should be OK to delete.
98Z5V Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Keeping them lets you search back on a member's items for sale, over the long term. One useful benefit of not deleting them. Some guys sell some serious nice stuff in here, and it's beneficial to be able and go back and see what they've cleared out in the past.
blue109 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Some sites keep them around as a price reference as well.
Madhouse Posted October 20, 2016 Report Posted October 20, 2016 That's correct, the ads stay for reference.
