planeflyer21
This would be a pretty cool accessory, if I had a Garand. One of you Garand guys needs to get one and bring it to the Arizona meetup in December.

survivalshop
Nice , but looking at the Barrel & Gas assembly flop around in that one slow motion shot , I'll pass on subjecting my M1 to it , you'all have fun using yours

Seriously, look at all their (or anyone else's) other slow motion shooting videos. Anything longer than a duty pistol flexes like hell. mineralman55
Not with my Garands. First time I ever saw a shoulder-launched M1 rifle grenade. Always saw it fired with the rifle butt braced against the ground. Edited October 25, 2016 by mineralman55

mrmackc
I had a complete rifle granade kit with a special sight and the launcher I found at a army surplus store in the 1960s. It also had the special gas valve that replaced the screw in plug in older M1 rifles. M1s we had in the armoury in the1960s came with the gas cylinder plug. The rifle grenades I saw included a special blank round packaged with the garnade. When I was in B company at ITR in Pendleton we all had our web slings marked for shooting granades the rifle butt set on the ground and used the left foot on the sling to get the max distance for the launch (rifle was at about a 45 degree angle for max range and to clear obstacles.
