98Z5V
300blk for me. I'll never run out of ammo, ever. I can always find pick-up 5.56 brass to convert. Reloading x39 Berdan-primed cases is next to impossible.
ARTrooper
300 blackout for me also... and I would just take rounds from 98 that he loaded using 5.56 brass. :P

Thought about it too, pricy tho...
beachmaster
Shoot steel case 7.62/39, reload, repeat. If you keep your eye out for 22, and it can be found at good prices still. It'll go back down in price when people stop buying it at stupid prices.
Robocop1051
Speaking of the .17WSM... I'm very tempted to make a California exempt rifle and trying to market it out here. The only issue I'm running into the EXTREME price of the magazines. Makes me wonder if I can make my own... maybe an insert for a standard mag, kinda like Colt did for their .22lr conversion. I have ten of the Colt 20rd mags converted into 10rd .22lr mags.
Magwa
I agree with 300 BO 223 brass is everywhere and it is brass easy to reload and 30 cal bullets are everywhere screw the ruskie stuff.... and besides I can shoot subs or sonic and it works with my Can, and yeah I already have one ...... So the access of brass would be the most important factor, 300blk wins because .223rem is everywhere in the USA. Making it cheap to shoot. That right there! I have an AK in 7.62X39 and a couple of 300 Blackouts. I'll take the 300 Blk. over the 39 any day. Like Mike said, .223 brass is cheap as hell and can be found anywhere and it's easy as all getout to make the 300 brass. Most of the 39 ammo is Berdan primed and very difficult to reload. You can load the 300 with anything from 110 gr. to 240 gr. 30 cal. bullets and there's a whole bunch of different powders that will work. The way I look at it is if you're serious about being prepped for the Walking Dead apocalypse you will already be set up to reload, and not relying on what MIGHT be found in a scrounging situation as far as loaded ammo! in the reloading aspect, 300 has the 39 beat no matter which way you look at it! And Wash, I'll bet I can load a 125 gr. 300 round that will roll hogs every bit as good as that Russian stuff!
