survivalshop
Still feared , not a fully correct statement , but it should be . http://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/the-1911-semiautomatic-pistol-why-americas-enemies-still-19218
AnOldBiker
I still believe everyone would load their pants when looking down the barrel with someone pissed at you holding the grips. But everything is due over time ... to change. I carried the M60 when humping the fields in Nam and compared to the M16, I didn't minded the extra weight of the weapon or ammo. But eventually we have the present day SAW. And in time their new choice of the SIG and the SAW will bow to something else. Weight, capacity and personal demands will bring this on. But there will be always be the 1911 somewhere doing it's thing .. protecting it's owner.
Sisco
It's all about what you are trained in and what you are proficient in. The 1911 still feels good on the hip and in the hand.I have been shooting one since I was 12 and always will have one to shoot.
98Z5V
I'll never let go of my 1911's. I'll add to the pile. With other pistols, of course. I love my 1911's!

Magwa
My 1911 makes me a surgeon when firing a pistol something about it just fits me just pick it up and point it and it is like magic it is pointed right where you want it , it will always be my go to pistol.... now I have the FNX45 tactical and I am liking it but it has a much thicker grip but still a new age pistol will see how I like it a year from now..... FN designed the grip angle to be exactly the same as a 1911. Have you tried changing the backstrap inserts yet?
