Sisco
I have ordered a large pin single stage trigger from Tsunami Arms, based in Fountain Hills Arizona, for my old HBAR. Has anybody had experience with them? As it doesn't get used that much, I had trouble justifying $300 for a Geissele large pin. This was $135 for a 3.5 pound pull weight drop in. What little I have seen is positive, but any first hand experience would be good to know. Edited February 3, 2017 by Sisco
98Z5V
Haven't heard of them before, but I'll look at them now - local companies, and all. I like it.
Sisco
As the rule applies I will do a write up on it this spring when I can get out to the range again.

jtallen83
Looks like a dead ringer for the Rough Justice trigger that mech Armor was selling.
Sisco
Might be. I wasn't in the market for a trigger except for a large pin model, so I haven't been perusing them except sporadically. I will have to check it out.

I believe the same manufacturer makes these FCG's for several companies ( which Mossberg on behalf of CMC are suing for royalties ) , including MechArmor .Its nice you found a Large Pin Model . blue109
I'd bet money it's a velocity....Which I'd consider a good thing. I love that trigger.
MikedaddyH
I've heard of them. One of Dane's customer's bought something from them. Don't remember what.
Sisco
Going to put it in this week. Couldn't find my punch set so I picked one up today. If it works well in the Colt I am going to get another for an Oly Arms AR15 I am modding. Ran into a bargain bin closeout that had a picatinny rail hand guard, a collapsable stock and a carbine buffer in it. $40 later I can dress up my old Plinker Plus! A better trigger would round it out.
Sisco
Ran into an issue with putting in the new drop in trigger. Starting in 1989-90 Colt started installing a sear block in their receivers that precludes putting in a drop in trigger. After looking at the amount of dremeling needed, I decided to let my LGS guy, a former Marine Armorer, do it. He is good and knows the platform. it is an odd set up in that there is a single sided pin on the right side of the receiver and no way to relieve tension on it. Will let you know how it turns out. survivalshop
The full auto block was installed in Colt AR 15 Receivers to keep them from being easily converted to full auto or select fire or basically to keep select fire components from being used . 98Z5V
^^^ That was part of Colt's "self-imposed ban," wasn't it? Along with larger trigger/hammer pins, and different pivot/takedown pins?

Along with larger trigger/hammer pins, and different pivot/takedown pins? Yes it was. Apparently the metal block is not government mandated. I have a "blue box" model sans bayonet and with the block. Unfortunately it also is impossible to put a drop in trigger in there without some work. There is quite a lot of information available on the web about it. I was more worried about staying legal than anything. As long as it was self imposed by Colt, I am okay.
Sisco
Trigger is in! My LGS guy had to dremel the one sided pin, then it popped right out. The pin just held it by pressure against the inside of the lower receiver. New trigger dropped right in. Came with antirotation pins for whatever reason. The pull is nice and crisp. Have to get used to only 3.5 lbs pressure needed rather than 8. Also be careful until I am used to it. A very quick, short reset. Once its range tested, thinking I will get another for my Oly AR15.
