Not trying to push the Black Friday stuff, but you should jump on this right away, before it sells out.

I haven't personally used this 308 BCG yet, but I have two of their 5.56 BCGs and they're good quality.  You can't beat that price - and if you don't like it, you can certainly sell it later for more than you'll pay now...

Not a much of a builder myself, but as an owner of a Radical Firearms 300 Blk AR I can testify to their quality level. At $89.00 for a 308 BCG that is a steal.

I'll seriously consider that to BCG also what barrels are you guys recommending I'd like to stay 18 inch light as possible I see Juggernaut makes a good barrel for the price $275 fluted 1 and 10 twist 5r rifling Wisconsin is home to a couple of really good Barrel manufacturers Krieger being one of them I'd like to keep the cost of the barrel under 400

On the BCG, and the company - I used one of the Radical Firearms 5.56 stainless barrels, 16" midlength, on a coyote gun for Kim last Christmas - it's a very accurate barrel.  I don't know how they make what they make, and sell it for what they sell it for, but it's proved itself for me, thus far.

Honestly, I'd do this one, for a light hunting rifle.  I wouldn't even consider anything else (if it was my build)...

They also have a great lightweight lo-pro gasblock, and you can add that to the barrel as an option - a little cheaper that way, at the same time.

I ordered 300 of the Faxon 16” gunner barrels. They are good shit! If you believe “ounces equals pounds” then know the pencil barrel is 2.55 ounces lighter than the gunner.

Talk your wife out of an 18” and down to a 16”. Unless you’re stretching to over 400 yards, you won’t notice a change in accuracy or performance. Get the Gunner and a Ti has block and muzzle device. All the swing-weight will be at the receiver, and the perceived weight will be very controllable.

The nice thing about building them is spreading the cost out over months and months I guess that's going out the door but when there's a good deal you have to jump on it so everybody is happy with there faxon barrels?

You're funny.  My 16" 5.56 pencil barrel doesn't string when it heats up.  Doesn't change point of impact.  That's just how good it's made, and Faxon does a great job with the pencil profiles.

Besides, how many times you gonna heat this barrel up when you're hunting - even hog hunting?...

98Z      Why yes I have...it wasnt night though....I did come to the conclusion it was too slow for me...I  like hunting hogs like this :laffs:
