SpairParts Posted January 6, 2019 Report Posted January 6, 2019 (edited) I have about half the parts to build a 308 starting with a 14 1/2 barrel with a pined/welded flash hider/ Hand guard, MBT2s trigger and other small parts. Aero procession for a upper/ Lower is $325 Matrix Aerospace upper/lower is $175 So sense my wife keeps me broke i really want to get the Matrix stuff. Used it in the past on ar15s and never a problem. Any reason not to use it for a 308? Edited January 6, 2019 by SpairParts fucken wanted to!
jtallen83 Posted January 6, 2019 Report Posted January 6, 2019 Bought a Matrix set last summer, looks good so far. I have installed the small stuff but set it aside when the Aero rail wouldn’t fit. The ears on the rail that fit over the upper did not fit. Still haven’t decided on the direction that build will go. Judging by the lack of issues brought up here I am guessing they go together and function. Generally when a brand has issues we see them here, think PA-10.

I've build a few rifles based on Aero blem sets and I have yet to be able to find the blems. I've found Aero parts to be a good enough value to stop using Vltor uppers in my AR builds, and I'm a huge Vltor fanboi. Edited February 12, 2019 by wurger

Of all the sales I've seen on the Matrix .308 sets, Primary Arms does it most. I'll pull the trigger on another set sometime, but I just feel like I'm cheating on my Gun Pusher - he's a hell of an Aero dealer... it'll get shipped to him, too...
Agent Venom Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 I love my 2A Armament Xanthos. Fit and finish is superb got a good discount on a blemished one. They were kind enough to point out the blemish- I still don’t notice it. They even through in a blemish handguard (though I didn’t use it) the 2A flat out rocks for weight and quality.
