Thanks for the link, good reading and i need to get mine finished. need to get some type of water purification system. i've looked a several just never bought it yet. it may be time.

Look into MSR.   Good water purification isn't cheap, but it won't get you infected, either.  MSR has always made phenomenal water purification products. That's all we bought, militarily, for commercial water purif. equipment.

That is a good read, I always look at getting home like elk hunting , instead of a elk I am hunting home. I know about where it is and I will use the terrain, and all the cover and other factors I can to remain undetected. Around here getting home will mean cross country and that is hard work because everything is steep so plan well and use every bit of topography to your advantage...

German company Kum makes magnesium pencil sharpeners.  Adding to my emergency kits going forward.
