Deer skinning hoist finally

Had a decent set-up back at my old place in the garage. Nice steel beam to bolt the hand winches into. After dumping wife # 2?, 6 years ago & moving out , been meaning to get something set up at my current residence. Slipped my mind each season till I was bringing home a deer. Nothing special,  but it'll do for now. 2 $12 high quality Harbor Freight 2000lb hand winches, 3 ft treated 2x4, 4 200lb eye screws, 2 hd rack plates & 2 200lb clips to connect. Should be fine to hold a whitetail. It held my 250lb swinging from it.

Thanks. Yes, might need to lower  it another inch or 2 to make it better.

I have a block and tackle with a home made gambril i've had in a shed for years. ceiling is 14 feet where it is chained. but i don't ever kill anything to put on it.

Never even built a AR before, not to say i haven't had them tore down all the way to replace or repair. just never bought parts and put them together

I would bet between 15 to 18 feet.

I would just like to have a place to set up a few of them.   I own about a 1/3 acer in the south part of town.  Neighbors would frown on me setting on my roof with a deer rifle.

Yes, it's bad enough when I start loading arm loads of black rifles and pistols in the back seat of my pickup for a range trip.  😁😁😁
