Armed Eye Doc
https://www.windhamweaponry.com/ It is with deep regret that we announce the closing of Windham Weaponry. Our website/online retail ordering system will remain active through Tuesday night, Sept 12. We will do our best to ship all orders this week and early next week. No credit card will be charged until the order is shipped. Twelve years ago, when we started Windham Weaponry, our shareholders and longtime employees were excited to continue the traditions and spirit of Bushmaster Firearms, after the new owners decided to leave Maine. We built WW into a company we could be proud of providing outstanding customer service, high quality products, as well as a great place for our dedicated employees to work. The last few years have been a very challenging time for the firearms industry, and we have struggled to keep the WW dream alive for as long as possible. Unfortunately, we have not been able to meet our loan obligations with the bank after they worked with us as much as they could. There was a glimmer of hope when we were negotiating with an investor to help keep WW alive and healthy, but that just fell through. We have begun discussions with Keenan Auction Company to determine the best course of action for a full liquidation which should happen within the next month or so. Our shareholders and employees truly appreciate your loyal support all of these years.

Cunuckgaucho
That's sad news,it's bad enough when decent retailers close up shop but more so when a good manufacture does.
Magwa
I am afraid that this sort of thing will happen much more in the next few years ...
MtnMike
Love my WW R16SFST-308. It's become my "hunting" AR. Rock solid dependable, accurate and relatively lightweight for a large frame. They were a great company to deal with as well. always promptly answered any and every question I ever had. Rare level of customer support in this day and age. Huge loss to the shooting community IMHO. They did things right.
Madhouse
That really sucks. As a native Maine-iac, Bushmaster, and later Windham Weaponry were a source of pride to have in the home state. And now they've both gone the way of the dodo bird. Bummer.

MtnMike
That is great news! My WW is still my go to and grab AR10, while the Daniel Defense remains largely a safe princess.
bubbas4570
I owned a Bushmaster 11.5/5.5 carbine way back in the early 90's, it was a great little rifle. One of my favorite current guns is my (older manufactured) Bushy A2 carbine upper on a fixed A2 lower build.....had to trade something to get that one back from my son!!! I hope Windham can keep it going from now on! Edited May 5 by bubbas4570
