Robocop1051 Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Taken from 'Stickman':Here is a first seen view of a prototype component... guesses as to what it is, who makes it, what weapon platform, or caliber?
98Z5V Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Mega billet receiver looks like it's sporting the Noveske key-mod rail. NICE!!!
unforgiven Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 <dontknow> but it looks cool with no F/A. <thumbsup>
98Z5V Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 I like the "integration." Badass. <thumbsup>
98Z5V Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 This has to be Mega's answer to the "monolithic" upper, after the VLTOR lawsuit threat - and it's alot like a LaRue OBR, in construction. It'll be badass. <thumbsup>
Robocop1051 Posted November 3, 2012 Author Report Posted November 3, 2012 Guns are changing faster than women's fashion.
planeflyer21 Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Guns are changing faster than women's fashion.Or you could say "Guns are changing faster than Robo's pink lady gun." <thumbsup>Jon
Matt.Cross Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Only thing I can come up with besides being Mega's new offering, would be Seekins Precision is coming out with something new.
imschur Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Looks like a Mega product to me.Aesthetically I dislike this keyhole system. Looks out of place on a firearm. On the positive you can hang a firearm anywhere you had a picture on the wall ;D
tolbndfishin Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 I won't comment, cause you asked for guesses. I saw the original photo with caption. Not bad integration, not crazy about the keyhole pattern like imschur, but not cause it's out of place on a firearm. I just dont care that much for it on that. It's only one angle, but Im digging the angles on the upper and rail.Russ
98Z5V Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 .308 for sure - based on the upper receiver, and how Mega makes theirs (Armalite-type cut on upper). Can't wait to see what these are going for. I feel that a call to Dave Branson is in order here. <thumbsup>
Matt.Cross Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 .308 for sure - based on the upper receiver, and how Mega makes theirs (Armalite-type cut on upper).Have to agree on that one when I look at the way the ejection port and shell deflector are cut, identical to the MA TEN uppers. Mega it is!
98Z5V Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Damn. And they're doing the 5.56, too. Now I'm up in the air on the 300BLK build... :o[img width=810 height=540]http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/wp-content/blogs.dir/5/files/mega-arms-308-prototype/STCK4522-A-1000-MT.jpg[img width=810 height=540]http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/wp-content/blogs.dir/5/files/mega-arms-308-prototype/STCK4527-1000-MT.jpg[img width=810 height=540]http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/wp-content/blogs.dir/5/files/mega-arms-308-prototype/STCK4528-1000-MT.jpg
Matt.Cross Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Damn. And they're doing the 5.56, too. Now I'm up in the air on the 300BLK build... :oDon't be, this is no problem that a completely seperate build won't fix. Heck, what's one more purpose built AR in the arsenal? Useful, that's what! >:D
Robocop1051 Posted November 5, 2012 Author Report Posted November 5, 2012 Also.... If anyone was looking closely, those two parts were made on a 3D printer!
98Z5V Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Yep! The aluminum ones should be coming in about 2 weeks. Gotta see if Dave knows anything yet, or has received info.
