GDrights308 Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 Congratulations. So there is hope. Still waiting @ 300 days. What kind of accesories do have?
sketch Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 Well if you waited this long you should have a new budget for glass (scope) what are your range expectations ?
GS455 Posted October 12, 2013 Author Report Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) Man I'm sorry. I was a little over a year. Haven't taken it to the range yet but my trigger is messed up. All stiff and spongy. NOT a two-stage "match" feel. They said it would be a six week turnaround. I'll get around to sending it back before too long. Just realised I never updated. FYI - I sent mine back and got a new trigger group and now it feels like a dream. Less than two-week turnaround. Roughed it in wearing a 4x ACOG and was slapping 16" steel at 300 yds no problem. Unfortunaltey it's just gone back to RR again under warranty due to tight chamber (?) Discussed here if anyones interested . . . Edited October 12, 2013 by GS455

GS455 Posted October 31, 2013 Author Report Posted October 31, 2013 I think I paid around $1,400 for mine from Class3Weapons.
unforgiven Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 So did I with the winter guard,ambi-selector,and collapsable stock.20" incher.
Spaniky73 Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 I am up too 445 days on an upper only. Anyone have any info?
unforgiven Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 What kind of upper did you order brother?? Hiya been??
Spaniky73 Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 A4 mid length. Nothing special. Been ok.
blue109 Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 My buddy has wanted a 308 for a while. Decided to look around on gun broker for xmas. Found a guy with 2 LAR8s who lived in the same city as his brother. Had his brother give him a call. They decided to each buy one. Ordered the 26th, should be here at the FFL Monday. Don't know the exact model, or price, but he had said in the past he wasn't going to pay over $1400. Seems like a much better option than waiting a year, even if you pay a little more.
planeflyer21 Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 That's what I did blue…shopped, found IN STOCK, ordered. And the prices on both were a couple of hundred less than many of the "order and wait" offers from gun shops.
DUBJT Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 I've had my EO on lay- away for a month now. They'll let me go 120 days no interest.
Spaniky73 Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Wed will be 15 months since I placed my order. Has anyone been waiting longer than me?
GS455 Posted January 6, 2014 Author Report Posted January 6, 2014 Man . . . Have you called them? What have they said?
planeflyer21 Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 One thing I see that keeps coming up with many people. "I ordered the gun through my LGS and it has now been X-months, still nothing." Meanwhile, new-in-the-box RRA LAR-8s keep popping up for sale on auction sites. IF I were waiting I would also be looking at these sales…you know, to see if my LGS has auctioned off my order one or five times.
Armed Eye Doc Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) I could understand the wait time a year ago, but there are LAR8's in circulation now. I would call LGS and ask them to call RRA to find out what the hold up is. You may want to look elsewhere if you want one sooner. Edited January 6, 2014 by Armed Eye Doc
GDrights308 Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Still waiting for my special op @ 395 days. Contacted RRA last week, they gave the excuse they were waiting on the barrels. Is there only one barrel manufacturer in the US? To those young entrepeneurs out there, this might be a great business to get into. One saving grace for the ridiculous delay is most of the accouterments have been assembled, in part to the suggestions provided on this forum. Thanks guys.
Spaniky73 Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Doing good. Working my butt off so I can afford ammo. Lol. Though I do need to get into reloading. You?
unforgiven Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 I was jammin the hours, now in between projects.Workin on the house and movin snow.Getting some repairs on this decrepit body.Hopein to get out to the range soon.Added a SSA-E trigger and LaRue JPeg grip. Also a cuff sling to RRA.
Spaniky73 Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Sweet. When I get the new upper dressed I will post some pics. Would love to see yours with the new add ons.
